The best I have is try removing half your mods and see if it still happens, and if it does, keep removing half the mods to narrow it down

Has anybody here tried the 64-bit mode yet? I'm having trouble with 32-bit now as I'm trying to use too many mods...

Most mods do. You can see on the mod description and file description if they have a separate version just for the beta (1.5.5) that is 64bit.
Some mods won't work with the beta, and SMAPI tells you about a lot of those.
To me it looks like a compatibility issue. But I could be wrong
It probably is, but everything is working fine so it's just a bit annoying, otherwise it's fine

but the smapi.installer.dll file is there
So I've noticed that if my UI and Zoom aren't at the same level, that using UIs is funky. Are there newer zoom mods that fix this?

Depends on the UI mods you're using. UI Info Suite has a version 2 that is only on Github that has that fixed

Correct! I also have a new pretty powerful gaming laptop. I also use One Day at a Time which automatically closes my game after 1 day to take a break to stave off OOMs 
I got OOMs twice before switching to only playing 1 day at a time
then booting the game again
but I just added RSV so hopefully playing 1 day at a time continues to be the trick huhu
I do have some lags and skips, I just refuse to trim my modlist further

You can but it's not recommended. The install guide includes instructions for that, there's extra steps

Every player has a log. Every time SMAPI is launched, a log is created

We already did that when playing the game
We tried to move animals from deluxe barn to normal barn and vice versa

What is the problem with my smapi? Regular smapi 3.12.7 installs just fine, but beta version 3.13.0 won't run the installer

Cheating is subjective. Are you in a competition or challenge or multiplayer?
This is incorrect. The log will tell us what mods you have, which is critical to troubleshooting, it will tell us what game version and SMAPI version you're running, as well as any potential warnings or errors.

It is at the minimum considered polite to ask. Generally speaking, you shouldn't re-upload other people's mods anywhere. You could release a translation file that people can put into the mod if they already have the mod files.

Hehe I only recommend talking to Kaya first in this case because she may be interested in including the translation as part of the mod with credit for translations, so it'd be ideal to have a conversation about it before uploading. It's also like you said, just polite to talk about it first

well to be honest it kinda makes sense, I thought the items disappeared at random but they may have been disappearing when the furnace or whatever machine attempted to put items in the chest, which makes more sense than randomness, I've added DGAutomate and I'll see how it does, I really appreciate the input โค๏ธ

Cuz I want to make it grandpa's farm instead of forest farm
It's PyTK, even if I have only 20 mods, all simple utility mods with PyTK in there, it still takes like 5 minutes to load anything, but with PyTK out, it takes not even a minute
You're probably going to need the mod "reset terrain features"

Make a new save. I believe the only way you could reset your farm is by save editing and that is very, very risky business, as Grandpa's farm replaces the standard map
So you would have to edit your save to be the standard map instead of the forest

Trying to change your farm type via save editing will probably screw your save up

I'm new to it but there any punishment from steam for using mods in game? I found mods which files I need to change into game files (more hairs, bigger greenhouse ect.)?
Its not problem. You can put only one / half
Do not use XNB mods, it can mess up your game. Use Smapi and it's mods, but no, Steam doesn't punish you for using them. But it won't give you achievements unless you input the correct launching prompt into the game's properties which is given when you install Smapi ( Copy and paste the entire text, quotes included, and paste that in the Launch Options under the game's properties )
XNB mods are mods that directly replace the game's files, can cause major issues whenever the game updates. Smapi mods don't do that and can be easily removed at any time
I hope PyTK gets an official update soon, one that will hopefully end this horrid, horrid load times caused by it

If it's purely cosmetic, it's fine if only one person has the mods or they can have different mods. If it affects gameplay, NPCs, add items, etc, then all players must have the same mods and the same versions

You can use it, but it's fine to use the latest 1.5.4 Smapi version and the 1.5.4 version of the game
Yes, it's easy. You don't need anything fancy, just make sure everyone has the same mods and start up multiplayer ( By clicking Co-op on the menu ) like normal. The host will have a code generate for the game session, and you type in that code to get into the farm

