Depends on what you mean by "skip". You could use CJB Cheats Menu to do all kinds of stuff like cheat in money, level up skills, and increase heart levels. With CJB Item Spawner you can give yourself any item you want
So, it was 10pm in game and I tried entering Pelican Town. When I did, all I seen was a black screen. My mouse was still active but nothing else. It had been working fine earlier in the day. I had moved all over the map and there wasnt any lag until after 10pm.

Json assets adds items by id number, based on names. Sometimes, if you change the name of the item, json assets still keeps that item name and then adds a new one. And then json assets goes crazy trying to figure out what just happened to that old id

Yeah, pretty dang sure. If anything, you get warnings but they aren't actual errors. And they don't cause much of an issue, just result in objects not showing up. At least that is how it was in my experience. Before I understood how JA worked, I was easily able to play games with duplicate item warnings.

Saelym out here with blackest of magic if duplicate items totally fine for them - in addition to the cascade of red in console people got actual crashes all the time.
Like "oh it's fine, my game is still going even though I saw all those errors" and then 20 minutes later when they click the ground to try to plant/harvest something "why did I crash? ignore the JA errors they are unrelated"

It should be the first thing that pops up, and then should always be open. It looks like a terminal window with text logging in it, and you can alt tab to it at any time. On Windows it's usually black like a command prompt and your game has a pufferchick symbol instead of a regular chicken.
im using vortex and the smapi icon is greyed out even though ive installed it
I'm not sure what the latest on installing SMAPI with Vortex is - this is the main resource that I know of for it https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Modding_Stardew_Valley_with_Vortex, but you might try just installing SMAPI manually https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Windows.
If you're new to modding in general, I'd personally suggest installing your mods manually, too.

(Stardew doesn't have stuff like manual load order sorting and the like, so while the mod managers available can be nice QoL as long as nothing goes wrong, once something does go wrong it's going to have an additional layer of confusion than just "unzip into Mods folder", and that's when the managers themselves are working perfectly 😅 )

OK, so, on the duplicate item part, yes! You'll want to remove Plain Cheesecake from either Pride Pastries or Even More Recipes for JsonAssets. But... there are more errors. I think the one that's spamming is related to the CC mods, but it's possible that it's just showing that bloob patches the method and it's not related. Cleaning up the JA stuff first will at least get those out of the way.
No need to upload the mod itself! I'm assuming you're talking about this one, right? https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2952. Maybe sure you have the unofficial update https://smapi.io/mods/#Elevator (check that page in general for compatibility stuff whenever you're not sure!).
For placing the building, the instructions are in the mod description, under the Setup section. You have to do it through special commands typed into the SMAPI console - you can't just build it at Robin's or anything.

There's an open beta you have to opt into on Steam that isn't out yet, and I wondered if you were using that. The unofficial update is broken for me, but I'm not sure yet if it's because I'm on the beta or earlier than that.

Well, if you didn't specifically tell Steam, "I want to download this beta version", you're probably on 1.5.4. You can click the ? box at the title screen to see your version at the lower left, and it will also show up at the top of any SMAPI log https://smapi.io/log (which, regardless, is the best place to start when you are having problems!)

The version you should be using is the unofficial update, which is 1.1.1-unofficial.2-strobe, which you can find the link to here https://smapi.io/mods/#Elevator.
(That version might work for you, but if it's broken there's not a way to fix it on the player side, unfortunately.)

Ideally, you wouldn't do it that way, but would instead open up the mod's content.json and comment out whole patch blocks. {}.
(Or even better, use a config.json when provided!)

yes, if you read the red text it will say why it's not loading, you're missing mods that are needed for SVE to work
you're missing quite a lot for SVE to work (and lots of other key mods that other mods need)

Immersive is huge, bit much for 1 person. Grandpa's is more manageable and is more "canon" with the story of SVE
canon, means the general rule of something. In terms of story/fiction it is used to mean something that is correct within that world/story.
Harry Potter fan fiction is not canon to the Harry Potter Series.
The Fantastic Beasts sequal films are canon to the Harry Potter world..
SVE is a fan mod.. with it's own story.. it's non canon to SV but it has its own canon

