Try seeing if the download page for it mentions how it works in multiplayer. Often it's mentioned there.

yeah i followed those steps ive been looking at tutorials but everytime its about to install i get this error message
hi! im having this problem where my smapi takes hours and hours and still doesn’t lauch the game. i was able to play yesterday because i disabled my firewall (which is still off) but everytime i restart my computer this happen, any tips? i tried reinstalling smapi/mods, net framework, verifying files on steam, but i still cant find a definitive solution
so i can play on a school pc

So what happens when you try to launch?
i'm on a mac to preface. my terminal screen comes up and runs the log and then i get my loading icon and then when i go to force quit it says stardew valley is unresponsive.

when my terminal log is done and then my loading icon loads. it won't open the game at all.
when the game stops responding, which is right after the log is ran.
How long are you letting the game load?
It takes about 5 minutes for my game to load sometimes
About 1-2 min at the pre-game screen stage
Further 1-2 min to load up the specific save
About 1 min to show the saves screen
i'm waiting for a few minutes. yesterday it didn't take long to open but i can't get the stardew app to open through steam at all.
The log you sent says that it was loading, and just cuts off partway through, from what I can see
im having a similar problem. my smapi gets suck on the loading process for more than 3 hours
Sometimes when I have too many things open I have to force-quit SDV to make it close, and then it complains about sockets, but that's always after it loaded up fully in the first place

Nexus has a rate limiter, it takes time
i removed the pytk (name?) mod because my game was running slow and somewhere i read to take that out and see if i can get it to load faster, along with the mods that require it, and i couldn't get it open so i added them back in with a couple new mods and i still can't get it to open.
if you open up the download viewer you should see it moving slowly

Hello, I havent played the game in a while, as in a few months, maybe a year, and decided to start up the game. I have Smapi installed, and seasonal outfits as my only mod. However, imediatly after the black type screen thing for smapi comes up, it goes away as usual but the game doesnt load. I tried restarting my computer but the issue remains

if you have smapi installed and SVE + the other mods (dependancies like SAAT) are also in their own folders then you just need to start smapi and it will load all the mods in \stardew valley\mods

you do not need to add them to the SVE folder
you just have to unzip and put the unzipped folders into the mods folder
just add them to the mods directory like that
if mods are within a subfolder, then just leave them in the subfolder

If anyone could help me out with some portrait mods that would be great. The issue I am having is the portrait just simply not appearing. I'm unsure if any of my other mods are interfering with portraiture. I have Ridgeside installed and the dcburger portrait mods are working completely fine. The problem is with the Pelican Townsfolk. For example only the vanilla version of Lewis is appearing. It does switch, just no portrait. Type that into the console, and hit return. then go to the patch export folder in your game folder, and there should be a json file there that's the exported version of your Data/Locations json

i went through my mods and placed them in by groups to see what wouldn’t open my game. has anyone had issues with spacecore? that seems to be the culprit.
That one is pretty central to a lot of mods, SpaceCore and PyTK like to have a little fight but I haven't really seen it cause issues alone
(SpaceCore and PyTK's little fight just slows things down, doesn't break things)

i am able to open my game with all the other mods in my folder, including the ones that require SpaceCore, except for when i add SpaceCore.
If the ones that require SpaceCore are in there, they are going to just refuse to load without it, cutting down on loading times

I do have two saves that I'm playing on right now and I played one and then immediately went to another for recording.
My computer is either still upset about the unzipping or just generally sad about the log being big, I can't tell

It really sounds like your game is just being incredibly slow to load up whenever you have any of the big expansions working properly. You can try again adding things in and seeing what loads, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Hello! For once I am not coming in here for a weird mod glitch and instead to have help configuring a mod as English is my second language and am easily confused. XD
I am using TimeSpeed and want to see about setting the in-game time to basically have each in-game hour last a full minute IRL. AS I understand it, Vanilla has time change, for example between 8:00 to 8:10, every seven seconds. But I want this to be a full 10 seconds. Is there any way to do this with this mod?

SMAPI installation problems. I've uninstalled SDV and deleted folders. Reinstalled it. Run Game. Downloaded & Extracted SMAPI. Disabled Anti-Virus, and then when running "install on Windows" error is given: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'C:\Users\rletc\Desktop\New folder\SMAPI 3.13.4 installer\internal\windows\SMAPI.Installer.dll'. Format of the executable (.exe) or library (.dll) is invalid.

