🟢 (dark green) for nature related stuff: wood, algaes, sap, hardwood, saplings, tapper produce etc...
⚫ for mining related stuff: stone, ores, bars, coal, gems
🟢 for spring crops
🟡 for summer crops
🟠 for fall crops
🔵 for fishing (usually like 2-3 chests)
🟤 for foraging stuff
🟣 for rare items (sometimes the gems go here)
:grey_circle: for mob drops (if it doesnt fit the mining chest)

and thats usually enough, then adding more specific chests whenever it starts to make sense / i need more storage, like
for flowers

Spend your first day planting the seeds you get in your house, then go foraging. Getting your foraging skill to level 1 unlocks field snacks. When you chop trees down, you'll get seeds you can craft into said snacks to keep your energy levels up.

Make a box, 50 wood, you have pretty much no inventory space to start with.

Day 2, now you've sold all the stuff you foraged, go to the shop and buy all the cauliflowers you can and plant them.

Farm clearing, foraging and fishing is a good way to build up supplies, field snacks and a few coins to buy more seeds.

Take part in the seasonal events, raise animals.
