You're missing Json Assets and TrainStation
I have both of them
I just downloaded the newest Json Assets file and train station was working fine before this and I havent touched the file at all
artisan valley, advanced melee framework, bus locations, cherry's train station mod (not sure what that is called)
[TS] Downtown Zuzu 0.8.2 because it requires mods which aren't installed (Cherry.TrainStation) according to this the train station mod isn't installed

it's complaining about missing characters that are not native npcs: Zach Sylas, Lilith, so i doubt reset fixed it? usually the Error Handler mod can fix problems caused by missing npcs, so i wonder what's going on with those
or are those your children?

So, I've only barely dabbled with the mods that let you use custom sounds. Do they always have to replace an existing sound? I ask because I have lots of BFAV animals that are...not really farm animals and I want to make them make sounds, but replacing a sound just ends up playing the replaced sound everywhere else (naturally)
I think walk of life is just not working now
both SAAT and custom music can add new sound ids as far as i know (and then you'd have to edit the BFAV animal to use the new sound id). i don't think it would be a problem, but it's more #making-mods-general territory
So I have a mod compatibility issue, and the mod doesn't have a generic mod config menu ability, I have yellogs wood buildings, and I found an obelisk mod that I like better than yellogs, but when I load it in, they aren't compatible. Is there any way to get the obelisks that I like to be the ones patched in instead of the yellog ones?
in what way are they not compatible, do you get an error/warning message or?
error message, both are CP mods, and when they try and load at the wizards hut it just shows the vanilla textures for the obelisks

a lot of us with windows 10 or 11 as like a tech issue are unable to screenshot anymore. I've had that specific issue for months despite uninstalling and reinstalling the screenshot app several times

Try screensnip? Windows button+shift+R? Was it R or S. 
Otherwise a 3rd party app like ShareX or something?

Pro tip for next time you have a strange mod. Take a look at the manifest and then the update keys, if it has one. The last four names are what you want to put at the end of the nexus link

So, I'm playing with Adopt 'n Skin and was getting a lot of errors. Found out I was using the beta version. Reinstalled the mod, saved my skins folder but now I have 3 small problems:
1- My horse changed its color and Idk how to change it back.
2- I have 4 skins for the cows, 2 blacks and 2 browns and one of the brown changed its color. Is there a way to revert it?
3- As you can see, my cat name is Dino. But that's wrong, because Dino is the name of the Dog lol When I started the game I choose the cat, but now it shows the name of my dog there.
to change skins, you'll need to use the console commands which are listed on the description page
that said I've run into the dino/cat problem before (where every time I get a new pet, that part gets a little screwy and the name and pic no longer match) and unfortunately I'm not sure if there's a fix for that

remove all your furniture from the house except your bed, then save the game. afterwards, close the game and remove seasonal garden farmhouse. run the game again and replace your furniture.

Hey, I’ve been trying to use this mod mid-save and have used the reset terrain features like they said to, but now my bushes and trees won’t stop shaking (out of lack of a better word) and have gone in some closed off places. Is there any way to stop this or will it eventually stop?

A similar thing happens to me when I've got two bushes stacked on each other. Reset usually fixes that.

Trying to use happy birthday mod, was working completely fine, until it needed updating as well as Stardust Core, However It keeps coming up with StardustCore skipped because of StardustCoreD11 not being there, however it is all there In the mod folder any ideas on how to solve it?

Apparently yes, but it leaves an uneasiness to play with fewer mods since I play more than 150 mods at least, the performance of my PC is not a problem, I went with more and it was as if I were playing vanilla

is it pointless to have multiple dialogue expansions installed, or will the game pick from any of the expansions for what an NPC will say that day?
if they have dialogue for the same day, it will pick from the one loaded last

I had to remove this mod because some things caused problems since it has a lot of clothes, note that this one has clothes from other clothing mods, I just noticed that they shared the same image and the same json

It takes me too long to load, sometimes the starting load freezes, is that normal?
how long is "too long"? does it happen if you dont click anything?
that is says its not responding is normal sometimes with big mods
to start a new one it took me almost 8 min
sometimes I click it and it shows that the smapi does not respond
the longest I waited was almost 3 min and that was with almost 180 mods is that since I updated almost all the mods and deleted some since I don't use them, I said that with less I would load quickly apart from the fact that I had many problems with the smapi sometimes it didn't even start luckily 2 days ago there was an link here about the new way to install the smapi it was only with that that I was able to enter but as I said before it froze very ugly so I had to eliminate what I no longer used or what I already it was not to my taste
PyTK slows loading times quite a bit afaik, maybe its worth disabling it (put a dot in front of the folder name so its called .PyTK) and see if there is any change?

