Don't worry about being broke all the time. It's all part of growing your farm, since you are constantly spending money on upgrades, seeds, buildings, animals, all in an effort to make more money.
Being broke is just part of the early game experience.
Make it a goal of completing the pantry bundles as early as you can (year 1 fall or winter is easily possible). The greenhouse can really help turn your money worries into money goals.
Also, winemaking is the best way to make money in this game, so tap oak trees soon as you are able, because you'll need oak resin for kegs.
