Yo i was trying to enchant my game with some mods, i am still learning so i dont know much, and thought about starting with the portraits, anime ones idk
So i am asking, do i download the "Oho Davi Portrait xnb" or the "Portrait Anime Mods Ohodavi"? Or is it both?

I don't know the details about your issue, but you haven't forgotten to set the launch option, right? That's the only thing that I can think of here.

Hi everyone im having some difficulty with errors on a mac that im using. https://smapi.io/log/987c367fba0e4e3cbe95473d1c96db07 this should be the complete log that has both of the errors in it. I dont imagine its any mods needing to be updated since the mods that want to be updated arent in the errors.
I did find a reddit post with the same issue but it didnt seem like anyone had an asnwer and ive been looking for a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I saw one post say i needed a specific file from mono in my stardew valley game folder but whenever i download mono it doesnt appear to come with said file. I had talked to the discord of the creators of mono and they said that mono seems to be installed correctly. Addititionally i did uninstall and reinstall stardew valley expanded but got the same error messages
the error seems to be from Stardew Aquarium, can you try deleting it fully and reinstalling?
open the link to the log, at the very top it shows you want needs to be updated, clicking on them will take you to the pages to update
I was gonna indeed try that one theres also an error farther up from tmxl map toolkit saying something about sve and a library file from mono

thats totally fair this is the file that the first error says its having an issue with a specific map in it but i dont know where this file came from
SMAPI would register that you have them, but you dont. double check, since PyTK, CM, and TMX have unofficial versions

or at least ive never seen it, delete everything related to SVE in your folder and reinstall

like it didnt come with my installation of stardew valley expanded and i didnt see it with my installation of SVE's "grandpa's farm" map

I can try that the only files that came with sve were "custom music, custom Npc exclusions, custom npcs, and stardew valley expanded"
these are the only files inside of the folder as well
inside the SVE folder?

ah, might as well remove it and try launching again to see if the error's gone? that folder shouldn't exist from the get-go i believe
Inside the abandoned house exterior file as well are just a few tile sheets one titled paths and the other a tilesheet that has images of buildings around town

Might take a bit stardew valley is doing something weird where after restarting the computer the stardew valleys files all appear to be missing and the shortcut to the mods folder leads to a random file somewhere different im gonna try a fresh install
Hi all! I don't seem to be able to find the desert minecart to access Castle Village and the Crimson Badlands and that part of the content. The rest of SDE seems to work (other NPCs and maps seem to be fine). I reinstalled SDE, SMAPI SpaceCore and Json Assets just now with no luck yet π . https://smapi.io/log/adc8946b320d4f0ca866f0af2f02c40d I was looking at some other SDE videos and the cart should be around here, but I don't see it? Marlon told me I could use the cart now too.
there are now more requirements to unlock it and its been moved elsewhere, id recommend looking on the SVE wiki

Okay so far so good I temporarily moved the SVE maps file to the desktop to get it out of the mods folder and the spot where the error usually appears in the log has not provided an error yet so fingers crossed haha. So far so good all thats left is to launch and try to walk around to see if the aquarium error appears.
If it does i dont mind removing the aquarium mod and playing without it haha

someone mentioned this earlier, try uninstalling it and reinstalling, and get .NET 5 Desktop, not the console version
what i think might have happened was that SVE maps file was some a trash file created by another mod and since it was in the mod folder the game thought it was a new mod but couldnt make heads or tails of what was inside

aight so 6480's storage variety like, broke for me (at robin's shop) in that the recipe shows up as a clump of weeds and the description also calls it a pile of weeds

A friend and i are trying to play using the stardew valley expanded mod. I can get it to open and run fine on my pc however their's will not load the expanded map. They have all the same mods enabled/downloaded as me. Vortex isn't throwing any errors to give any hints about what is causing it.. Does anyone have any ideas?

not as far as i know, but if you want fishing furniture/special furniture you can spawn it with CJB Item Spawner

how can i update smapi? it says to use the installer but where is the damn installer? i clicked on install on windows.bat and it did nothing, what am i supposed to do? this is not easy at all.

y'all, I'm going crazy. I had a mod in my game that had these OP cookies that you could make with ancient fruit, sweet gem berries, starfruit, eggs and something else that would give you like +5 on every stat. Now the recipe is gone, and I can't remember what mod it was from -- I thought it was Ridgeside Village??

Hi everyone I am currently encountering a memory leak issue and I have the smapi log for you here https://smapi.io/log/63f020aa1c984b4488ae8982f67a8478.
I tried to look through to see what was causing the memory leak but i cant tell and was hoping someone could see something i cant
The game had occasional lag spikes at first which got more and more frequent until the game turned into a slideshow and the lag became intense before it froze and provided that out of memory exception. I know there has to be a memory leak somewhere but im not sure how to find it or where

OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. I saw in the changelogs that they nerfed some recipes. Maybe that was part of it?
Do you happen to know if there is a config or .bat file that i could use to increase the memory limit? I also just went through and closed all of the useless 32 bit programs i could find. I want to avoid updating to 1.5.5 because that would be a lot of work getting the new smapi and having to redo my entire mods list to find mods that work with 1.5.5
There isn't. The methods in the wiki page are the ones available.
A lot of mods have updated for 1.5.5 though, and for C# mods you can check the compatibility list

Getting the new SMAPI itself is simply downloading and installing the version for 1.5.5 though. So that's one less thing to worry about
I personally got 2 OOMs a while back and just decided to close the game after 1 day to keep them at bay, then launch SMAPI again. I use the mod One Day at a Time to automatically close the game after saving
Totally fair I dont know if the one day at a time mod would work too well for me because the game takes a really long time to load into the game and i just assumed that was a side affect of having a lot of mods
Yea that's the trade off. Use the beta and potentially lose some mods, play fewer days in a row and have to load the game multiple times, or have the errors happen and lose progress

I have encountered a very interesting bug. When looking at certain items in Lookup Anything, it says that I need to craft weeds into weeds for the master crafting achievement, duplicated like 10 times. Anyone heard of it?

