For uninstalling? Make sure they're not your spouse and that you launch the game with smapi for the first in game day after uninstalling them. Both npcs and locations put data in the save file that SMAPI can remove but the vanilla game cant handle

First of all, Alune's English is a folder without anything in it. It's not a mod.
Actually, it may have something in it but the sub-folder of that mod folder may not.
According to the SMAPI log, there is nothing in AlternativePortraits.

Folders inside folders in regards to mods should be okay but you could try moving all folders inside Alune's English to the Mods folder.

You installed the wrong version of content patcher. If you're using the Linux 64bit version you need the version of Content Patcher that works with Smapi 3.12.5

its not that either, its not that my game is not loading, when i click "LOAD" on menu screen my game freezes
when i check task manager, the game is not using 50.000K of ram, when the game is running is using 3GB
My 64bit version also freezes but it works after I leave it alone for a bit.

but like i said before, the game is "kidnapping" my screen
i cant see other apps when game is running

Hey! I recently opened SDV after a hiatus, not before updating SMAPI, Pytk, and Expanded Preconditions. However, I stumbled across a problem- once I interacted with my dresser, nothing happened but I started to lag while walking in the house and couldn't interact with the bed. No, I don't think so- the only mod I removed was Mi's and Magimatica's Country Furniture

I was looking over them when they were extracting the mods and stuff, so far I don't think I saw anything out of place-
I'll double check on them once they come back, but I've never seen this smapi error before-
I keep seeing issues with something called IndoorPot
Also, I believe you might have installed SVE wrongly when it comes to olivia's folders
same with that flashshifter
I would advice you to reconfirm the instal steps stated in sve and check this indoorpot, maybe remove it and see if the issue continues

i agree that it does not sound like something that would react to the crabpots, but just to confirm i would suggest fixing it regardless, maybe there is some kind of underlaying code that is connecting them?
yeah thats from minerva bundle change, im not using the ppja so it should be safe 2 ignore
and the red message is probably issue with line sprinklers and better sprinkler, guess i have to choose 1 of them

Hi everyone.
So, I uninstalled SDV from Steam a while ago due to no interest in playing it anymore. However, I've decided to come back to it as it is a very light-hearted game that is more appropriate for me than other more intense and hostile games.
So, SMAPI was still enabled. I've now disabled SMAPI, downloaded the latest edition and reinstalled SMAPI.
I've gone to my SDV folder and in it is a Mods sub-folder, Contents, and Contents (Unpacked) folder. I saved the SMAPI into the SDV folder.
Have I done everything correctly? π
i think smapi shouldnt be inside any mod folder
you can keep SMAPI anywhere that isnt the Mods folder, so having it in your SDV folder is okay. i personally keep it in there or on my desktop sometimes
I think SMAPI is outside of the mods folder but there are three 'mods' in there that I don't know if they should be.
Save Backup, Error Handler, and Console Commands.

You can change the launch options in steam under "Properties"
If you want vanilla, just delete your launch pathing so it's empty

So I've been using Stardew Valley Reimagined 2 but it always messes up and makes the special order board invisible. Has anyone else had this issue, and is there a better map rework mod I could use?
And about that issue, I found out that PlatoTK was the problem. So I removed it and fortunately I only use 1 mod that depends on it.
Weird though, they used to work together before. Maybe because it's not update for Harmony?

I've been using SVO for a year I believe and I suddenly had this problem over 4 months ago. I thought that maybe the mod just has a bug and just has to be updated, but about 1-2 updates later no changes were seen.

The only mod that was modifying Harvey portrait so far in your log is SVO.
They also have Portraiture, so they might just be using a portrait from there for Harvey without knowing
In which case, they can talk to Harvey and press the P until it circles back to the vanilla folder

Either by using the Generic Mod Config Menu mod or by opening the config file from the folder. It's a text file, so any text program can open it for you to edit

You can also just open the game briefly, until the updating section loads on the log and then close it so you can open that on smapi and see what needs updating

I use https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5450 which is a similar look, where Harvey has his glasses as well. So it'll either be the case that you'll just have a glassless Harvey, or find a different mod to replace them

I think it's just modding in general. I have 82 mods and it takes me over 5 mins to start up my save file.
Someone told me here before that the memory? used my sdv is limited to 4 gb only modded or not.

