sometimes naver pages dont let you translate, its weird. but the pack itself is labeled [CP-A] so you're probably just missing content patcher animations
God Naver has some good mods, that looks really good.
CPA is just an addon to CP to read the extra fields in a CP pack to do the animation part
while they probably should list CPA as a dependency, they are content packs for content patcher technically

Smapi says that UI Info Suite is no longer compatible. I checked the link it gave me but it redirected me to the same page where I got the mod. Is there a different version to this that I'm unaware of?

do you have custom furniture furniture anywhere? the error mentions custom furniture and alternative textures. i'd try removing (trashing) any custom furniture (including those stored in chests) and seeing if it solves the issue
if not, then i'd try removing alternative textures (i dont' know how safe it is to remove from a save, i'd guess it's fine though)
The thing is it only crashes in multiplayer 😄
When we play separate we don't have these problems.

I have one error that something is a valid Json even though I just downloaded the pack this morning.
SM is not a filter. It resamples every sprite on the fly and injects them into the rendering pipeline. Also hooks up its various caches into SMAPI to improve performance.
Now, the only two reasons the game could crash without it: SM prevents the game from crashing if you click while loading, and it will prevent a recursive crash during schedule loading sometimes.
I can't even imagine how SM could cause that. They're not even the same texture.
I mean, I guess I could imagine something, but it'd be silly.
Unless there's a hash collision.

Could someone help me with using the smapi console commands/save editing? I'm trying to accomplish something and I'm not quite sure how to do it!
I have one mod installed, but it just so happens to make the Junimo note in the CC uninteractable. I need the game to think I've interacted with it so I'll get the wizard's letter and actually unlock the CC... I've used debug completequest to complete the rat problem quest, but that didn't do it. Does anyone know? ^^

You can turn the rest off and keep the one you want on
Should be able to. Can always try by loading in, just don't forget to edit the config if you don't want the other options. Do you have Generic Config Menu?
And if it doesn't have a config menu in game, just start the game, get to the main menu and exit and go to the mod folder and edit the config manually

I have a weird problem I haven't seen before. At first it seems like normal json shuffle, but hear me out. Randomly, without changing any mods, item icons or names are changing from one thing to another. Not many of them, usually just one when I load up my game, but it could be any of them. It keeps happening, after multiple weeks and game restarts.
Again, the reason I don't think this is normal json shuffle is that this occurs without changing any mods.
Thoughts/ideas?
I did think "Richard's Glasses Jelly" was particularly good, though.

Unfortunately, no. It's happened to/with items from RSV, and SVE, and the one mod that adds that stripmall of shops accessible by bus.
So far nothing game breaking; using item spawner to correct things, more or less.
apparently there's a bug with JA that causes the shuffle when JA foorwear is installed (happens when exiting to title and reloading a save according to the RSV discord)
So, any mod that adds boots, basically?

Crap. I installed the mod, configured it to fully open the cc as it would be after the wizard, but the game still softlocks whenever I interact with the tablet.
Floods SMAPI with errors too but it did that before as well.

fwiw, that many failed transpilers usually means the copy of the game you have is not the copy of the game the mods were developed for. If you pirated it, that could explain it

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. The SMAPI installer will tell you what to set as the launch options when it completes (green text). I just installed SMAPI (no other mods yet) on Windows and I'm encountering a slight resolution problem
When I launch the game, the resolution is vastly different from what I'm used to and it bothers me
I've followed the instructions in the Troubleshooting guide on the wiki, but it doesn't seem to help
Has anyone encountered a similar problem or could guide me to make sure I'm following the instructions correctly ? (I feel like I am doing it correctly, but since it doesn't work, I'm assuming the problem lies with me)

Hmm, the thing is that the crash only happens if we buy CF furniture from robin and place it, there's no CF furniture that's already been placed
You might not be able to use CF furniture for whatever reason then. You are absolutely sure you both have the CF mod?
And are you putting anything in/on the CF furniture?
CF is honestly a bit buggy and hasn't been updated much in a while
I personally use DGA furniture exclusively

[Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'Characters/Farmer/hairstyles' asset (Coii's Girls Sets Pack and Coii's Hair Sets Pack). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.

I have a problem with my kids. I have a girl and a boy. When I started the game today, my girl suddenly disappeared and was no longer available. I received the following error message from Smapi.... "The invalid villager "Julie" in FarmHouse ({X:0 Y:0}) has been removed to avoid a crash when loading the save game "PinkyPie_288718318". (Have a custom NPC mod removed?)."
I have no idea what happened there. Everything worked yesterday. Can someone help me?

i was searching it up on google and some people without mod was having that issue too
I had the same problem. I had nine children and somehow, I lost three of them. And they were gone. I checked the save file--did a search for their names and I didn't find them. I fixed it by removing Child to NPC and the other child mods I had at the time (I try many of them, so I don't recall which ones they were), then I copied one of the SMAPI backup files and overwrote the save file. It took me a couple of tries to find one where all my kids were intact. So if all else fails that might be a way to get them back. Also, it helps to manually back up your save files before installing mods so you can revert to a good file in case things go wrong. Good luck.

Where exactly are you accessing the bundles from? Did you walk to the community center scrolls and interact with them, or is this from inventory, or some other place?

Somehow it seems to be interpreting the bundles as dialogue, and there's a speaker associated with them. However, this speaker has no dialogue on the stack, and then things are exploding?
I'm guessing the issue is coming from messageHeight = (int)Game1.dialogueFont.MeasureString(Game1.currentSpeaker.CurrentDialogue.Peek().getCurrentDialogue()).Y;
However, there's a null-check right before this
So the speaker isn't null—it's the .Peek() there throwing the error because there's nothing on the stack
Maybe it's thinking the speakers are the junimos?

