Got me there, could just steal the stats of a existing weapon and tweak it a bit.
i mean yeah sure i can just steal the galaxy sword's stats and alter them slightly, maybe add an enchantment

is it possible that a mod I installed automatically gives me statue of perfection? I'm in Y3 and my farm is.. eh. and I went to place a diamond in grandpas shrine (never done it before) to see where exactly im at and I got the statue and i cant put a diamond in so.

hey folks, getting some weird dialogue at the flower dance, guessing it's a mod conflict or something, no errors in the log. i can talk to everyone normally once, but if i try to talk to any of the romancable npcs a second time, this text pops up. to be clear, none of them are at the right level to dance with anyway, so it's not really a huge issue, but i'm guessing it's not supposed to be happening?

yep, latest version, and nope, he's not set to platonic and i'm not partnered with anyone, this is just in the first year. also, everyone else IS set to platonic, but this dialogue appears for all of them
that's probably not via ppaf's CFD patch for the flower dance then, because that only affects the characters you are platonically partnered to
but it could still be CFD related
aedenthorn was recently kind enough to update CFD to re-add support for my edits to those lines
it did work fine when i tested it
but maybe it's conflicting with some other mod?
yeah cfd is the most recent mod i updated, i have the version from like 8 hours ago so i'll try the previous one maybe? but i'm guessing yeah it could be a conflict

it might depend on if the mod in question uses logname, otherwise you might just have to sift through everything that patches StringsFromCSFiles or that patches Dialogue/Character files via CFD

well, if you use CFD then you would make the character-specific patches by a patch to that character's Dialogue file
but normally it's just a single line in StringsForCSFiles that is used for all characters

alrighty, i tried reverting to the previous version of cfd, and now they all say "-1 Null" as their second line, BUT i can click on them a THIRD time and get the dialogue for asking them to dance
the thing is, CFD alone wouldn't be doing it

do you have another mod that affects the flower dance lines?
cause my guess would be that it's an interaction between CFD and such a mod if anything

alrighty, i'm back on the most recent cfd, took out a couple of mods (tho i'm thinking i need to take out more of the dialogue ones, i didn't realise i had So Many lol), and i'm still getting the weird dialogue that i reported in my first post.

okay after testing with many combinations of mods, i'm pretty sure this is cfd causing this, and the only mod i have that requires cfd is ppaf. soooo i guess i'm just gonna take those out for the event and then toss em back in after. thanks to everyone who tried to help me figure this out! 
Can I use SAAT with CM?
(It seems to conflict for me, my audio driver seems to restart whenever I start and close the game with both CM and SAAT at once)
But otherwise no problems, just this annoyance
hm, doesn't happen for me (lucky, because at least restarting the audio system crashes the game if it's running)
i had that issue with terraria i think, whenever i would switch from headphones to speakers
it would crash the game
If I have any music running in the background when starting up the game with SAAT and CM, it pauses for a sec, and jumps a bit back, then resumes
Same when quitting
I assume that’s a driver restart
Either that or it’s because the music I play is DRM’d (Apple Music)

Make a backup?
if your existing cave has furniture in it then they will be displaced when you install hot spring cave
in that case just use NoClip to move the furniture
(since some of them will likely be out of bounds)

It is paritees bfav. I cannot get it to work. Smapi keeps asking for me to download the spacecore support but im not sure where thats at.

it would be also good to check these kind of red errors on the log Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/Cellar' asset (Hideaway Cellar and TunnelSystem). and remove one of the mods, because they are incompatible (unless they have config options to help with it)

yeah my mail is broke I was about to uninstall those mods. I have installed the app from smapi.io/mods and it still will not let me buy animals if thats installed.

just download the latest version and extract it to your stardew valley mods folder
(if there’s any other errors after installing this it would be best to upload a log;

Hey, I am having trouble with Stardew valley expanded.. all my structures are out of place on the new farm.
I added the mod to a pre-existing save, and followed all the steps

the buildings, you can move via Robin
anything else - you should first pick up, save, THEN add the mods
then place down on a new farm
or use noclip mode mod. and reset terrain features

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).

