So there are some aspects that make it better to do one or the other.

Shipping bin allows you a very easy means of getting your product to market and make money. You don't have to go to each NPC individually and sell each thing which'll take time depending on what you're selling (not to mention it is always available while some days some npcs aren't in the shops)

Selling to shops however has the benefit of instant money, so if you needed some cash to make a purchase that day for something you have access to getting it.

So either is fine and just depends on what your plans are

Chickens may be the best money animal for the coop, but even then they're just 400g/day. I make enough money from other sources to the point that that 400 isnt a lot, so I'd much rather have a bunch of rabbits giving me feet
