so if after updating smapi and it creates a duplicate version of my save file that it loads as a second game, should you never delete that second game file? cause I did, then my game crashed after taking a long time to load, and now I have no save file. i have deleted those random duplicate saves before with no issue but ive been having problems trying to get stardew to launch ever since the last game update.

I've updated everything but the NPC Emet Selch mod I can't get to work. When Emet takes off his hood he turns back into Rasmodius and looks like a skin peel in game taking the other layer off

the chicken looks exactly the same to me tbf, the ducks and dinosaur are from elle. the only reason it looks paler is because of the natural color reshade, didnt pay much attention to the head

I play with Natural colour reshade and have tried most animal retexture mods, and I don't recall a chicken ever getting to that pale of a colour

no, otherwise the sprites will be completely different than the portrait youre seeing. if you wanna use an orangepie portrait you have to disable it in diverse stardew valley

When I launch sdv from the modapi, the command prompt pops up then disappears and does nothing. I've installed .NET framework 5.0, the desktop runtime one. I've also installed the new SMAPI thing. hi! i recently got a new computer and none of my mods transferred so i just spent a couple hours redownloading and installing everything. i ran my game, but barely any of the mods show up because the game doesn't recognize that i've downloaded dependencies for other mods. for example, it cant find the json assets even though i have it installed which is preventing a lot of mods from working. i was wondering if anyone was good with this stuff and could give me a hand in trying to figure out whats wrong?

can anyone help me pls i want pretty bookshelves on my farm, i use industrial furniture set and yellog's and i dont want yellog to be overwritten by the industrial farm set mod. I tried inserting yellog's unique id into industrial furniture set's dependencies list but yellog's still get overwritten. Is there any alternative or am i doing it wrong?

Hey I have a question, I see people say they run Stardew with a whole lot of mods, and it makes me wonder if you guys don't have any stutter/frame drop problems? I run 86 mods currently, keep deleting some, cause I have stutter problems and I've already tried everything I could find online (including deleting Content Patcher Animation) but the stutter still remains and is sometimes even getting worse from time to time

(Windows only) When I launch the game, the console appears temporarily and then exits?

That means it crashed before SMAPI launched. To see the actual error:

  1. Open your game folder: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Game_folder.
  2. Hold Shift and right-click the folder background.
  3. Click the option that says Open in Command Prompt / PowerShell / Windows Terminal (depending on your system settings).
  4. Type this command: .\StardewModdingAPI.exe.
  5. Press enter to run the command.

I updated the mods that he says have an update, however that just makes the stutter worse hence why I haven't updated those. Running the game without SMAPI removes the stutter, but it makes me wonder if everyone that runs mod, and with that SMAPI, have the stutter problem
