It is pretty common advice people give, ignoring Basics, but I personally don't agree with it. I've seen a lot of new players with small farms, and low funds, and the usual culprit is 'I have no energy and I run out of time watering'. Plus, floor 80 and level 6 farming is a much larger requirement than 2 farming and floor 40.

Helps to keep in mind that overall you don't miss anything by being slow (except for one singular heart event with Sam). The only penalty is things get done later.

Once you can get the iridum rod you can use trap bobber which is huge, and at lv10 the fishing bar is much bigger. Also save potatoes and make dish o the sea! Max that bar out. Eventually you can get a natural level of 11 in fishing and with food and trap bobber it's wayyy easier

@sullen coyote dish o the sea is 2 sardine, 1 tater, 1 oil, which i think is pretty easy. You could do fish stew if you have ctab pots and save tomatoes, or lobster bisque if you have cows. Seafoam pudding is best but squid ink can be hard to come by if you don't have a squid pond
