the TMXL part of SVE shouldn't even exist anymore. might be that you didn't delete the old SVE installation before installing a new one between the versions that changed it
might be good to delete it now and reinstall to ensure that there aren't any files left that shouldn't be there

You can try using SpriteMaster with resampling disabled; it does some stuff to try to reduce hitches.

how exactly do you turn off resampling? I've set false to all the resample options and the game still has the high res textures but just some of them glitched out

and there is indeed a sporadic hitch that isn't related to GC
which I haven't figured out what it is yet

reverting to a 2021 graphics driver has seem to have mitigated the stuttering ALOT, but it seems to still be there slightly, every now and then the movement gets a bit janky, not sure if that might be caused by the glitching going on here
I am still getting fps drops to 59, but it's not very noticeable for stuttering but is still there, just alot less.
at times the movement is a little bit janky despite being at a solid 60 fps, not sure if that has to do with smapi

so removing sprite master makes the performance signifigantly worse

The ticks are definitely back, albeit 59-60 fps with not really any stutter, but can cause a screen tear and make my movement jank
after playing for a few minutes it..looks like it stabilizes itself though
@lavish marlin so with reverting the graphics driver to an older version, and using your mod (when turning off sampling actually works whenever you fix that) could be the current solution to this at the moment

alright so I tried mroe drivers
Tried a driver more towards the end of 2021, and after a very small hiccup going outside, with no stutter it looked like, but a small fps drop, then it seemed to stay at 60 for the rest of the time I was running around. which is the best performance I've had with smapi all day.
didn't seem to have any jankiness with movement either
alright went into the control panel, set some options, pre rendered frames, forced threaded optimization, has mitigated it even more, no fps drops but a tiny bit of jankiness moving outside, but after that semes to be actually smooth now
oof i got another stutter but that might of been me alt tabbing

I do use a lot of mods and sometimes weird things happen. Not lag just some weirdness like sometimes my player appears to jump slightly or I get a ripple effect on the map - also just for a second and somewhat infrequently

the expansions are pretty bad with loading times
I can load up 190 mods pretty fast, granted I have no expansions
Stardew valley expansion, zuzu valley, all those expansions make loading time die
spacecore+pytk is still the problem combination that makes loading times longer than they used to be as far as i know. there might be improvements coming to that, plus some other unrelated improvements

I'd always recommend the Tractor Mod over every Scythe Mod. It does the same, plus more, is easily configureable plus even with a Scythe Mod you still have to click which gets annoying pretty fast if you have to harvest 500+ Crops at once.
I was going to say tractor mod but I don't know if it would integrate into their current save nicely, so I didn't recommend it cus big mods be dangerous
or you have junimos that do the work for you ^°_°
most mods integrate without any issue. its just things that change community center, farm maps if you dont do map resets and some fringe stuff

scythe mods dont actually change the scythe. all they do is add harvestable by scythe to the code whenever you plant a seed

so even if you remove the scythe mod, you still will be able to harvest crops that you planted while the mod was active with the scythe

If you're unsure about breaking your game you can always have mod groups.

Updates in general usually break mods, your save should be fine if you let the game update it, but you may have to wait until the mods update before using the save again
Plus the SV Modding Scene is pretty save and helpful. I also used to play TBOI with Mods and I have no idea what to do if a mod would break my game.

for real tho, its gonna be a while till 1.6, the presumably last update come out. most mods will just work day 1 or a few days after since you can already get access and test how it performs with the changes.
content patcher is probably gonna be updated the day the update comes out, and all CP mods should just work imidiatly then.

If you just use a resolution that's something like 96x96k, you won't even notice the resampling!

nah im joking Im still getting stuttering, but It's like I said a-lot more minor than it was. but still noticeable, the stuttering turned into micro stuttering like earlier
TransientGCTickCount should be around like 50-150
otherwise you're going to get stutters when the gen1 heap fills up.
yeah I changed it to all kinds of numbers but it didn't seem to change anything. so I guess the gc tick isn't the issue

if you give it a really big number, I'm not actually sure what value it would load in. Probably the default.

too low and you're just triggering a ton of GCs for no reason
but nothing changed the 58,59-60 stutters

one is fairly regular, and is when the gen1 heap fills up

It's possible. I don't know which is the right version for android though.
If you wanted to test that, you could use cjb cheats to finish the greenhouse on a test save.
See if it still comes up on a farm that isn't the immersive one.

the first errors look like save corruption rather than a mod conflict. the IF2R greenhouse can be disabled in its config, that should solve the conflict

they are still zipped
you need a program to unzip. 7zip is the one people generally recommend
most files you download online trough your browser are generally compressed / packed as .rar or .zip, not just mods
you should have a programm to upack anyway

if you have stardewmoddingAPI.exe (that filepath on the wiki + %command%) in your steam command line, then you can start it trough steam. if the smapi console comes up then that works

If you don't add in any horse skins, it won't affect the horse

I downloaded the Ghost Town mod a while ago then I deleted it, but pieces/features from that mod are still showing on my saves, I can grab a log if needed but I'm unsure why this is happening even though I deleted the mod folder from my files

there's a tmxl mod called ghosttown maps 0.6.0 in your loaded mods, I wonder what that is and where it'd be hiding
Yeah I’m unsure myself, unfortunately I can’t remove TMXL as I have mods that require it, I did find this file called Ghost Town-2992-1-0-4-1557486028.(1).zip but I can’t Extract or Remove it
GhostTown Maps (from Mods\[TMX]GhostTown) so it's in that folder (walk to desert redux also has a ghosttown, but i don't think it uses tmxl?)
the description is "GhostTown Maps 0.6.0 by Platonymous | for TMXL Map Toolkit | Part of GhostTown Mod" so that's most likely the culprit
but that zip isn't what smapi is loading, it should be in your mods folder

check if [TMX]GhostTown folder exists? it should be there according to the log

Because the folders name suggest you're doing it in a weird way

For the future, extracting here is far better than extracting to folder, because extracting to folder generates an extra folder that the actual mod is nested within, a folder who has an extremely stupidly long name, which can cause issues with Smapi not being able to even read the mods