I should really mention that of the 38 bug reports there were from just before the update...
- about half were related to the custom Community Centre area, which i've since remade and reuploaded;
- half again were issues that had almost definitely been fixed, but i'd left the bug report active in case they ever came up again (they never did);
- about a quarter were also duplicates of existing bug reports, which hadn't been cleared out;
- and maybe a third-to-a-quarter were active issues that i'd solved in the lead-up to the last update
LOC has never really had 20~40 active issues at any one time, it's just there's a whole bunch of bug reports for non-issues all the time

actually the 1.5.5 compatibility took about 2 minutes, but it was accidentally packaged in with a hundred other changes, sooo it took far longer than it needed to get released
(maybe just as well, since there was a last-minute new 1.5.5 bug that needed squashing!)
LOC is hands down one of the best mods i have ever used

That seems to be causing issues, ye. There are also problems with the DCBurger portrait mods you have
I see there's also a problem with the Mine Map from SVE and from Jasper. I'd recommend reinstalling both of those mods
you're also using the 64-bit version so might be some mods that just dont work on 64 bit
(But the community kitchen and JA errors are gone \o/)
I think you can also try reinstalling the DCBurger portraits but if that doesn't help, then that should be reported to the relevant mod authors. Same goes for the stardew kids mod

you have quite a lot of errors, but the final error is "out of memory" which means you ran out of RAM and the game crashed.

has anyone been having an issue relating to NPCs taking incorrect paths / completely derailing over the past few days?
i have no idea if it’s 64 but related, mod related, no idea - but penny is stuck behind the garbage can outside of jodi’s house. vincent walked out of his room into the black space on the right and never returned. alex walks into a cliff and disappears. linus walks off a cliff and hovers there. gus is missing altogether although both ui suite and npc locations show him as being in the saloon.

NPC pathing is always weird.. but normally just custom NPCs. Although custom maps can cause issues with vanilla NPCs
ye my guess is there's something creating a circular route somewhere and so everyone's gone rogue, but map modding is not my forte

i would experiment, with mods that edit maps/etc.. remove SVE for example.. see if you still get weird behaviour when NPCs load in.. if they behave normally put SVE back and try again.
you are using a beta version of SVE so it's more likely the cause than other map mods
I hate that SVE has so many issues at times, cause Sophia is an absolute doll
The only things I see to update are Custom Companions and Love of Cooking, listed at the top of the log. You do have an error for Save Anywhere at the end though. That mod is incompatible with a ton of other mods and can just mess with the game in general so we don't recommend it
darnit!! i love the concept of Save Anywhere 'cause I have a tendency to let chest-organization get away from me, and suddenly I've spent hours IRL doing stuff with no time passing in game, and I don't want to lose it but also don't want to finish the day often, cause I've put in so much time organizing I just get frustrated.
I'll try the updates and uninstalling Save Anywhere to see if that helps before I uninstall SVE (since none of my mutuals with SVE seem to be having the same issue) - thanks so much for your help!
You need to make sure you share your whole log, not just a picture of text. https://smapi.io/log has instructions for how to do that. The error you showed a picture of is not for missing CP, it's for missing SVE, but we can't see the whole thing.
Go to https://smapi.io/log and follow the instructions to upload the log to that site, and then share the link.
Yep, you don't have the main SVE install at all. You'll need to download and install that. https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3753?tab=files
(Grandpa's Farm is a separate add-on for it, that still requires the main file.)
Pssst I see in the changelog for LOC you mentioned you got rid of the PyTK requirement but the requirements section of the mod page still says PyTK is required

(In this error Grandpa's Farm 1.13.11 because it requires mods which aren't installed (FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedCP), FlashShifter.StardewValleyExpandedCP is the UniqueID of the required mod. That's usually fine. Make sure you check the install instructions from the author in case they say otherwise, and if you have a problem you can do a clean install. (And if you're not sure, too.)

