spring onions in the spring otherwise not really. one thing you can do every day is talk to the villagers which gives you 20 points of friendship once a day per villager. for reference one heart is 250 friendship points

talking to them at festivals counts too

i dont really recommend chasing them down but if you're in town or they're on your route somewhere its pretty quick and easy
