I'm still a total newb, and I'm trying to run 28 mods on Android, on a Chromebook, although I've deleted them all at the moment just to work on SDVE "CustomMusic config.json denied" error I keep getting. I've reinstalled SDVE v.1.11.6 from Moddrop, and I've reinstalled all the support mods in their correct versions for Android, I think. I've bee trying to fix this CustomMusic thing for 2 days now, and I can't find any reason this should have even happened in the first place. I'm hoping some fresh eyes on this error might help me out? TIA

that's a permissions issue, would recommend asking a Chromebook-specific discord or subbredit
Okay, one question: Could this possibly be related to an OS Update that required Restart? Cuz I think I remember a notification when I shut my Chromebook down that night. Just wondering. 😉
I somewhat doubt an OS update would randomly change permissions, but it's not really relevant to the solution. You'd need to edit the permissions on that file. The precise way to do so on a chromebook I don't know. I recommend asking a Chromebook-specific place.
alrighty so reset terrain features works beautifully outside of the farm, the only issue is if I do it on my farm (or select "affect all locations") it removes my planted trees and adds back trees in strange locations (it's fine, I can reset the day and my farm is repaired). It seems my options are to A) reset location-by-location as I play and visit each spot again, or B) reset all and then remove all the strange trees (growing through sheds and fish ponds haha) and regrow my tapper patch. Either way, this seems like the best solution without starting a new game, so thanks again for your replies!

It tells me there's a problem with 22 mods
Generally the "empty folders" errors can be ignored, but if you have 22 mods' worth of errors probably something is wrong
I installed all of the prerequisites that all of the mods needed
But most of them won't load
How exactly did you add them
Did you extract the mods
Went to nexus mods
What do you mean by not loading?
Manual downloaded every single mod
Dragged them to the mods folder in the stardew folder
And extracted all of them "here"
Then proceeded to delete the rar files
And I have every single prerequisite installed
I triple checked
("22 mods with warnings" I believe these warnings are just the "these mods affect the save serializer" and "These mods directly change the game code" warnings, which aren't problems, it's just warning you they're doing more advanced things, so that line isn't indicative of issues)
Yet the game doesn't load 22 of them
Thing is, most of them aren't loading in-game

What I mean is, I launch the game, and some aren't usable "in-game"

(I'm also curious about stuttering/slow load times, is there a way to profile smapi to know how much time is spent on each mod? From enabling verbose logging, I have a suspicion quest framework is why it takes me 4 minutes to load a save but I can't be certain)
you could kick QF out and check how much faster it is
that is..... a very fair point
um the answer is "yes" but it involves "fork smapi and use VS's profiler"
(note that some mods that depend on QF wont load either, so its not only QFs load time then)

do you have PyTK cactus? that adds to the load time as well

okay so it did seem to load in less than a minute without QF (and therefore also without RSV) 
remove QF from RSVs manifest and try with most of RSV? :p
(if smapi removed RSV npcs for me, but I quit before saving, should I restore a backup save or did nothing actually change in my save)

The biggest hitter for RSV is the large number of additional maps which make schedule pathfinding way slower.

So I timed a normal load (3:40), a load without QF and QF removed from RSV manifests (3:32)... and a load without RSV 😿 (1:12) I have SVE too, so I'm amazed RSV adds over 2 minutes to loading my save? (and to be clear, this isn't loading the game, it's between when I select my save and when I can play)

Well I can't say for sure that having that version could contribute to your crashes, but some popular mods and frameworks had updated to be compatible with 3.14 and up, have you updated your mods recently?
How does using multiplayer with mods work?
I suppose so! Perhaps the other player has the latest versions, which would cause a problem if you have the old ones I imagine.

Extract and drop the folder into your mods, like how you do when you first download it
SM can use a lot of RAM if there are a lot of mods, though for me it doesn't use much RAM

Well, if you word it that way then I suppose so ^^, though any progress you've made on a modded play through is saved in your actual save file. Updating mods shouldn't affect it. (mostly)
If you are mass updating, use stardrop, makes things much easier.
And seems mostly solid unlike vortex, which messed up a few mods.

