hii! so i havent played stardew in a while and my old mods arent working anymore (assuming they are just outdated.) do i have to update smapi?
I am trying to download Official - industrialization for PFM but Smapi gives me the error "because it doesn't have a manifest.json" but the mod do have a manifest. Anyone know how to fix this?
You can try running the game, get a log and update that way :))

remove the mod + reinstall it. mod managers sometimes seem to eat manifests too, not sure if there's a solution to that other than not using one

i don't see any "go" i am just confused, but im trying to click on my stardew files to see if any "go" pops up lol

If you copy/paste it is likely to not format correctly

The folder with the mod that i am trying to get working is industrialisation with an s the other one with a z is an empty one that i can't delete for some reason

yeah, seems like few modded characters including Aspen don't exist in the game currently. you do have the Aspen mod though so not sure why. Sterling is also missing

(having the ErrorHandler mod from smapi would probably prevent it from crashing but it really wouldn't solve the issue)
maybe try removing + reinstalling Aspen at least. i don't know from what mod Sterling comes from

Relatively powerful computer, probably a lot of mods that aren't too heavy in memory usage

You don't need that powerful a computer, but it helps to have something decent
Like, there's a mod that removes the yellow from an unready corn plant
a mod that makes the watered ground just a tad more obvious

Finally a active place can someone help I’m trying to figure out how to use config.json but like idk what to do. I have the multiple spouses mod and like I’m so confused. Idk what I’m doing or how to even access it
you go into your game files
and you click
the config.json
and then edit the values
You need run the game once with the mod installed for the config.json to be generated first
Also check the mod description for what the values do

a lot of mods also work with Generic Mod Config Menu
which makes it a little easier, imo
(or, at least GMCM shows the "Description" field on CP mods)
I had the same issue with Aspen as Tooler. Had to start over and definitely won't be using her again.

Yea but when I look in the menu it doesn’t pop up and it also said something about needing to set it to true or false
Had her installed for a few days, decided to remove her and Uninstall all her mods. Loaded up the save again expecting Smapi to clear up the Custom NPC like it always does and I couldn't even get into the game because it would crash with Smapi claiming I still had Files of Aspen which I didn't. Very annoying.

I don't remember if I had removed ErrorHandler while cleaning up mods. So it could be that it crashed because ErrorHandler wasn't installed?

Does anyone know of a mod that would let me lower the gift multiplier for birthdays? I like giving characters loved gifts on their birthday, but I'm not a fan of getting so many hearts for it.
Can use CJB Cheat Menu to lower the hearts? Don't know any mod that does what you want

And I would strongly recommend adding a few mods, checking to see if things load, and then adding more

the only problem i have with dc burger is that the expanded ones art looks really ofputting

It takes the adventure guild in a different direction from my HC and further from vanilla imo.
Aideens 10 heart is pretty much completely platonic and I should enable an off switch so you can turn off Courtship.

Does anyone really know the ins and outs of Farm Type Manager? I'm curious to know if you can turn off the ore spawning for the Hilltop farm map.
is there any buff for the four corner farm because imo it kinda sucks
if you put down flooring ore spawning won't happen, but I don't think there's a way to remove spawns with FTM

you're running a lot of mods. depending in your CPU, a wait time like that could be normal
...so that's normal? Before updated to beta, it usually takes 5 minutes to launch the game. Now with the same number of mods, it is 20+ minutes and I still can't play the game. OMG 😭
there is a very long pause here 11:07:11 TRACE Content Patcher Accessed mod-provided API for Generic Mod Config Menu. 11:16:16 TRACE Content Patcher Requested cache invalidation for all assets matching a predicate. if i remember correctly the beta version of pytk causes those kind of pauses
how to fix this then? iirc pytk is needed in several mods?

My SMAPI client pauses right before loading content packs, I timed it and the it takes 3minutes 15 seconds, not to start my client, just the pause in the console between loading the last Json Asset pack (in this case the surfing festival) and the [Json Assets] Loading content packs... message.
it's really annoying because it really extends how long my modded client loads. Funnily enough using the same Stardew Folder (for modded multiplayer) me and one of my friends has this problem, but the other doesn't using identical folders.

actually not really. i tested it with SVE, RSV, Lunna and ES and the game loaded in less than a minute. but it creeps up as you add mods on top of them
and there are probably interactions between mods that increase the loading time (same happens with rimworld when you have a lot of mods that patch stuff)
i thought i remembered someone with a relatively low-spec PC trying out and timing a bunch of mods

the NPCs showing up aren't really related to the map i think, it's more that you need npc map locations and probably the correct submod for it to show the RSV npcs (not sure if RSV includes it in the main mod)
but the map itself for that recolor that includes the RSV areas might exist, but if so i don't know where
I have [CP] Yagisan - Custom NPCs for NPC Map Locations but perhaps that one doesn't include RSV. The RSV NPCs all show up when I'm in ridgeside, but not when in pelican town

It would have been too much of a hassle to make maps for all Recolours and for SVE as well as farmland inclusion
Plus the 'My Recoloured Map doesn't work with RSV' bug reports get quite annoying after a while

there is no (widely accepted) mod manager for SDV. it's just extracting the contents of mod archives into the "Mods" folder in your game install and running the game through "StardewModdingAPI.exe". if a mod is outdated, the SMAPI console will just show you a pink message with a link to where the update can be downloaded

you can remove CPA, or east scarp or deepwoods, but otherwise there isn't anything you can do

Try restarting your computer, sometimes installing .net stuff requires a restart to full take effect

Have you checked the mod description and comments to see if anyone's figured out a fix? Unfortunately I think that's a C# code mod, which means the mod author would need to get involved
I kinda figured that when it was talking about nullexceptions and code stuff. If it was just a file missing or something, I figured a reinstall could've fixed it, but I've done everythign about it. If nothing's written, I'll mention it on their modpage. Thank you!

"Show townspeople on map" shows all NPCs at the wrong locations (Wizard is even outside of the map lol - seems like a scaling problem)
With NPC Map Locations (2.5.11)
All NPCs are shown at the correct locations, but the map is not sized correctly (goes outside of the tab content frame, causing the top part to be hidden behind the tab bar)

It changes a lot of game maps but not by a lot, and adds a lot of characters and locations
For a short summary of my understanding; the mod page is likely to be useful
If you just want more NPCs, I recommend looking at East Scarp and associated mods
Also Always Raining in The Valley

Ridgeside adds a new location that’s pretty big, but also a ton of NPCs; it might or might not be too much change for your tastes

I'm saving extended for once I've 100%'d stardew vanilla with a few mods tho!
In that many NPCs that move in there come from different mods you can install or not as desired

You should also give Lunna - Astray in Stardew Valley a shot, it's made by the same guy who made Ridgeside Village, though it's definitely smaller
For example, I have played with Lumisteria Flowers and Crops, and some of the villagers love some of the flowers
