i think you should be upgrading your coop first

in a vacuum, I rather have jars, but context is relevant. What season is it? You usually want to have a greenhouse before winter, and upgraded barn + goat is needed for it. If it's getting close to winter, maybe prioritise the barn upgrade so you can unlock greenhouse. If it's still far away, the jars will have time to pay off and make money for the barn upgrade.

for now, just focus on making your farm functional. Worry about the looks later - and don't worry, pretty much everything is reversible. Robin can make buildings teleport. No need to break down a building and rebuild it

(2) the season ends on the 28th day. Crops die afterwards. Don't plant long-growth crops like cauliflower if they won't finish growing before the season ends.
(3) Go do the community centre stuff. It sort of 'teaches' you about the game.