You could use Tractor mod and enable spawning it without needing the garage in the config, or you could use Reset Terrian Features if you don't care about not getting the drops

Is there a guide somewhere for getting vortex to work with stardew valley? I want to try collections but I can't seem to figure out how to get mods I already have to show up in vortex
we generally recommend to not use vortex at all for stardew. it often breaks mods by eating manifest files and causes other issues
stardew mod management can easily be done manually as its just dropping the folder into the mods directory.
for collections you have to download them manually from the collections page

well, Seasonal Garden Farmhouse V2 definitely isn't compatible with Free Love. I kinda figured that might be the case but unfortunately it is not built to handle adding more than one spouse room

If it's steam you can verify the integrity that fixes a lot of issues. No cache that I know of though... What brought you to wanting to clear the cache?
it just seems odd that you can't clear it. as far as Steam goes, I never use it. never even open it. always just go through the folder
I don't believe there is any temporary files to clear
It is sort of all built into the save
Look in USER\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves and open up your save it has some weird way of holding info in there just stacking new bricks on top of the old ones. warning, do not delete the save in there, that cant be undone 100% safely. Always back those files up every few weeks of real time if you play regularly. That's my recommendation at least.
I'm still not really sure what you are hoping to gain from clearing a cache even if it did exist. Are you having an issue with a mod?
yeah a lot of issues lol but I was here last night troubleshooting a massive log lol. I'm just redownloading all mods this morning.
one thing is about the cache bit, I have old saves that I delete and then they sometimes pop back up which is odd to me as well as confusing
(deleting the save from in game)

that mod rearanges how saves function. once you save with spacecore installed you're doomed to forever use spacecore

Couldn't the problem be that you sort of cheated there so stuff is not gonna work correctly if you cheat stuff? I'm confused what the issue is...
if your pc is that weak that steam cant be on in the background, i wonder if you can even run anything but super lightweight mods

I would take your save files, remove them from the folder, nuke the folder, make a new folder, then put the saves back
I come from Sims 4 modding and it's always a recommendation to clear your cache in between mod changes. that's why
then take your whole stardewvalley folder where the exe is
nuke that too
then redownload it
redownload stardew?
just nuke everthing
keep your saves, but remove the folders for everthing
and restart your computer in between nuking and re-installing
for good measure

If you aren't going to use steams built in save backup stuff I would suggest writting a bat file that you can use to backup stuff yourself

You can always check with Qi to see your progress in perfection and do some quick math. For the percent and how many recipes remain. The wiki has a list for perfection but it doesn’t have any modded stuff on there.

Make sure to try the versions people have said supposedly works with mobile on the google version of the game. 1.6.0 and 1.8.0 I've seen referenced. If those don't work, you will need to try and contact aedenthorn. Not sure if you ever gave them a good summary of the problem or not.
Is the automate mod working for any of you guys? I have the auto grabber in my animal sheds and the cheese maker and loom are right next to the autograbber but the items arent being put into the machines
(Personally, I feel that Multiple Spouses isn't really compatible with mobile and some people have just barely managed to get it to work.)

For reasons, I re-downloaded everything. I'm putting everything back now. Do the zipped SMAPI save backups go in the mods folder save backup or is there some other folder that should be there (maybe it gets created on first run of the game?)
note: I redownloaded the game as well

It seems to be some weirdness between VPR and MSVE, but I see that you're actually using Earthy Recolor. I would make sure that if there is a recolor toggle in MSVE that you have it set to Earthy first.

I know there are a few mods not updated, but it's either because the CP Version has a lower Number in it's name or smapi don't recognize it

I wonder if you remove MSVE if the problem will still happen. It might be worth it to see if the mod has been updated since SVE's update and prerequisite change.

what I backed up are zipped backups that have SMAPI in their title. are these ones that go in the sdv/save or do they go in mods/save backups? I'm such a dummy
Starting position, SVE Bridge and then Main town. Seems an area is missing. Could SVE be messing it up somehow

If they're smapi backups, I think you just extract them and move the folders to your save 
so she has sve?
