Are you using all that space immediately? If not, it's best to only clear the area you need for buildings, crops, and animals, and let the rest grow wild to give you a steady supply of grass for hay and trees for wood (and seeds). Empty ground gives you nothing.

I use an Xbox controller with a custom setup via Controller Companion. But I'm on PC and not a Mac.

when i go into steam and do the "test input", all the buttons on the xbox controller gets recognized.

its when i open stardew valley nothing gets recognized. anyone that has any input is appreciated ! SDV is such a diff game with the controller vs a keyboard and mouse !

I would suggest looking for mac-specific support online since macs are so different. I always find the best info when I’m on a mac-specific site.

Have you tried the Settings menu? There's a pull-down menu for getting the game to recognize the controller. Force Off (whchi I use because it conflicts with my app), Force On, or Auto-Detect.
