You can save energy by fighting monsters with your sword first to see if you get a ladder because using the sword doesn't cost any energy. Every pickaxe swing does, so try to minimize those if you can.

That means that the first lighting strike will always be intercepted but any after will have a larger chance to hit something that isn’t a lighting rod

each barn can hold 16 pigs, each pig produces like 3 truffles, + forager perks which give you the chance to harvest 2 truffles at once
