Well, my percentages were way off (which what I get for trying to do math in my head), but blobfish still comes out slightly ahead. The years I still have a record for on my previous save are years 9 and 12 (the first with one pond of each, the second with 2; and don't ask what happened to years 10 and 11 because I have no idea and did not erase them intentionally, which really pisses me off).
Anyway, those two years have blobfish coming in at a total of 442 roes, while lava eels only gave me 325 roe, meaning blobfish produced 36% more roe. (I seem to remember the numbers being a bit more skewed to blobfish in years 10 and 11, but I can't prove that, so ...). Anyway, the final numbers were blobfish at 346,528 and lava eel at 345,800.

Juice takes 4 days to make, pickles take 3 days. Pumpkin juice base price is 720, while pickles go for 690. Sounds better to make juice, right?
But every 12 days you make juice, you are getting 3 batches for a total of 2160, while in the same 12 days you can make four batches of pickles for 2760.
Add to this fact that all veggies except pumpkins and red cabbage are actually worth less as juice than pickles, and this is why I say you should never make juice.

No. Only clear what areas you need for animals, crops and buildings. Leave the rest to grow wild with trees and grass so you can have a steady supply of wood (and seeds) and hay. Of course you should clear weeds and other debris since these spreading can be destructive.
Empty dirt gives you nothing.