Fifteen minutes with almost 1000 mods here 
Mine's a 16 gb laptop with graphics card. But SDV itself just uses 4 gb max. So if you have a lot of mods, I don't know the minimum number, but your game should start to slow down.

Sooo I have an issue, my SMAPI on tablet doesn't seem to ACTUALLY load mods, although it does take a bit to start up and shows the mods loading while it's opening.. Also the Config file for FTM didn't appear after I started a new game and slept through one day to save... D:

No, I don't think so, my mods are:
automate - contentpatcher - dynamicnighttime - expandedpreconditionsutility - ftm - friendsforever - immersivefarm2remastered - jsonassets - pytk - sb_potC - skullCavernElevator - SpaceCore - SVE - WinterGrass
as you can see most of those are utility/core to others, I suspect the issue might be in IF2R but if that's my only bug I'll honestly just deal with it xD

Anyone else having frequent lag spikes using the SMAPI 1.5.5 beta? I can run 130 mods on SMAPI 1.5 with no issue, but I'm getting lag even with no mods on the beta :c
I've seen it mentioned here before - out of curiosity do you notice anything like memory spiking in relation to the lag spikes?
Nope, memory usage is consistent. Really the only thing I notice is the fps overlay through Steam - on SMAPI 1.5 it stays at a constant 61 fps, but on the beta it's capped at 60 and drops to 57 every 10 seconds. Not sure if that's helpful in any way but figured I'd mention it.
Adding mods makes the lag spikes more severe when they happen.
The biggest change in SDV 1.5.4 to SDV 1.5.5 on Windows is it switches from XNA to MonoGame, and there is some anecdotal evidence out there which suggests it may perform more poorly
I want to install the Tractor mod temporarily but Iβm afraid that if I uninstall it later on itβll corrupt my save. Is there a way to prevent this or does this even happen?

I use the Tractor via Summon without Garage to clean up my farm and remove it, when I've saved the game. So far I didn't have any issues.
What is Summon without Garage?
Iirc you can safely just remove the tractor mod and the tractor becomes a horse with a really long name
You can also have an MP server where some people have the tractor mod and some dont!
The people who dont have tractor mod see a horse with a weird name
If you use Tractor the cheaty way (without having to place the building) you can safely remove with no side-effects

couple of friends and i are playing coop and crazy me decided i want to occupy my terrain with nothing but ducks. We went for community center and didn't know you couldn't buy the auto petters, don't wanna move to joja. so we'll use the ID glitch with marnie to spawn em. Yes. I knew that CP:A didn't work right with spritemaster, I even knew why
I never really analyzed what pipeline it was getting caught in, though
mainly because I knew it meant I had to add another sprite data reference layer
the texture objects of the spritemaps have MTexture2D objects associated with them. When they detect a change, a cache flush may have to occur on the object
the MTexture2D objects themselves store sprite tables to sprite elements detected within the table
there's some theories that animated DGA would work better with spritemaster than CP:A, and with a 1.5.5 SpriteMaster it should be much easier for people to test to see if it works!
the complexity here is I don't want to be copying the entire sprite table for every animation of a sprite

the two ways I've seen so far are updating the specific sprite element within a spritesheet texture, and using render targets
the latter doesn't work with spritemaster at all because spritemaster intentionally ignored render targets
it cannot discern between ones meant for sprites and ones meant for system render targets like the lightmap
so, I need to figure out how to granularize the texture cache that's associated with a spritemap in this case.
it might make sense to just add a layer in it that establishes certain bounds as 'volatile'
and doesn't cache them
problem is that that tells me nothing about the underlying implementation
glancing at it...
looks like it patches the SpriteBatch drawer instead
The source code is all there as well, though it may take a bit of work to understand

I think most will, unless they're added via CP which adds a new array of issues
If it's a JA mod, then they're pretty much susceptible to it. As long as you're not adding new items to an in progress game, you should be fine. Even then, you can just use CJB Item Spawner and trash the shuffled items then spawn in the correct ones.

theres a river and sea fishing spots in the same farm, i can catch both type of fish but crabpots only work with seas even though its in the river tile

Yeah I wouldn't be using DGA at all. It's undoubtedly more advanced than JA but it has the potential for more bugs than JA.

