Okay, if you plant on day 1, you can get away with only using regular Speed-Gro. It's 1 pine tar and 1 clam for 5. You get 5 harvests per summer instead of only 4. Deluxe Speed-Gro will only give you the same 5 harvests, but it will give you two day's grace period, if you need to plant on the 2nd or 3rd.

Not really. Ancient fruit or starfruit is good. The fruit trees are in addition to them, because you plant them around the edges of the greenhouse, not in the dirt.