The simple solution would be to download winrar it is free and easy to use

7-Zip might be ugly, but it’s much better and actually free

Just use whatever you want yourself; it’s just that WinRAR objectively doesn’t do anything better than 7-Zip, other than being a tiny bit prettier (that’s subjective though) and is a bit clearer for newbies - which is why I said to not recommend it. Anyway, shower and sleep time

You don't have to unzip them on windows normally, and if it really wants to it will ask. I click into the zip and copy the folder inside, it does the same job
To go ever further off topic, I think 7zip/LZMA2 technically isnt state-of-the-art anymore.
(It had Issues updating metadata for the longest time)
on windows you dont need a 3rd party tool for .zips anyway
just doubeclick the zip and drag+drop the folder containted in it into your mods folder
I finally got the game running! I had tried to unzip the files without 7-Zip, and it didn't work, but after doing it downloading 7-Zip, it worked! Thanks for the help y'all!
If a mod on nexus mods shows as available for an update, do you just completely delete your old mod and redownload? I'm not seeing an obvious update button

you should safely be able to remove any portrait mods youre using by just deleting the file

Hey guys 👋 I'm trying to download and use SMAPI, i got it working just fine on my wife's laptop, but on mine the console commands box just won't open even though everything is structured and renamed properly. I'm using the game pass app on windows 10 and have mods enabled through the app. When i rename the stardewmoddedapi.exe to Stardew Valley.exe it changes the icon to the original icon, and when i launch it, it just starts unmodded. Does anyone know what could cause this? Hers works perfectly and i followed the exact same steps with both
Suddenly my game won't launch. I thought it might be a bug with the newest update to generic mod config menu but after removing the new version and restoring the older, I'm getting the same thing. Terminal runs then sits and sits. Then the session closes. Is this even the right channel for help? I played the game fine a couple hours ago, checked nexus for updates before launching the game again for another short session before bed, and the game won't load. The only thing that changed was updating that one mod (and reverting the change didn't fix the issue).

something simple to do whilst you wait for somebody who knows what they are doing unlike me would be to install a fresh smapi (it could just be smapi having a heart attack so try starting it with that) then remove all of your mods from the mod folder and see if you can atleast get to the main menu.
Mine doesn't give a log, it doesn't even open the console commands when i start. Just goes straight to the game. I have deleted the entire game and redownloaded, deleted the startup_preferences file, I've tried renaming the original exe and tried deleting it before renaming SMAPI's exe. Still just boots into the game instead of launching SMAPI
Mod count should have nothing to do with Smapi not loading. Are you pressing the console when it's launching?
Is this at me? If so, no, I'm touching nothing, just staring at the screen waiting for the game to launch.

What exactly are you having an issue with? Just the sheer amount of cooking, or a technical issue?
I'm full hearts with everyone but scarlet , but I'm still missing recipes? I'm not sure where to look , it's hard to find info on these mods

It comes with the mod file and api but only mod gets recognized when smapi starts up

downloaded the CP version of GH Peach Body but now it only shows up properly on file select. when i go into gameplay the body is the normal farmer body with the added issue of changing skin tone only affecting arms, and am unable to change eye colour
(Get Glam somehow makes it so two file selects show up idk why)

Could fix a lot of issues tbh. Can't assure you that one of them is the skin/eye issue you're having right now, but it's not impossible either.

looks like you have 14 mods that could be updated. try updating all your mods first to see if it fixes any conflicts
I already updated those mods but it still gives me the update message for some reason
thats pretty weird, could you double check your mods folder? for example, go into mods --> stardew valley expanded --> stardew valley expanded folder again --> open the manifest.json file in notepad and see if the version is correctly 1.14.15
if it's still 1.14.14 it might mean you accidentally put the updated versions you downloaded somewhere else (i've totally done that before lol)

You can just delete the numbers off the end 
Usual case is people unzipping/extracting into a folder named after the zip/rar instead of just extracting/unzipping

Will reinstalling the mods I uninstalled fix a json shuffle? It's weird cause I've loaded this day 5 times now and only got a json shuffle once. I reloaded again to see and yes another json shuffle. The first 4 times I reloaded this save, I already removed the mods and didn't get one. So can I just reinstall stuff and will it fix it?

Anytime you change your JA mods you can risk a shuffle. In multiplayer, you need to have exactly the same mods in exactly the same order as your friends.
Anytime you have a shuffle and then solve it, old objects may remain affected but new ones should be fine. You can sell or trash the old items, and spawn in new ones if needed with CJB item spawner.

So I was able to fix it with the mods removed by going to my save backups and getting the save that was the same day, just before I removed the stuff and the shuffle is gone. I couldn't get the shuffle to go away by adding them back into the save I was loading.
For some reason whenever I walk around the fps is dropping, almost Animal Crossing-level bad, and it’s really hurting my eyes. Any suggestions?

4 minutes doesn't sound too long when you have pytk and tmxl with that mod setup. hardware matters only so much with modded stardew valley

Yeah if a video is having you overwrite Stardew Valley files then you'll need to repair your installation. The game could be corrupted if you replaced the wrong files.

