Question: Say my friend's and i are playing a game and are in year three, we're using a modded farm map but have come to realize it's too small, we want to change farm maps. is this possible? if so i'm assuming im going to have to change the save file and completely clear out our farm which i dont mind. thank you~

Yeah, it's possible. I'd recommend including NoClip and ResetTerrianFeatures so you can easily clear out debris and crops, and get to anything that might've gotten placed in the void or in an unreachable area

SVE folder has multiple folders.To install the mod do i move the contained folders of sve in mods folder or just the sve folder in the mods folder ?
looks like you never took farm type manager out of its numbers folder
SMAPI's fine with subfolders
It's easier to keep everything nested into one SVE folder, like how it already comes
As long as the names aren't stupidly long and nested into a ton of other folders, you can easily go 3-4 subfolders deep

all i did was unzip my mods and put them in the other mod folder thing
You weren't taking them out of their nexus numbers folders so when one mod, Farm Extended which possibly doesnt work anyway, bundled a dependency, it resulted in it being there twice
i didnt touch the files after in unzipped them
You've been turning the zips into folderes instead of taking the contents out of the zips
i extract them
And Farm Extended has Farm Type Manager included, but i think it's an old version
Here's an example of cleanly extracted folders - no trailing numbers

When you extract things, select "extract here" instead of "extract to -folder-"

Makes it one less step you need to do, which would otherwise be opening the numbered folder and dragging out the mod
and, also, you need to delete Farm Extended. it contains FTM (which is where you're getting your second copy from) and i think it's not compatible with SVE
so do i need to fix this

So, a finalizer is a way for me to attach code to game code
in a way where I can sort of "handle" the error in a way that doesn't cause a crash

no 💀 i’m on summer 2 year 1 and i’m not even worried about the fish. like they’re still there after i reset smapi and i’m losing my mind laughing because there’s just floating fish in my house
how would I do that?. im a relatively newplayer so i dont know the technical aspects of the game. I know it happened when i tried to move my shopping bin and greenhouse using robins move feature

Ok I'll give it a go. But what do I do once I add it to my mods? Will it prevent the broken schedule from crashing the game or tell me what is causing it to begin with?
so, if I did this correctly, it should prevent the crash, and it should tell you who is the problem
assuming I did this correctly - I tested a bit locally, but I don't know what's causing your crash
It might have something to do with a possible event maybe, after a test I ran. But not 100% sure.
I did a test by running the game doing the usual, tending my farm, gifting people, etc. Afterwards I would rest and the game would freeze.
Then I did another test where I did nothing but stand in my house until around 10pm then go to bed and it advanced to the next day just fine.
Not that day
I'm thinking one of the people I gifted might've upped there heart count which may have triggered a event or something the following day which is bugging things.

you could try, I guess, a process of elimination. Gift a few NPCs
and see who breaks
I gifted several people so can't really list them all.
That would take forever considering how long it takes for my game to load back up (about 5-6 minutes)

What I should do is pay attention to each npc I gift and see who's heart count actually goes up...might make things a little easier

I don't have nor ever had Error HAndler, nor did I ever remove it. Didn't see it as a addon when I installed SMAPI.
Reinstalling.smapi will put error handler back
Back many SMAPI versions ago, Error Handler was just part of SMAPI-internal. Now it's one of the 3 things SMAPI puts in your mods folder.
You should have it if you have SMAPI 3.13
Then it should be there because I never deleted anything other than whatever mods are in my mods folder.

well, you can do this with DGA furniture, but it doesn't play very nice with several vanilla things
notably I keep getting trees growing through them
also might crash FTM but Esca said maybe not/maybe fixed
would putting down a path, and then a carpet on top work for trees?
unclear who would end up on top there, maybe?
you'd need to make your own furniture pack or edit the vanilla furniture properties (i kind of forget)

seems like it is trying to call something from C:\Users\Ellen but there's no Ellen user on my PC
it's not a path on your computer, it's just a path that gets baked in to the dll on the mod maker's pc, and regarding the error try updating your mods, and if that doesn't fix it either avoid doing that or consider filling a bug report probably on npc adventures

The galaxy swords that are showing up when you search are for the new ones added by SVE, which don't change the originals look. You'll be looking for changes to the weapons png in content

If it's due to a ja shuffle, you would have to trash the affected galaxy sword (you can spawn a new one with CJB Items) to fix it. @rustic idol
yeah, seems like the case since the cjb one looks fine -- i can't remember how to upgrade a sword though since mine has higher stats than the cjb one
If the removal of a JA big craftable causes a shuffle, it should only affect existing items (maybe craftables too), right?

if you didn't have custom quests or items from the mod it's probably not a problem

For next time, please update your mods and then complain if it doesn't work. Mobile phone and NPC Adventures versions you are using are outdated. I close your bug report for it was reported from outdated version, sorry.