I've been having a weird issue with automate and ppja occasionally, I have the dependency mod and will put items in a chest attached to the machine but sometimes it just refuses to intake items

If I manually put the item in it will spit it into the chest though
i noticed that the chest priority options don't work with (pfm)automate anymore too
my Automate used to just get frozen... like, it wouldn't take out items out of the machines. i had to take them out manually, then it was working again. never figured out the issue

the issue i was having was completely random, most of the time it worked, but sometimes it was just getting stuck

BASICALLY i'm trying to move my slime hutch to this one area of my custom farm, the space was even perfectly shaped and intended for the slime hutch to go there, but when i tried to build or move the slime hutch to that position on the map, it wouldn't let me. Elizabeth suggested to get "lookup anything" to try and find a wonky tile, but idk what i'm looking for.

I made a shed there. so there has to be a fucky tile SOMEWHERE in this top corner

SMAPI installer literally has instructions on how to make Steam launch SMAPI instead
anyway, not much else i can think of without a log
those instructions are Windows only. On Mac/Linux/Gamepass SMAPI just replaces the StardewValley executable.
also the log is always generated even if you disable the console
its the one consistent way i've found to make it so that i don't have controller issues when I launch the game
i kind of assumed they're using Windows, considering:
- it's a laptop
- they recorded a video with their phone; a Linux user would probably manage to record their screen instead
ofc 1 isn't much of a point, i actually installed Linux on my gf's mother's laptop, because Windows just wasn't doing it on that old piece of crap

I used this map too, had to edit that area (and a few others) in Tiled to get it to work.

okay hi again, my friend installed everything the same way I did but when he launches Stardew it doesn't pop up with a console nor recognize that he's running mods. Went ahead and downloaded SMAPI and installed it all, then extracted everything we needed to the mods folder but for whatever reason it's failing to recognize that he's running SMAPI or mods in the first place. Anything we could try?

From what I understand, there is a request to get access to the Nexus API by Stardrop's author, but we may have to be premium subscribers on Nexus in order to use it that way if it gets approved.

Yeah, SDV isn't the most optimized game, especially with mods.
You can also try a mod called Spritemaster. It resamples the graphics but it's supposed to improve load times as well. (Haven't put that to the test yet myself.)

I'm using the 'A Bigger Better Hilltop' map and tried to move the shipping bin to a better spot but there's still a frame for the shipping bin in the original spot? It's not interactable, but it does still act as a barrier. I opened the map in Tiled to see if I could edit it out, but there is no shipping bin or tileData elements for it, so I'm not sure why it is still there? I checked my smapi log but there doesn't seem to be anything of note in it, at least from what I can tell.
The map is probably outdated. Useable, but still has the buildings as permanent fixtures on it instead of being moveable

There is no permanent shipping bin on it, I've checked in Tiled because that's what I thought too. There's no tiledata or sprites for anything related to the shipping bin on any of the layers.

There might be a better way but this worked for me: go into Tiled, go to the Buildings layer and erase the bottom two sections of shipping bin, go to the front layer and do the same to the top two squares, fix the bottom grass in the Back layer.
There is no shipping bin on either of those layers in Tiled. It’s just empty grass, no shipping bin sprites or tile data.

Hi, has anyone heard of issues where mods in multiplayer are not persisting their data between play sessions?
I'm running into this issue with quests in RSV and fish quality in Immersive Fish Ponds. Things look like they work while we're playing (mostly, some other issues with fish ponds, but we are working around them). Quest progress for my farmhand will be saved and can be confirmed with the quest framework summary command, and fish ponds will preserve fish quality between days. But if we quit the game, or quit to title and reload the game on a day where things are confirmed working, things will be reset for my farmhand.
They will get the same quests offered to them again, and fish ponds built by my farmhand will have their qualities reset.
My quests and fish ponds that I built will preserve the data

I moved some of my files to another file (so i dont use mods that enhance the gameplay on co-op) and when i loaded my mods for my main farm my map was deleted and all of my stuff is there but its on the basic map (i utilize the Grandpa's Grove Farm)

Duplicate object: Cannabis just added by Cannabis Kit for JsonAssets, already added by [JA] SDVWT! this should be fixed by removing one of those mods. the DGA version of farmer to florist is broken too, it needs the Json Assets version (in old files on nexus)

Looks like you chose the standard farm
and i think the mod is pretty outdated, so might be better to get another one
I know the farm layouts Grandpas Farm and IFR2 use the standard
so you could try using that instead but there are some things you have to do

i guess we already know the problem though, for some reason the farm type in the save file was changed to the standard farm (the farm map mod doesn't have conditions for the patch, it just replaces the foraging map)