Non modded players can join a modded farm for MP, but it's not recommended unless, again, it's only cosmetics, as it can cause weeeird issues for the non modded player

For mod creators, see https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Editing_XNB_files for help unpacking & editing them (including for use with Content Patcher).
If you still want to use XNBs, even though it can cause serious issues, then go ahead, but there's a reason they're not recommended
A lot of XNB mods have content patcher versions thanks to unofficial updates, just need to look under the "posts" tab on the mod's Nexus page

Look in the save backups folder in your Stardew Valley area, Smapi's Save Backup mod keeps a handful of backups and puts them in a folder

Hi, just wondering did someone manage to make the UI info suite mod work on android or is there an alternative similar to the UI info suite mod compatible with android ?
Go to the Nexus page for it, go under Old Files, and search for one that was uploaded before December 20th 2020, preferably the very last one uploaded before then
So only a specific version of the mod works i presume

There are individual mods for its features though, depending on your interest, that may work on Android. Stardew Notifications, NPC Map Locations, Better Ranching, and Data Layers come to mind
December 20th is when 1.5 came out for PC, so most mods before that date should work on mobile, but, I'm not a mobile player myself so I don't know which mods simply just don't work with mobile ;;
No worries, I just have a vague memory that even before 1.5, UI Info Suite wasn't working for Android players

Hi there! I've been having a little issue with my mods maybe conflicting. I'm getting on the smapi log "11:53:03 WARN SpaceCore ERROR: Invalid command: " when I try to enter in the library after 1 pm. Hi there strobe! I tried it only twice. When I go into the library, elliott is in there reading a book (even though he didn't walk in) and it's playing a cut scene song, but I can't skip it. It's softlocked, and I have to force quit
Did you want me to try it again? Let me know what I should do, and I'll work on it!
This might not be the answer you wanna hear but if its reproducible -> take out half your mods and try it out, and then try the other half and so on until you figure out which mod is causing the problem

it seems to be incompatible with multiple spouses in some way

I have a modded save I've been playing on. There's a mod I want to remove from my mods folder, if I go back to the save without the mod nothing should break right? It's just a content patcher mod that changes some portraits and dialogue
if its a cp mod 99.9% sure that it should just work fine

In the mean time you could also check out Diverse Stardew on nexus ModDrop! It's highly configurable and has options for the vanilla version of characters with seasonal outfits, as well as diverse versions of the characters with seasonal outfits
in my case it's weird bc I'm trying to use another custom portait for the wizard for SVE but even though i deleted the other portaits it only changes sometimes and the sprite remains unchanged

I don't know about SVE Diverse (Didn't even know that existed), but in DSV all the characters can be toggled on or off through the config. You don't need to delete folders or files.

All this is to speed up my progress a little in the beginning, and I think it's going alright so far! Still a bit challenging in terms of monies but now I just hang out with NPCs

In terms of cheat mods that aren't too much cheating in my book, I like the Skull Cavern Elevator. I've never been all that excited about combat, so I don't actually leverage it very much, it just makes Skull Cavern less annoying for me.

I got this a lot when I used to use SVE. It's a huge mod, so it's not too surprising for it to cause those sorts of problems. I usually just wait a couple minutes when the game freezes, and it fixes itself.

Hello! I have spent over 12 hours of my day trying to figure out this issue. I am using a MacBook Air. I decided to try Stardew Valley Expanded, so I followed all the instructions, watched YouTube videos, and I cannot for the life of me get it to work. Earlier I was getting a black screen. Now nothing happens. Just says not responding. Also I have no errors in the terminal window. I am totally lost and would appreciate any and all help

I have Rosetta. I tried running the game in beta and it runs but without mods.

