There are only a few days (15-18) during spring and autumn where berries grow on bushes. You need to run around the whole map and collect them. You get 1 berry per bush +1 berry for every 4 levels of foraging you have. So at lvl 10 eat a survival burger and with 13 levels in foraging you get 4 berries while the buff lasts.

Ok without speed fertiliser you can grow 2 pumpkin harvests. If you plant and harvest 400 that will be enough to make you lvl 10 farming.

Cranberries are easier because you don't have to replant but they sell for a little less.

If you put a pumpkin in a keg you will get pumpkin juice which sells for 600 (or 1000 if you have artisan profession which gives +40% to stuff like wine and mayo at lvl 10 farming.)

If you use deluxe speed gro you can get 3 harvests of pumpkins

Now that the main money makers have been discussed, buy and grow about 10 of everything else for villager quests or to cook for yourself

Hi! I just got back into the game from a 2 year break! I finished my first year on the new farm, was incredibly confused by my setup on my biggest farm, and knew I needed to get more help.

Overall bests farms are the standard/forest/4 corners, best money crops are starfruit and ancient fruit but no so easy to get early on, earlier its easier to do potatoes/strawberries, blueberries and cranberries

Farming is better than ranching

And its always worth turning eggs into mayo and milk into cheese
