Some of the rings come from crafting recipes as you level mining or combat, then you have a few more outliers which are rare. Glow stones not a bad one to have early on and it's craft-able. Not a weapon issue then. || Iridium band is a decent option since it gives you magnetism and attack power. Running two of those could be decent or you could add in a specialty ring like Slime charmer, Napalm ring or a Lucky ring if you can get your hands on one. They're correct about avoiding combat if you don't have to though, much more efficient towards getting further down with stair case spam. ||

You only need to cut down the trees on your farm if you need the space to use for something like farm land, animal space, sheds, etc or for wood. Chopping it all down without replanting means you lose the natural regrowth.

Blue berries are the best summer crop if you don't intend to jar or keg stuff before star fruit becomes available. I'd say probably start with what David mentioned and then look to add in some extra Melon crops once you get some money back from selling your first blueberry harvest, since they qualify for the Quality Crops Bundle if you can get 5 gold starred ones.