Yeah I am relatively new to SDV modding, but I guess Im overly paranoid about performance and outdated mods, as Im coming from Rimworld and Stellaris.
SDV doesn't fall apart quite so quickly, at least in singleplayer.
I'd port spritemaster to rimworld, but I have no idea why.

2-3 of my mods are always 'need to be updated' from smapi when they work just fine
It's due to the mod author not updating the version number in the manifest
Easy enough for you to fix yourself

in yri's animations.json, there are 2 spaces at the start, you can delete those and it should work fine

Does cjb item spawner support items using dynamic game assets?
I'm using the following mod

also for the love of god stop going to sudo when shit doesn't work that's probably what causes your permissions to get screwy in the first place
You should be able to check the permissions (I forget how) and then set with chmod

I feel like i had an install once that got feisty with me about permissions because i didn't make a certain folder when i set it up
apparently the - at the start of the file name was messing up chmod although that was what it was called when i downloaded it
if youre using gnome, right clicking the zip then clicking "extract here" should be fine

also, adding ' or " to the beginning of the file name/path corrects any issues in the terminal

this is also true, sudo should only be used if it requires root/admin access or needs a higher level of permission than user, usually itll tell you if it needs sudo
i extracted this do i put each of these into my mods folder separately or both in this folder

Its incredibly important to uninstall old mods while updating because things can be changed or deleted

Original Elliot Dialogue is not a SMAPI mod and should be deleted as its XNB which should be used

XNB mods are highly unwanted because it can mess up and destroy saves and games

So I'd suggest:
Delete yaml, content, festivals, maps, Original Elliot Dialogue.
Update SVE, TMXL
Install Mail Framework, Dynamic Game Assets
Oh and delete the smapi folder

there's no content.json or manifest.json so its empty as far as smapi is concerned
you need to merge those files into the original bonsters crop mod and overwrite the files

Automate is doing some weird stuff. I have 3 furnaces next to a chest, bars aren't going into the chest when the furnaces complete. If I grab the bars from the furnaces they automatically refill with ore & coal from the chest, though.
It also sometimes doesn't recognize machines right away in the Shed - I have to wait a day before it picks up new Kegs

@dire fractal unrelated, but note you can set the priority of chests up in betterchests, click the wrench, equal priority it likely puts it in the closest to top left that meets the requirements

there's other things you can do with the filter window at the bottom but that takes a bit more doing, priority is likely why you were having issues with it not going in the chest you thought it should though

No, the issue with SVE for the vanilla characters it edits except Sandy is that it adds new portraits for those characters which we won't adapt, not any coding issues
For Sandy, I'll be able to add code to have DSV overwrite SVE's changes, but for the others, they'll still be incompatible

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

i sincerely think you should learn to read your logs as well. it will save you tons of trouble in the future if you can figure out the errors for yourself (and lots of frustrations too)
Personally I would say yes since when it breaks, it breaks hard, and it's not a simple mod to fix
I highly recommend you do not I stall until both kids have reached applicable toddler stage. If first kid reaches it before second kid is born you can end up with two children of the same gender.
I am a big fan of child to NPC.
But dont whatever you do give your kid the same name as an existing npc or try it on multiplayer.

It isn't the same error technically as you don't have the same NPC I had the error with.
I just know it looks like an animation error which is what I had earlier.

Every time I move to a new map, it throws endless yellow errors in SMAPI: [Content Patcher] Can't apply data patch "Farmhouse by Robin's vision > EditData CustomWarpPoints > entry #1" to CustomWarpPoints: this asset has string values (but Object values were provided).
The mod maker isn't active anymore so I can't get in touch with them to fix it. Can anyone help?

well apparently theres a wrong string type being called so the patch for what its supposed to do fails
