You can never go wrong with ingredients fish ponds. Sea cucumbers for Lucky lunches. Flounder, midnight carp, and midnight squid for making Lucky Lunches. Lobster for Lobster Bisque if you want a fishing buff food not quite as good as Seafoam Pudding, but one that will last all day.
As far as roes go, the most valuable roe is lava eel. Blobfish is second. Ice Pip and Sturgeon are tied for third. You'll need Sturgeon for the caviar for a couple of things.
And be aware that though blobfish is only the second-most valuable roe, it outproduces lava eel by about 40% to 60%, so it is actually a bit more profitable.

You do get 3 harvest per season of cabbage if you plant it at the start while melon is two

so if you have the initial income and enough machines that can lead to more profit over time as you process the extra crop. Guaranteed but melon giant crops have more than 9 melons in them and has the survival factor, so yeah

From Spring 15-18 you can pick salmonberries by shaking any bush with red spots on it. You can get hundreds of these over the course of 4 days.

I think the game like, checks ONLY the ID for things when you wear / put them in machines, but in keeping track of the item itself, I guess the category determines it or something

Which is why you can't casually use underwear as a staircase in the mines
