@ambersgone for one, there are technical considerations: Stardew uses peer to peer multiplayer, there is no central server, so someone's phone would have to host the game. Also, the multiplayer version of the game has worse performance which is significant for many phones

If you're still earlier than Spring 15, that's when salmonberry season starts, running through the 18th. You wander all over the map shaking berry bushes and get hundreds of salmonberries. While not worth selling, they make a pretty good food source early game just by sheer numbers.
The same thing will happen in Fall with blackberries, which are more valuable.

@ArcaneDescent @JessYoMama You can do it without a mod. Go to %appdata%/StardewValley and open the file called startup_preferences. ctrl + f for "playerLimit" and you'll find something like this: <playerLimit>-1</playerLimit>.

Change the -1 to any number you like...