Afaik you can but you need to move your buildings (including the Greenhouse) and install reset terrain features to remove bushes and everything else that's out of place.

It should also be mentioned that Immersive Farm 2 Remastered can only be used with Stardew Valley Expanded. If you don't want to install that mod, I recommend DaisyNiko's Capitalist Dream Farm 2.

The only fix is to delete all the weird items in game unfortunately. You can use CJB cheats to respawn the right thing.
Donβt uninstall and reinstall things because that is likely to cause the problem again, unless there are mods you actually want gone
If you want some gone, do that first, then fix the json shuffle, then you can play as normal

Are there any mods to let my non upgraded coop have an auto feeder? I like the look of it better than the upgraded coop but don't want to keep manually feeding my animals inside
And I don't want them to disrupt the decorative grass outside π
I think CJB Cheats has an option to auto-fill the troughs. Never tried it though
I try to avoid that mod bc it's too OP haha
Another alternative is to get More Grass or Animals Don't Eat Grass. They will still chomp it and be fed, but your aesthetic needs will be there hehe
You don't have to use anything else in it if you don't want to. Just turn everything else off
More Grass has that feature built in. Both mods are available on nexus
Alternatively you can adjust the amount of grass that grows daily, is what I did to increase my amount of coops and barns.

wanted to ask how to manually change mod load order, because I wanna play multiplayer modded, but modded crops are different on each other's screens and we've determined that the problem is differing load orders. I can't seem to find a solid way of changing load orders online, can someone help?

That's the thing, they don't actually destroy it! So it'll stay. I think the only time you need to worry about replenishing is in the winter, assuming you don't have a mod so that grass survives winter
I have that mod! So it will be like I have unlimited grass for them to eat outside?

so i. am having an issue where the "during the night the adoption agency dropped off your new baby" thing keeps coming up - the first time was fine, that one was expected. but now i have two more π³ i turned up the config on multiple spouses to have an extra crib (and that didn't show up, idk whats up with that) but now the extra babies are showing up. what do i do?? how do i stop all these children from showing up π

Today I increase my luck to level 1000+ to see what effect if has on everything. Results vary. I always try to play the game with the most luck possible because it just helps everything. More treasure chests fishing, more crops when harvesting, more ladders and everything while mining and the list goes on. Stardew Valley gameplay with my comment...

i don't use sve but i'd guess thats effecting something if gunther/the museum are having problems and you have no other mods that effect that

they're not really compatible (What are you using KIM's for anyway? It edits interiors and the town map all of which are edited by SVE)
tbh i haven't played since 2019ish and just came back recently to play again, so it could've been something that was relevant at the time and isn't anymore π€· i can delete it

yeh back in the day KIM used to be a requirement of SVE. Im surprised it even loaded: would've expected there to be numerous "Multiple mods tried to load asset, will use default instead" errors. Which is what looked like it happened: that it just flipped back to default.

im using the automate mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1063 this one) it states clearly that it should be possible to use wood paths and crystal paths as connecters, but i cant seem to get it working... ive downloaded the extra file and editet the json fil but nothing... anyone have a file with the crystalpaths or wood paths already enabeled? or any path really, just something more than just workbenches

Apparently it doesn't work anymore and causes several issues. The modder stopped updating it as well.

Remove multiple spouses and see if you're still having babies?
Either get UI Info Suite 2 or make sure your zoom level and UI level are the same
I think I'd have to divorce one of my spouses for that first though, i dont want everything to fall apart
