also don't delete your duplicate saves

get glam will make them appear twice on the save load screen, but there's only one of them
and deleting the "extra" will delete your save

The game saves every night, if your save data got corrupted for whatever reason there's an option to rollback saves https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves#Undo_the_last_save
Depending on your computers power supply, your PC should be safe, and if something did happen to happen it's an easy fix :) Stardew will be safe, it always has past saves in-case corruption happens

Probably the author forgot to update the version number in the mod's manifest but did remember to update the version number on the site

Unrelated issue, I think I have mods that aren't loading, but SMAPI isn't telling me about any issues. Is unzipping the mod folder enough, or do I need to do more?

Yeah, it does! I just disabled the Config Menu now, and it seems there's only the stable that isn't affected/changed by the mod, everything else is perfectly fine, so uh yeah, weird

next version of sve (coming out any day now!) will no longer use pytk, so you should be good after that

Some of my furniture is invisible. Not sure why, I've done everything that I can think of to fix it.
it's likely that you're using a mod made for a previous verison of the game then. I think the latest update added more furniture.

I'm playing in winter year 1 and i noticed that suddenly the snow disappeared from the roofs of the town buildings, but there is snow on my farmhouse and the houses belonging to SVE NPCs... the only building mod i have is Elle's Seasonal Buildings which i dont think changes anything outside of my farm? so im a little confused as to whats going on and what config setting i should check? if anyone has any advice that would be great 🙂

Did you extract the folder into your Stardew Valley folder or Mods? Sometimes that can keep smapi from working.
It's best to try to install from somewhere like your Desktop or Downloads folders.
I tried just extracting into downloads or desktop then running the .bat file from there but I kept getting the same error message

Hi, I'm worried I messed up my Ridgeside Village mod by using Reset Terrain Features. I just unlocked a new area that in the previous edition of Ridgeside looked different, so I used reset terrain to get debris out of a lake, then, when I went further into the area these specific pedestals weren't where I saw them previously in a cutscene. Is it possible that by resetting the terrain I may have erased a custom feature that I can't get back? Or am I just not understanding the lore around these pedestals lmao.

I have a question about the Moon Misadventure mod, but I'll put it under spoilers because it deals with one of the new resources it offers. ||I've gathered a few pieces of Mythicite ore, but I haven't been able to forge them into bars. Can anyone tell me if it's impossible to use the standard furnace for this? I understand the mod is still very new so it's totally cool if that's still under development-I just want to know if it's my error, or not. Really enjoying the new content with it!||

Hii, I'm completely new to mods and I don't really understand them well. I was wondering how to prioritise a dialogue mod (Immersive Festival Dialogue) over another mod (SVE). I read that you have to add an dependency to the manifest. How do I do that?
in this case you'd want to add the unique id of the SVE content patcher part (probably) to the manifest.json file of the Immersive Festival Dialogue. if it doesn't already have dependencies, then you can just add a dependency block like this https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Modder_Guide/APIs/Manifest#Dependencies
if it does, then it's added like this "Dependencies": [ { "UniqueID": "SMAPI.ConsoleCommands", "IsRequired": false }, { "UniqueID": "another id", "IsRequired": false } ]
Does sve change shane'sm (spouse) room? Cause I didn't install any mod to change it other than the one I just made lmao

Pretty new player& never played with mods before - just wondering about data-related mods and possibly how to find specific mods in general. I'm specifically looking for a few types of mod:
- One that tracks what gifts in the global pool haven't been given to each villager. REALLY want this mod
- One that tracks progress on achievements
- One that tracks progress for tailoring all clothes, acquiring all hats, anything like that that's not tracked and displayed natively

you could maybe use LookUpEverything and check on each item or villager what items they've been given. each item should list all possible loved/liked/neutral/disliked/hated matching villagers. it has a progression mode too in which those matches that havent been tried yet are hidden. thats the closest thing i can think of for your first question. it has some stuff for achievements aswell

I think that waterfall patch was for the earthy recolour, I haven't seen one for elle's recolours
I've noticed if a recolour isn't specifically made for sve it tends to have issues

i love how almost every time i think i wish there was a mod for that, i can look up keywords on nexus/smapi and find that there is indeed a mod for that 
Also, for your original problem, the usual issue with SVE installations is that the most recent update to PyTK and TMXL is not on nexus, but rather on a different site

The unofficial version is the newest version, and we don't know when Plato will come back.
Plato is usually most active around the middle of the year

TMXL Map Toolkit is just TMXL
it used to be called TMX Loader because SMAPI didn't use to be able to handle loading TMX files by default!

DGA's relatively new and doesn't have that much yet, but if you click the Requirements dropdown on DGA's nexus page, it has two sections: mods that DGA requires, and mods that require DGA.

Sometimes the mods in question list both requirements and requirees. Did you go to DGA page on nexus? Maybe it has a list of those mods under requirements tab.

You might have to rename the Elle's Animals skins if you already have adopt n skin skins for those animals

Having issues installing Stardew Valley Expanded with Immersive Farm 2. Both are needed. Was trying to make it work for hours.
but what you could do, if you dont care about achievements, is add your StardewModdingAPI.exe as a new steamgame (rename it to stardew modded in your library for example) and start that for modded games, and regular stardew without the launch options
or vice versa

There's a lot of quality of life mods that could make a new playthrough enjoyable, making things animated that weren't before is a fun one. And you can always try doing some of your own modding to make stuff JUST EXACTLY how you want it! 🙂

I just wanted to use aquarium
Unfortunately until recently TMXL was the only way to load a map
So any mod that loads a map has a chance of being incompatible
so these mods basically have a shelf-life before they eventually just become incompatible

So with smapi backups, they're once per real life day.
So if you play half a month in a day and that save gets borked, the last one you have will be half a month ago.
I'm not sure if that's what happened to you, but it's a misconception I had for a long time.

use advanced save backups if you want one per in game day

I highly recommend Advanced Save Backup. You have to set up the folders yourself, but it's much easier to go back a day instead of a month.
It's just that I redesigned my entire farm in this time period, passed out every night from exhaustion placing paths and stuff it was so much work

It's also a good place to start because a lot of errors can be fixed by doing updates and the parsed log will let you know if that's the case.

I mean, that is a compressed file. You just need 7zip or winrar to unpack it

is there somewhere in my file explorer where i can see save files and delete them manually from my files rather than in game?

(also smapi comes with "save backup", which stores zips of your save in the same folders as your mods folder)

So where you downloaded it, you need to double click the file to run the installer.
