Well, at the egg festival, Pierre will be selling strawberry seeds. Now, it is up for debate if players should plant and get 2 harvests or buy and wait for next year, since you can only get these seeds at the egg festival. Pierre also sells decoration.
For the egg hunt, you'll get a small reward for winning, but don't feel bad if you lose. It's not very important.

Don't forget that reseting your day is a valid tactic.

1. Fishing. Good early game, Not to mention it's probably the first thing you get to have easy money
2. Planting good crops that sell for good money. (Either base crop or processed) You can check on the wiki the gold that each crop you want to plant sell. Aswell, You have a little collection (that you don't need to but it's gonna be nice if you can) of selling almost every foraging and farming item in the game. it isn't worth it, but atleast you get yourself all the items appearing in the collection. :)
3. Preserve jars is good aswell. They unlock on farming lv. 4, But makes a lot of good money.. You can get to Farming LV. 5 in the end of spring.. Just like I did (You don't need to, It would be nice if you could just to unlock this) Vegetables turns to pickles and fruits become jelly. Sell those! They are awesome :)
4. Another alternative is kegs aswell. Wine sell for so good price, Aswell Beer.