Ye if you're 100% sure you have the latest version, it's a typo in the version number in the manifest.json file. The message is harmless but if you want it to go away you can manually update the version number in the manifest.json file yourself using a text editor like Notepad

There may be a change to the game files that makes the SMAPI installer not recognize it.
If you only had a problem getting a specific mod to work, I would be willing to help get that working even though you didn't buy the game, but I'm not familiar enough with the mobile port to know if there's a possibility your issue is not caused by how you got the game.
iirc there was someone who came in a while back with android smapi problems where it turned out that they had a pirated version with changes to the game files that was causing Problems - and they genuinely thought they had a legit copy

So I downloaded all the missing mods but the errors I'm getting say that mods cannot be added because they are empty folders...?

Crops grow if they are watered. Best practise is to work towards getting Retaining Soil fertilisers (has a chance to keep soil watered) or sprinklers. If you're of a high enough level of friendship with ||the Wizard|| and can afford to ||get junimo buildings to place around your main farm's crops and Junimos will water plants for you (plus other things||. Do not know if ||Ginger Island Farmhouse|| allows sprinklers, so perhaps test that out.

It could be that as well, share your log here and perhaps someone can look and see if there is a mod conflict that might be causing the error. Also, have you tried to harvest them? If you use a mod that speeds up growing time, visual growth stages will be skipped over and it will be "harvestable" even though it still looks like it is in early stages of crop growth.

That's rather easy. What you want is to have two Mods folders, when you want to disable one all you do is rename it to ".Mods" instead of "Mods"

What SMAPI does is look for a folder in your SDV folder called "Mods" and loads whatever is in that folder. So you could in theory have several folders with different mods
So here it would only load the one folder with the correct name, and leave the other one alone. When I want to swap to the other set of mods in my other folder, I just rename them

ye I figured that
stardew relies on the XNA framework, which tries to do sound-related stuff and fails if there's no valid audio device
so it cant load properly, especially if theres a mod thats relying on XNA being fully initialized

you need to either a. rename the Mods- SVE folder to just Mods, or follow the steps in that mod groups thing to get SMAPI to launch using a mods folder that isn't named Mods

the mod says it is for SVE and I followed the steps to replace the sprite
** Go into your SVE folder > assets > Character Files
For Sprite, go into OverworldSprites > Magnus > Then put Magnus.PNG and click replace **
but the wizard still looks like the Expanded Wizard
If you want to get down and dirty you can just manually replace sprites/etc all depends on what's changing/being modified

I’m not really sure why it isn’t working, but here’s a few suggestions:
- Close and reopen game
- Search SVE folder for all references to Magnus and check if it’s actually somewhere else
It’s possible that SVE has updated how they store the wizard portrait/sprite
Oh also 3. Check if SVE has a config for replacing wizard sprite

Worst case: install this mod as a CP mod, and add a dependency to SVE so SVE loads first and then you replace after that, so your changes load last

i usually delete the worldmaps from the recolor folder
so my map looks vanilla but at least its not mismatching
Yeha it's daisyniko's, it did look quite nice. Guess I'll need to do some more tuning. As a side effect (from another mod) Gunther apparently became invisible as well.

So i Updated: Smapi, Custom Companions, Generic mod config, json assets, spacecore, and Event repeater.
My game is throwing an error for custom music and PYTK, which are not ones I updated.

Does Shop Tile Framework still need Expanded Preconditions Utility or can it work without it like Json Assets?
It needs EPU. You can always double check by testing it and seeing what your SMAPI log says (https://smapi.io/log) or by opening up the mod's manifest.json to see what it has in the Dependencies section.

Does anyone use SVE's immersive farm 2 remastered?
I'm having some trouble figuring out the configs. Theres an option to remove a cherry blossom tree, and I put true and the tree is still there. So Im not sure if Im looking at the right tree
might wanna search through the content file and see what exactly that config is turning off, because it might just be One specific tree and not all trees
Dang. Theres like this cherry blossom tree to the left of grandpa's shed thats taking up a big plot and I'd just like it to be normal soil
Also there were options to remove the grass plots and turn them back into just soil plots. I put true for all of them and there was still a huge chunk of grass running along the river to the green house. The only way to get rid of it is putting true for sandbox option in the configs.
But the problem is sandbox takes away the stone paths and the grass fields near grandpa's shed which I would like to keep. I would fix the maps myself, if I knew what maptiles SVE was using. But they dont add most of the tilesheets to their mod
Yeah I saw that, so I just gave up on doing it myself and just made a post on SVE board hoping they could maybe add like another grass plot removal option or a second cherry blossom removal option

