The tree has to be fully grown to have fruit and it depends on the season - a pomegranate tree will only produce in fall for example unless it’s in a greenhouse

You have to tap on whatever item you want to move or whatever empty space on the wall you want to fill, then, without moving or pressing anything else, TAP the left virtual button (not the joystick, the button) to place or remove the object. Make sure you have qn empty space selected on your inventory or it won't work.

until you get the greenhouse, the main focus for the beach farm (in my opinion) is the animals and fish ponds, then use the greenhouse to get money from plants, and then get a slime hutch for extra money
