honeybadger did you use XNB replacers or SMAPI-loaded mods?
XNB replacers are prone to Issues
a log might still be helpful
also, if stuff appears in the console during a crash but not in the log, see if you can copy-paste-grab it!

Well ridgeside has different requirements than SVE, but if you have those mentioned above, Space Core and Expanded preconditions then youre good to go

Custom Farming Redux Mods?
custom farming redux is old; it's recommended to use producer framework mod instead whenever possible
both mods dont do anything player-facing by themselves, but allow other mods to add recipes to machines
so you install the relevant framework mod (CFR or more likely PFM) and you install the mod you want to use; then you use that mod's added machines and recipes like you'd use a vanilla machine/recipe

Hello!! I love this game so much and that's why I am here to ask for help since I cant seem to figure out where or what exactly I causing the problem. As I use android i do have very limited access to mods. The problem is Shane, Pam and Sam when he works in Joja Mart seems to be stuck there even after their scheduled time. They are not doing things according to their schedule because they cant get out of Joja Mart. Even Jodi seem to be stuck when she went in there. Also they don't seem to appear inside the mart as well. I cant figure out what exactly is causing this problem. If anyone can help me out. I will be really grateful! Thank you in advance.

oh dear, its the went-through-wrong-tile bug probably
the NPCs are trying to go into the right tile of jojamart entrance warp but touch the left tile first
so they get warped to the jojamart map 'early' and then just...walk straight forward ignoring all collision
(i've also seen videos of this happening in non-warp-related contexts involving growing vast numbers of trees; "go straight forward ignoring all collision" appears to be the result when an NPC's pathfinding fails mid-schedule)
(e.g. abruptly on the wrong map for the part of the schedule they're in, or unable to path through a bunch of trees)
one thing you might be able to do is to put a tree in front of one of the jojamart warp tiles!
the bug's also called the "joja void" because it kept hecking happening with jojamart
you can try karmylla's immersive maps - it has a fix for it!
@barren blade try installing Karmylla's Immersive Maps - it works with 1.4 and it fixes the Joja Void bug
(by hiding a dirt tile behind one of the tiles on the door, so NPCs avoid the left door tile)

Is there a way to forcibly plant something on a tile? I've got a mod for the greenhouse but because it is outdated I cant plant banana saplings inside.

What Greenhouse Mod are you using? Maybe the Modder made not all the tiles plantable?

It's called Custom Greenhouse, made by Forkmaster. The mod is hidden because it needs updating (or says so when you directly go to the mod page).
Very simple - 15x15 planting area for regular crops then specific areas for fruit trees. Other fruit trees work just fine - I forgot what message came up - lemme start up the game.
Now this is embarrasing...I must've misclicked a spot or something because I planted just fine right now (without that mod). Oh well - it's a learning experience 😄

you can launch SMAPI with Steam but it requires changing your launch options. SMAPI does give you the thing you need to put in your launch options at the end of the installation process, but people often don't notice that and skip the "copy launch option and paste it into Steam" step
you can run the installer again to get the launch option string again
or just launch with the smapi exe in the game folder
adding it as a non-steam game seems to allow for multiplayer, maybe? idk i just noticed that i got the steam overlay + it turned stardew valley's name green when i added a smapi as a non-steam game and launched it
("why were you doing that" because unofficial 64-bit on my machine was cursed or something and acted weird when launched via launch options but only for me. any other launch method, including 'add a non-steam game', worked perfectly.)
ok so my mods folder (in steam) appears to be empty. I'm doing this through vortex.
Also when I open vortex it complains I don't have smapi installed, which I have done a second time just to make sure now.

i dont think theres a way of automatically installing dependencies
however, a small number of dependencies are used by a large number of mods
There is a mod portrait that compatible with SMAPI 3.7.6 content patcher, so i just change the image with the portrait mod that i want... and it work pretty fine
content patcher, for example, is used by like...half the mods out there
if it adds items, it probably uses JA
that kind of thing

yes, the 1.5.5 update (beta currently) is coming which turns SDV 64-bit, so unofficial 64-bit version is unsupported now for the smapi versions after
yes, you can just go to sdv -> properties -> beta and select monogame beta or something. I suggest after running the game once, get the log, look at the updates.