This is just a guess, but Turn to your Enemies seems like the only mod which could affect the behavior you're describing when it comes to Scythes

Thing with xnb is they're very likely to only work with one version of the game. So if the game updates that mod will break any future version.

If I recall, mobile had a way of activating hotkeys. Not sure if you have to turn that feature on or if it's there by default.

New ones, rule of thumb [DGA] or [CF] means adding new furniture. [CP] means replacing existing. That will change in a future version of SDV though.

Hey guys, just encountered another bug and was wondering if someone could help out. I was exiting the mines when Sterling's (from ARV) heart scene triggered with him on the train tracks. I was not actually in that space when it triggered, and the rockslide hasn't even been cleared away in my game yet. It went through most of the scene until where I assume a train is supposed to pass, when my game sort of froze (in every way except Sterling's "breathing" or whatever animation was still playing) and there was the sound of what seemed like a crash or explosion. I couldn't skip or get out of it so I ended up having to quit the game. I'd post my smapi log but it's too big for the log parser (it seems to be completely filled with spritemaster stuff, especially "not scaling texture"). I found the end of the log though which seems like the error was not being able to find the cue "cm:passingTrain" or "cm:musicTrain".
Might it have to do with SVE moving the mine location, so the scene triggered in the wrong spot? As for the train, I have better train loot installed but not sure if that affects it, I guess I should take a look.

Okay so the issue is that the smapi log's size being too big isn't just from the error itself, but a ton of spritemaster stuff beforehand which doesn't even show up in the parser (e.g. [TRACE Spritemaster] [Validate] Not Scaling Texture XYZ is too small, repeatedd 50 trillion times). A number of those spritemasters are also "Purge" and some others. Also not sure why spritemaster is completely filling my smapi log, it didn't before. Only two things I can thing of I changed since, I added a small JSON mod (I didn't notice any shuffle) and I tried using the paint bucket from AT to change some building textures. I don't know enough about the inner-workings of spritemaster to know if those may have affected it or it's something else.
I can try to reload the save and skip forward to the same time of day at the same spot to see if I can recreate it with hopefully a smaller log
It'd probably help if you kept the first 100 lines of your log so that we see SMAPI loading with all your mods
The guide recommends starting from the top and deleting most of the bottom for this reason
I can copy the top separately, the problem is there’s all that spritemaster middle stuff that’s not part of the error that’s too big to copy through to the error. I could just combine the top part with the error part?
The problem is just the error is not usually helpful. The rest of the log provides context that people need to help you.
Yeah sorry I know , I'll try to copy the top too one sec, I just mean I might have to put it separately from the error part or just cut and combine them in another text file
if you know how to use powershell just head and tail the file
it's a lot easier than trying to copy in notepad

so you opened task manager and it just closed by itself?
yes, then id load up teh game it be fine loading-- then id leave it be.. to see if it would load on its own n it wouldnt

Probably not unless you use Advanced Backup mod
The problem with expansions is they add a bunch of data to your game, so if you remove them the game won't know how to handle that

is there a way to get rid of the shopping bin from the beginning, or move it atleast... its broken so i bought a new one that isnt broken and i wanna use it but i hate that theres that one there thats broken
yep thats what I learned
id let teh game load. then id get to the loading screen, it would stay at a black screen in the corner. Then id have to get to windows, then it would crash. Then id try agian once more, to get it to load w/o doing that n it would just try to load but wouldnt o.O i have 76 mods(yeah would a little while) but even stil o.o i ve had 100s of mods on sims 4 n wouldnt be a problem @robust bison

When, starting the game(yes smapi) it loads fine. up to that point ^^ as i said. i dun want to repeat myself ^^; @robust bison
you've only given it a minute or two to load this time so I would try letting it load without touching or moving anything on your PC at all for like 5 minutes(normal load times)

Okay I've successfully recreated it with a shorter log. The spritemaster stuff doesn't show up in the smapi console, it's only in the log txt file (and doesn't show up in the parser either). So I don't think that has to do with this.

The scene triggers for me when leaving the adventurers guild/cave exit map from SVE and entering the mountains area, despite not having the train map available yet (though that might not have to do with the crash itself, which might be from the sound file?)

Hm okay, is there a chance it's some other mod that's somehow replaced or removed those cues? Because from what I can tell on the mod page that event works for other users, so I'm not sure it's a problem with that mod itself (ARV)?

so, "cm" is the Custom Music prefix, so what I suspect is "something got missed when porting to SAAT"
I would (a) report it to ARV so they can fix it and (b) report it to SAAT, which should really handle a broken music cue more gracefully than crashing the game

hello, I'm having a serious problem with my game. When I enter the Coop and the "new animal had hatched" dialogue shows up, the game does not move on from that screen and SMAPI throws this error
