the tree has 5 stages (iirc it's 5), and each day it has a 25% chance of advancing a stage

which should result in an average of 18 days for a tree to fully grow

Watch the TV every morning before leaving the house. It will give you game tips and recipes. When the TV tells you that salmonberry season has started (Spring 15-18) take time each of those four days to visit every map and pick all of them that you can find. They grow on every map except the beach and farm, and you pick them from the bushes with the pink dots on them.
Salmonberries aren't worth selling, but they make a good early game food source and can keep you fed and energized for all your chores; you can now do more every day, mine more and keep your health up. You can get enough berries to last weeks, even months.

Yeah, wood is whenever you can. Do yourself a favor and don't clear your farm entirely. Only clear the areas you are going to use for buildings, crops and animals. Leave the rest to grow wild with trees and grass; you can use the steady supply of wood and hay. Of course, feel free to clear out the weeds and debris as that stuff just gets in the way and can actually be destructive.

Yes, your mileage may vary. I switched to common mushrooms at the end of summer in my last playthrough. That allowed me to sell my cheese and make a little extra money before finally starting to use it as my food source once I unlocked the|| Skull Caverns. ||

Sure. If you can do the quest, it's great. You make a little extra money and gain friendship points. There's no penalty for NOT completing the quests, so don't worry about it if they are asking for something impossible or too difficult to be worth your time.

Trees don't die naturally. You have to axe them or they get struck by lightning.

Mushroom trees will die off in Winter, but the taps will stay in place, and come the First day of Spring the Mushrroom trees will be back complete with the tappers on them.

I always make coffee, then make Triple Shot Espresso with that. Speed boosts are a great way to get the most out of every single day. The game just seems so slow without them.

The hardest part of any new save is not having Triple Shot Espresso and Spicy Eel.

Hey guys I just got the game, I’m literally just in like Day 4 of spring, I don’t really understand what I’m supposed to be doing 😥 I can’t find like 4 villagers for the life of me and I feel like I have so little energy and time in one day to get chores ie clearing the area, watering crops, talking to everyone, buying and planting more crops done.