the mod is probably using tilesheets that are already in the game. You could try removing them from the mod to see if it fixes it. Could you give me a screenshot of the inside of the tilesheets folder of that mod?
The thing is, I don't know what mod it is pertaining to. Also, it's my friend's log. I'm walking him through the modding process. He just left a couple of minutes ago.
I was able to fix the 4 red errors in the first few lines, the orange text is just what I cannot figure out because it doesn't say what mod is causing that.
hm, well it's yellow and I've gotten those type before. I thought it may have been a mod that changes the farmcave, but I don't see any particularly.
Right? I also looked over his mods list, which is the same as mine. There are no mods that touch the farm cave.

Most of the time, if it can cause problems when adding mid-save, it will say so on the mod page :))

release is compiled and runnable
on the github, go to the right and somewhere there's a releases button,

Depending on which mods you have, you're looking at longer load times with 44 mods, especially running 1.5.4 instead of the 64-bit beta. My partner and I have a ton of mods, and even beta 1.5.5 takes about 10-15 minutes to load into the save from startup 
we're addicted to mod collecting!! The modding community is just... so nice!!

Are you using the yagisan mod for zoro's coords? I updated zoro so that his coords are aligned with his new boathouse location in his recent update. But it looks like yagisan hasnt updated zoro to be the same yet?

Is there a mod that makes wood paths (or some other path) invisible? I wanna use the Automate mod, but I don't want to have visible paths on the ground everywhere connecting everything

You could make an invisible path as an item and tell Automate to use that as a path?

youll have to configure something to make the mod say that the path can connect(?)

if paths were already doing that, my farm would be fucked right now LOL
just use cp to erase them (visually) from the game,
set up a blank 16x16 grid png, target the straw path, set it to Replace, and you're good to go
The only issue with that, is that removing/changing them may become difficult as you transform your farm. ALthough I think Automate has an in game short cut key that turns on the ui grid and shows you what machines are connected and how far the connection goes

ok, using an art program like photoshop, aseprite, firealpaca, mspaint, etc find the png file that has the paths pictured
when you find it and have it opened in your program, you are going to erase the paths that replace the straw path

make sure you are staying within the exact pixel area of the straw retexture! In the bottom right of your program, it will tell you pixel coordinates and pixel height and width. heigh and width should match 64x64 exactly
once you erase, save and you're good to go :D you'll still see the graphic for the thumbnail, but it should place blank paths. and if that doesn't work, then you might have to do another step but we'll wait on that

nope, download smapi (as if you're going to install it) and when it runs it will give you the option to uninstall smapi
if you did any xnb modding (changing files manually), then you'll want to have steam validate your files to get the correct vanilla files
(paint.net is free providing you dont get it from the ms store)

it's probably better that way actually, the compatibility patches aren't applied now and i'm pretty sure they are mostly outdated

modded stardew uses more resources than unmodded stardew, so if your computer struggled with unmodded stardew it will definitely struggle with modded stardew

oh oba since i have cat to rooster default replacements installing your mod will mean that stardew valley suddenly has a bunch of feral chickens haha
So I switched to stardew 1.5.5 beta to test my modlist. And I ran into a slight problem. Custom walls and floors (CWF) became obsolete because the game has its own support in 1.5.5 but the mod rustic country walls and floors requires CWF to run. I tried deleting the part in the manifest that required CWF and that didnt work. I tried redownloading CWF again anyway and smapi said it no longer will run it since its obsolete
rustic country walls and floors doesnt require CWF :o i use the CP version of it

theres a bunch of errors in this log. some of them are from expanded storage, some are from adopt&skin incorrect skin names, and MFM is warning you about every single ppja item. also, gift taste data isnt a field (in your dga error)

dga is still pretty new, so stick with jsonassets ppja stuff for now
the actual cause of the crash appears to be the NPC with the invalid schedule; installing the Warp Snitch mod will mean that if that happens again the log will contain some more helpful info
I don't think it's going to work to re-exturize the mods, since they're made for custom furniture, but thank you anyway.