I'm a little perplexed—I think you might need to run some tests:
Try removing the following mods, one at a time, and then seeing if the error disappears (you'll need to go to the bundles and try each time unfortunately)
- Custom Fixed Dialogue
- Custom Gift Dialogue Framework
- Quest Framework
- PyTK
Removing some of these may cause other mods not to load, but it should be okay, just make sure not to save (don't go to sleep)

@left hollow I'm not actually sure which aspect of CFD would cause this, but above a user reports a specific issue where interacting with bundles is somehow throwing a dialogue stack error, and they report that it's fixed by removing CFD.

Recolours are, but the reshade mod in particular uses a different method for...some unnecessary reason
i wouldn't call it unnecessary
it allows recoloring all mod content too
without creating additional assets
it's just a different way of achieving the same goal
(but probably with worse results, because you can't really control what gets recolored - everything gets the same effect)

So when you're reading your parsed log, look for the red stuff
at the top it's telling you your tractor mod is missing custom music
the other errors are being caused by a map you're using

basically you install Warp Snitch, go to the fish pond that's erroring (it's some non-basegame fish), fish everything out of the pond, reset the pond to be able to put other kinds of fish in, and then put in a basegame fish

That's what happens when you get a json shuffle in a fish pond.
Open the original farm map, and look at the custom one youre using. Are the tilesheets in the same order?

The tilesheets on a farm map have to be in the same order as they are in the vanilla farm maps, and any custom tilesheets go at the end

If you're using rsv: there is currently a JA bug that makes shuffle more likely. I have a build of JA that fixes that bug you can grab from the RSV server

A Json Shuffle is when your Json Assets items rearrange their numerical IDs or different players have different numerical IDs assigned to the same object. See here for details: https://stardewmodding.wiki/wiki/Json_Shuffle
Anytime you change your JA mods you can risk a shuffle. In multiplayer, you need to have exactly the same mods in exactly the same order as your friends.
Anytime you have a shuffle and then solve it, old objects may remain affected but new ones should be fine. You can sell or trash the old items, and spawn in new ones if needed with CJB item spawner.

Unfortunately, only way to diagnose that is by patch export Data/animationDescriptions, then looking for the animation that has one extra leading/trailing space, then finding the mod that adds the animation, then fixing it

If your copy is pirated, there's a chance that one or more of the files is damaged. I know of at least one pirated copy floating around that has a damaged hostpolicy.dll (and who knows what else, but that's what it fails on first.)
If you pirated the game, you may not be able to mod it.

Pirated copies sometimes have various edits made that make them unmoddable

Of course I have always made a backup of my data somewhere, but that seems to me to be a problem that I will not be able to solve on my own. Hi there I recently tried using mods but it's not working. I installed SMAPI and can launch the game via steam just fine but the mods I installed don't work?
I put the content patcher and harvest with golden scythe mods in the mods folder and as far as I can tell I followed the guide correctly
Your Mod might just not be working. There's other Scythe harvest mods though

If it works fine in safe mode, it sounds like something you have installed is causing the issue. You could try uninstalling apps you don't need, or perform a Windows reset if you want to clear third-party apps.
Or I guess you could try running the installer in safe mode.

As for the issue, what are you using to run it? Did you mess up on the naming process? I know I've accidentally mislabeled mine before through typos, and it messed multiple up because it was cows and sheep, so it had babies and sheared versions that didn't load from the one typo
No I found out the issue was I have to skins folders and 2 modding folders. One for testing and one for my actual game. I had the wrong skin folder lol

Hey anyone, I'm encoutering problems when installing SMAPI
The resolution gets changed and I can't figure out how to change it
Anyone has an idea on how to fix that issue ? I really want to play with mods but it bothers me way too much having my game being all zoomed in for no reason

there is a option to change the resolution in the menu (when ur in the game)

Yeah, but it's set to 1920x1080 (which is the resolution I use in vanilla), but with SMAPI, it's way more zoomed in
there is a seperate setting to change the ui size

Ingame settings are exactly the same in both pictures (1920x1080, 75% for UI and zoom)
But SMAPI is way more zoomed in compared to vanilla
I've tried going in the settings and quickly changing it to make sure it updates

As an fyi, bundling reshade exes like some nexus mods do is bad practice.
It nearly killed the whole project in fact.
Though fortunately that seems to be an unmodified exe

i havent updated a couple of things yet but that shouldnt be causing frame drops, since it was doing this before they needed updates
@tired brook If SMAPI is indeed respecting Windows UI scaling settings, can you make that optional?
And perhaps even non default?

As It was pretty much unplayable on a 4k TV
SMAPI is a console app, it can't respect or not respect DPI settings. The game itself respects DPI settings though. That's fixed in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.

It respects them either way, but players often have different settings set for Stardew Valley.exe vs StardewModdingAPI.exe. Have you already tried the fixes at https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Troubleshooting#Game_resolution_changes_when_launched_with_SMAPI_.28Windows_only.29?
Yep, both settings are exactly the same. The alternative fix didn't work either
Someone on this discord told me to try deleting the startup_preference file
But nothing worked
My initial suspects would be PyTK and maybe some other coremods
Do you have any utility apps for managing graphics settings (e.g. NVIDIA Control Panel)?

so i have to manually download the 300+ mods? 🥲
Its probably not that many downloads
But if you just straight autodownloaded them all your game would almost certainly not work

Yep (assuming you set them for StardewModdingAPI.exe). SMAPI doesn't do anything special for DPI settings, it just launches the game.
Nexus modpacks? I'm not sure, I think it just takes individual mod downloads
If you want to try that, maybe Mod Organzier 2 supports it