If they not, then I do nothing for this bugreport and ignore it. Also it is agains SDV license and against my mod licence, because my mod requires in the rules original version of Stardew Valley, because I do not support warez in my mods 🙂
trying to get this mod list for a new twitch multiplayer playthrough going is a pain in the ass....... weeding out the mods that are breaking the game from loading is a chore
all the plentitude of mods ive loaded seem to all work fine, but adding SVE into the mix breaks it, and since the one thing the host wanted was SVE its kinda hard to cut it out
what is it about SVE that always causes me problems?
It's massive, so, despite their efforts to minimize any lag caused by it, it's going to cause a lot more lag than other mods

lag is one thing i know about, when i first tried it crimson shitwaste was unplayable for me, it lagged S O B A D
but this isn't even loading. i take a few minutes to get to the titlescreen, hit load or start a new, and it locks up. waited for 30 minutes and it was still stuck.
What's happening in the logs? I was having locking up issues loading in to a multiplayer farm after the host married one of the NPCs

loading the game should never take that long, unless you are running a metric ton of mods with that pytK+Spacecore interaction that makes loadingtimes really long
but even then, 30 minutes is more than even that should take

does the renovation exist with grandpa's farm? the mod is patching the event in correctly it seems, but it might not be different from the vanilla one except for pathing i guess

i mean that the different cutscene might be exclusive to IF2R and not exist for grandpa's farm

Unfortunately, both of them occasionally have issues with Stardew Valley mods, including but not limited to deleting files, mangling configs, and causing opaque errors. You can still use them, but if you run into issues and ask for help troubleshooting, the first piece of advice you’ll get is to stop using the mod manager, because it may obscure the real issue or be the cause of your issue.

again not sure if its mod conflicts or not but, marketpalooza is kinda off. seemingly secret woods area is cut off in the south half, i assume there is supposed to be a treeline there but its just a hard edge you can walk off of. robin and demetrius are standing in the wrong location and all the shops stands are behind the models rather than in front.

ancient history - which is a museum expansion I believe. but I've been using it and only now got this error o.O

fin is short for "fuzzy item named", and debug fin <item name> will try to spawn in whatever object matches that name into your inventory

If the steps aren't working, you may have to just reset everything and try again

so if you just install the mods, start the game, change the config, then pack and upload to share, you will both have the same config.

config file shouldn't contain any info unique to your PC, so if you download a mod, change the config, then send it to your Drive, your friend should get exactly the same files you have
but if you change it on your PC it won't automatically change it on your Drive unless you specifically set it up to, which I'm not sure how to do

It's not just a PyTK thing, it's just that atm PyTK is the most common cause
pyTK and TXML are not dependancies for the current version of SVE

It said my disc ran out of space and wouldn't save, I deleted some old files to make room, exited, reloaded, and now whenever I try to load my save it boots me to the main menu
AAInfoboardLoader, AKaiFreeBuild and the "assets" folder dont have manifests. so you might need to redownload those unless you tampered with those folders manually

if loading your save boots you to the main menu then that means that this save has content associated with a mod that isnt part of your game
you can try using a backup save, there are few ways you can try, both explained on the saves wiki page

you might have deleted a dependancy of your save. if you still know your old modlist, then get the other mods, delete the files that are part of the mods you want to remove, save and then remove them again
i guess then you only have the other way that is the once per irl-day backups that the save backup mod makes

They are using SVE among many other mods, so it's not out the realm of possibility that they had Grandpa's Farm downloaded at some point and then deleted it. Grandpa's House Warps should have something like warp.json just let it overwrite the warp.json in cjb cheats
You just need to redownload cjb if you stop using SVE