SMAPI should be looking for the game exe in the directory its in, so if you copy both the game and SMAPI, it should work. STEAM looks at the launch options

smapi cleans up old smapi
It removes it's old stuff by itself, however if you want to be sure, just download the new version, when it asks if you want to install or uninstall, uninstall it, then run it again and install it

So I’m playing my first ever modded save and I’ve got SVE. I just finished the community center and unlocked some extra stuff. Would it be worth it to add Ridgeside Village as well at this point or would that be better on its own in a separate save? I’m just so excited to play with expansions but how much is too much? 🤣
SVE works with ridgeside, but its not recommended to add ridgeside on an existing save
Adding in Ridgeside, or any mod that adds in JA items, has potential for a Json Shuffle, so it's best to wait for a new save
Unless you don't mind dealing with the shuffle, it's pretty easy to fix, just take screens of what items and crops you have beforehand, and then simply add them back in and delete the weirdness it causes

ok so there is Jasper and another mod Ancient History, both mess with Gunther's territory, and then there are some make Gunther Real mods and ofcourse SVE
NOW is it possible to get all of the above to work together harmoniously?
SVE also makes Gunther real, so, not sure if it would ever play nice. I think I had the ME and SVE on before though, and Jasper, and I don't believe it caused any issues

I'm using SVE and a few retexturing mods and for some reason no matter if I start a new save or use a previous save that has worked for months with these mods. Since the new update of Stardew my game crashes. Whether it be petting my animal or entering a building (open or not) and I just cant figure out why. I've fully uninstalled stardew valley, redownloaded all the mods and the same thing. Can anyone help?
Not really putting them in cause it just keeps copying the item put in the beginning until you take it out, but you can collect it with automate

okay fixed that, I did still get a frame drop and a micro stutter, but it went away after 1 stutter so far
as it turns out, I think it may have been not having exactly NET 5.0, I got one micro stutter going outside, but after that it goes away.
It doesn't completely fix it though, as I still do get a frame drop to 59 here and there. But It no longer stutters at-least.

Since my understanding is that the game bundles its own copy of .NET 5.0 and should be using that copy, I wonder if this something to do with how when SMAPI didn't bundle .NET (a period of one week in December), there was all kinds of crazy path variables problems with the installer not being able to find .NET 5.0 despite it being installed, for some users
I wonder if the computer is somehow looking "in the wrong place" for people who have multiple copies of .NET 5.0 installed, and if this is slowing things down?
it should only be looking at the bundled version of net
None of this backed by any real computer knowledge
But it really is weird if you install .NET 5.0 and somehow this fixes the stuttering

hey everyone. it's my first time trying to mod SDV today. i'm trying out the stardew valley expanded mod. i installed SMAPI and all of the required files, i started a new farm, and so far i'm noticing the framerate can frequently get pretty choppy. i have a decent rig so i don't think it's hardware related. has anyone run into this before and have any advice to mitigate it?

You copy the config json somewhere else, delete the old mod, install the new one, put the config.json back
If you didn’t make any changes to config.json you can just delete the old one though
If you realize you want to change the config in-game, you can use Generic Mod Config Menu

alright so same result, the stutter is gone, but there is still a 59 fps drop. but as long as the stutter is gone then I'm fine with that. Im going to install the latest NET and launch smapi

I updated my graphics driver back to latest and it definitely seems to have an impact. I just got 2 micro stutters that were noticeable
gonna test it a bit more

The only difference that im noticing is that AUTO GC changing the ram to a different number every time
I've restarted the game about 3 times, and it seems the stutter is gone now 
but I dont know why, all test new games
Im gonna remove autoGC and see if there any difference
micro stuttering again when i run outside, but then smooth after that. same pattern pretty much
at-least its only one stutter, then a solid 60 fps after that

it use to be just stuttering every 10 or so seconds
it was very random though. and now its just smooth, I have no idea what fixed it

but the FPS issue is still there because Id imagine it's not supposed to be dropping at all

hm well I tested it and it seemed to be a solid 60 fps with no stuttering, but SDVE caused really bad jankey movement, was not smooth despite being at 60 fps
but I have 190 mods on top of that so
Im interested in seeing if the performance stays after removing SDVE though
Not sure weather I was supposed to do anything or not, but that other mod didn't seem to do anything. After going to sleep, my game still froze as usual with SMAPI spamming that error.

so after removing SDVE, loading time is still longer
before it was pretty much instant with all my mods, putting in SDVE increased the loading time, taking it out, it's no longer instant with the same mods
and the movement is slightly more janky..

ok so im dealing with 2 mods that don't seem to work together and i was wondering if anyone could help me get them working together. it's hot springs farm cave and npc adventures. the npc's can't go into the waterfall room. they go in FarmCave just fine but they don't go down the ladder, its like they cant see it is there. but the room down there appears to have no location ID, it shows up on logs as all FarmCave.