Does Better Artisan Good Icons work fine? It' seems to be a bit old now.
In my experience it messes up some icons like making them invisible and it crashed my game one time
it works fine on my end, just doesnt have sprites for the new content in 1.5
I think there's a separate mod with 1.5 sprites though

There's a mod called Map Editor (or similar) on Nexus, that allows you to edit tilesheets. If that doesn't work you'll have to edit the map through Tiled or similar programs.

Yeah, dunno, just a 0.25s freeze or so every 10~20-ish seconds. Will probably try to throw out Ferngill Weathers and SVE and see if that fixes it, just since those seem big/intensive mods haha

Maybe it is SVE since it goes "[19:10:05 TRACE Stardew Valley Expanded] [AntiSocial] Overriding CanSocialize for Lance" for 10 NPCs every so often
SVE can definitely make your game lag considering how big it is, i also see you have CP Animations but no content packs for it, id highly recommend not getting any because it causes MAJOR lag

Do you guys think the lag problems is because of the game being 32bit and due to limited ram being able to be used? When CA updates stardew to 1.5.5 and gets the game to 64bit and can use unlimited ram, will the lags from like sve or animations stop?
I'm on 1.5.5 actually, so shouldn't be an issue for me
I get lag problems too but I dont want to drop sve or ridgeside or the animation mods
The ram isn't unlimited but 1.5.5 can use all the ram you have on your machine, instead of just 2GB or whatever it is now with 1.5.4
2GB? I thought stardew was able to utilize at least 4GB. No wonder my game spits out memory errors every so often

well removing SVE seems to reduce the lag, but not make it go fully away
It's extra annoying because part of me is like "It's just a little hang every now and then, it's not like it's unplayable! Just play!" but it's so visually annoying haha
The lag gets worse if I play mulitplayer.
animations cause lots of lag, you can also remove ridgeside custom music to give you more memory space
are they like badly implemented or something? Usually you'd figure animations shouldn't cause an issue
assuming it's content patcher animations, it just adds more things to update every tick

I remember just for experimental reasons I tried something and it made the game run, 1 frame a second... but it was a very large animation I created

DGA supports animations now, did the same thing with it and had less lag although when I got someone else to try the same thing it wouldn't load for them at all. I reported the bug.. so I'll just wait for more DGA updates before I try again.
Pretty sure deleting the CM from any mod, SVE or Ridgeside, just.. prevents the mod from loading at all
Best thing to do is disable SVE's music with preloading, Ridgeside's already comes with preloading turned off

My mods have custom music that's for events so I'm curious
Don't believe so, it just makes the music load in once that area / event is reached, so that might cause an itty bitty little bit of delay, but it's better than all of it loading in all at once at the beginning
Loading everything at once while the game is loading up causes extremely long load times, but, that's when, you know, you have a ton, like SVE does

no, it just changes how the music is loaded into the game
it will just play the default titlescreen music instead. If someone deleted the CM folder
I'd hope they wouldn't do that
they're possibly also not listening to music anyway if they delete the music files. Some people do just mute all music and listen to their own
but if they are doing it to make things run a bit better, then it's just a side note that has to be noted that they do compromise certain things.
I guess so yeah I mute my music sometimes if it's too stimulating
Did speak to someone once who deleted all their CM folders because they were fully deaf, so it was pointless having this extra stuff load that was no good to them.

Anyone know of a mod other than Better Sort that does something similar, but what it actually would do is push all the items up against each other to fill in spaces yet stay in the same order? Cause I don't always carry all my equipment. So if I only need my Rod and Pan with BetterSort, I have them set to 7 and 8, and 1-7 is just left empty to fill in with items which is the problem for me.
It's a very OCD problem I have that needs fixing, lolol

just downloaded SVE, it loads and i can get as far as creating a new farm. otherwise the screen is black but i can see a slight outline of the room