Hi! You'll actually have this happen when using any custom skill mods - spacechase's Luck or Cooking skills will do the same. The wallet's actually just getting moved over to the left to make room for more skills in the character sheet:
The wallet might be hidden if you've got no wallet items yet, but it'll pop back up when you've got one or more

Hi! Quick question about installing SVE: I don't have the logs, but TMXLoader seems to be complaining about assets it can't find, like SpousesRooms/VictorsRoom.tmx. The file is in there, but maybe the directory structure is not right? Is the Stardew Valley Expanded folder in https://camo.githubusercontent.com/78ecb8284a8ef3d87ef8c6f1b4ced2e0342a4d7fbd27726e2bee281dd86d4daa/68747470733a2f2f69312e6c656e7364756d702e636f6d2f692f5a6f6561644b2e706e67 supposed to contain others (FTM, TMX and so on)?

I had some trouble with this yesterday and realized itβs because Iβm running the beta and TMX was broken. Thereβs an unofficial update for TMX that might fix it?

The beta 1.5.5, which means SMAPI and a lot of the core component mods had to be updated for that

Why is my Stardew Valley Expanded mod lagging so much?
It stopped responding for about 5 minutes when i created the farm and the bus cutscene ended, then it started responding but it stopped responding again when i sleeped

Zipped folders are like squashing all the stuff into a tiny box and shutting the door. SMAPI canβt look at the stuff until you take it out of the box.
(Itβs a tiny box because the compression makes it smaller)

I'm on Windows and I've never had this problem with any prior version of SMAPI. I've unzipped it in my SV folder, and when I click on the installer file, it crashes (install window disappears). To make sure it wasn't my pc, I opened the last beta version of SMAPI and it worked fine

I'm playing multiplayer with someone and am very confused rn what they have is carrot seeds and search up anything mod says they are carrots when planted, but.for me the carrot seeds say cashew saplings and the seeds in ground say cashews, but when I grow them using cjb they look like carrots

I excluded my SV folder as one of the recommended solutions in the troubleshooting guide, but the problem persists.
I checked the release notes on Github and I see "Fixed installer window closing immediately if the installer crashed" however that's exactly the problem I'm having now.

No. I move the folder and extract the files into my SV folder (steam steamapps common, etc). Not my mods folder.

I'm running into an issue where I can't see the content added by SVE? If I load into a game there just isn't any content. Also I'm not sure, but a red console window opens itself everytime I launch the game? My friend and I are running into the exact same issue, even though we followed the instructions on the mod page closesly and didn't really install any other mods besides the required/recommended ones.

Quick question if anyone is able to help. I made a mod list that works in windows and when copying it over to a mac and following the setup i get an error with dynamic game assets that is a "divide by zero error"

One thing im seeing is just before the divide by zero errror it says No such "assets/objects/Crème Brûlée.png" in [DGA] Even More Recipes for Dynamic Game Assets (DGA version) (ppja.evenmorerecipes.DGA)!
But looking in the dga version of even more recipies there is a file named exactly that

Yup, that's it! When DGA can't find an image it tries to divide by zero
There has been some discussion about eventually putting in better error handling in DGA

There are a few ways:
- Use Tiled
- Find the mod that lets you edit maps and see if it can do this (It is called Map Editor)
- Download "Crops Anytime Anywhere" (it's a lot more powerful than you need but it will accomplish this)
It depends on your skill level/comfort level with tools
Yeah, that mod is pretty solidly a cheats mod, but if you don't want to get into the nitty gritty of maps it's the easiest option

did you marry krobus? it's complaining about missing files for the child age up mod, for example 'assets\female\Portraits\Krobus.png', which probably breaks the whole making of an npc of the child

different error now though SContentLoadException: ValeriesMaps loaded map 'ValsSpouseRoom.tmx' with invalid tilesheet path 'z_Valfurniture.png'. The tilesheet couldn't be found relative to either map file or the game's content folder.. might be another corrupted mod (or antivirus/similar messing with the files)

also, download smapi 3.13 if you don't already have an up-to-date copy of the installer
(you'll be installing it again and updating your launch options so steam launches 1.5.5 stardew and not your copy of 1.5.4 stardew)

(the bits that directly rely on content patcher)
that repeating error is SVE maps failing to load because they rely on mod-added tilesheets that aren't present - content patcher is needed to load them

i'd download SVE again to avoid the red since it looks like you're straight up missing a chunk of SVE

SVE offers two options for changing the farm map. these replace the standard farm, must be downloaded separately, are optional, and you can only install one.

cabbage, from the looks of it you can use the regular ridgeside village, but you need the unofficial TMXL to load it

SMAPI used to only directly support loading Tbin-format maps, and TMXL used to make it able to handle the TMX format + do a bunch of other things, but now SMAPI can handle TMXL file format by default so TMXL just does the grab bag of other features it picked up

3. yes, there's a beta-compatible tractor mod. look in optional files
4. yeah you can just replace your 1.5.4 versions with the unofficial 1.5.5 versions
