Now, why pick shrooms?
- The primary benefit of fruit bat cave is that it completes specifically the artisan bundle much more easily, due to fruit tree fruit.
- However, the artisan bundle only requires 6 of the 12 listed items to complete.
- You need a cow and a goat to complete the Animal bundle anyway, so Cheese and Goat Cheese are basically a given.
- Preserves Jars are a good way to make money early game, so the Jelly occurs as a side effect of profiteering..
- Cloth is reasonably easy to obtain as a gift from Emily in the mail, or from recycling Soggy Newspaper (10% chance).
- Honey is easy to obtain with the Bee House crafting recipe.
- as such, you only really need one fruit tree fruit to complete the bundle, as Truffle Oil is hard to rush.
- The primary benefit of mushroom cave is money.
- 400g per day funds an apple sapling in ten days.
- Coincidentally, you need three apples for the fodder bundle...
- ...and the bat cave drops apples at 2% per fruit. Getting three apples from the cave for this bundle is a nightmare. You need an apple tree anyway. Might as well use it to satisfy the sixth item for the artisan bundle in addition.
- After day 10, the cash in hand of shroom cave is basically all upside compared to the bat cave. This funds extra blueberry plants in summer, extra cranberry plants in fall... having money to invest makes more money. Money multiplies on itself, and the early head start gets you Places faster.
