Angler and Mutant carp are relatively easy. But for the harder ones, when trying to catch them don't get trapped in a loop where you're chasing them around.

If you see them dart to the top, don't hold down and zoom up to them, because they're likely to just quickly come down soon, and now you have all of momentum you need to re-gain control of. Instead, smoothly follow them around, almost in a way where you're expecting them to come back.

If the Legend is at the top of the bar, try to hover just the top of you green bar, rather than center it. Visa versa if they're on the bottom of the bar.

House upgrade is a pretty low priority early. THe Backpack upgrade, and Pickaxe upgrade are usually the first things I do.

No problem, Axe will give you the ability to break the logs on your farm and the one blocking the secret woods entrance. Pickaxe will allow you to clear the larger square rocks on your farm now. I would also suggest getting a Silo built too before you get animals in since it allows you to store Hay for them.
