You need to get copper ore from the mines, then Clint will tell you how to make copper bars. Gather lots of copper, make copper bars, then take the copper and tool to the blacksmith to upgrade

Beware that he will steal your tools for two nights when he upgrades them, which can be a problem if it's the watering can since you can't do any watering on the next day

The mines are kind of to the north, there's a rock in the way which disappears after a week I think?

Take the pickaxe there, and you can break the rocks. There are monsters there too but you will be given a weapon when you go in.

If you've already given in a dandelion/daffodil to the community centre, I'd sell off the forage things.

Keep clay, fiber, hardwood, stone, wood, ore, coal since they're useful for crafting. Algae and seaweed are also okay to keep since you'll probably need 5-10 at some point and they're annoying to get.

There's things like the special orders which give you bonus money if you have the item - but people hoard way too much stuff and you could just sell earlier and use the money instead of hoarding the item 😛

Super quick way I found to farm copper is just warp to 30, go down the stairs, if you see ore, hack it, then go back up ladder - rinse & repeat = lots of ore. Works for other types on other floors too.

No, you take the ladder back to the top (via “leave mines”) and then go back to 30 via elevator. One extra step involved - but saves lots of time trying to find a ladder to go down.

Yup, absolutely. I did it on 40/41 for iron, but 50/51 might be better — haven’t needed it much since I did that