Ok, I unfortunately am not familiar with Mac (I play on Windows), but I have seen the suggestions for the M1 Mac folks to try rosetta / switching to the beta.
If SMAPI isn't working properly, it makes sense that the ErrorLogs folder isn't showing up

The beta adds various features and tweaks that will help modders. It also makes the game 64bit.
Right now, the stable version of the game only has access to 3(?)GB of RAM. This can cause errors for people who use a lot of mods. Adding 64bit support will allow the game access to as much RAM as your computer has, which will solve OOM errors and game crashes for a lot of people.

As silly as this sounds, if this doesn't happen every time, you could try reloading the game. A few min ago I had a bunch of similar errors for a CP mod that was previously working, so I quit and reloaded, and the issue was gone

(It's hard to guess at numbers anyway, even if this weren't a channel dominated mostly by problems (vs people saying "it works, no issues!").
Nexus has a much larger userbase, so it probably has a ton of Vortex users vs ModDrop. (More people = more problems.)
People that just use Vortex by default are probably less experienced in general as well as for Stardew, vs people that use ModDrop are more likely to have found it after getting help or getting familiar with the modding community. (More newbies = more problems.)

That doesn't mean it's not objectively worse in some way(s), or make anyone's observations untrue though, just like the general observations that people seem to have fewer problems with ModDrop don't mean your own experiences are invalidated :) Everyone is just trying to help not only the person having troubles, but also the people trying to help them by trying to limit the amount of trouble they can run into based on collective experience, if that makes sense :P That unfortunately does not mean "trouble-free", haha. )

If you mean the Jungle Temple and City Bus demos for TMXL, those weren't ever really meant to be used on the player-side, anyway. They were just example packs.

Jungle Temple and City Bus has never come with SVE, but it was an optional file on the TMXL page, which was/is required for SVE. It is now in old files https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1820?tab=files (but should not be downloaded, and was not ever needed for SVE).

In this case it's from extracting directly into the Mods folder vs taking out the mod inside. So you end up with huge long folder names (sometimes with subfolders) like this: Mods\Json Assets 1.9.1-1720-1-9-1-1631410388\JsonAssets)
It should just be Mods\JsonAssets\manifest.json for example.

When you go to extract the mods, do "extract here" not "extract to -folder-"
For folders already extracted, you can just rename the folder to take out the trailing numbers
Extracting to gives it an insanely long name and then has the mod's actual folder inside of that folder, pretty much tripling the name length
(Cleaning up your mod folder will be a pain right now, but it will be so much tidier and easier to update in the future since the folder names will match ๐ )

(I usually just do this, except I download too many things at once and set them all to open when done, so my screen fills up with little archives I try to see my Mods folder around :D )
opening the zip file = unzipping it to see inside
then i drag taht file to my mods right?
Since it's already unzipped, you could drag for example TMXLoader out from inside TMXL Map Toolkit-1820-1-22-1-1627473427 so it sits directly in your Mods folder (with all the mods like that) and then delete the ones with all the numbers at the end, or you could just wipe it and do it neatly from the start.
I do this manually one at a time and it's why I hate updating my mods. Also that I need to remember if I made any personal tweaks before installing that update ๐

Ye Windows sometimes creates a temp file like that while downloading stuff, no idea why
i'll probably add a few hidden passages to places, but currently my maps have been quite open, and the mountain currently has many different routes, so you can move pretty quickly through places

I think Lemur was cautioning you because of the shortcuts mention (like you said you might have hidden passages to places). If you included warps to another location you can have all your NPCs piling along Robin's path to the beach or something :D
So let's say for example I have a secret entrance to the sewers in east scarp...

Don't worry too much about it until you get your shortcuts in place though.
By then 1.5.5 will prob be out.
It also makes for hilarious bugs.

I think that would be both confusing (new "types" of information to hope people notice the version for) and a pain to track (right now everything for the beta is tracked on one page, which gets updated when new things are added or old things are changed. If you put all this information everywhere in the "live" pages, you also have to edit those repeatedly whenever that information changes).

Yeah, before all the crashing, everything was working perfectly. Then a mod was a bit werid, (UI Info Suite) and I reinstalled it. Then it started crashing
If you temporarily rename your Mods folder to anything but Mods, are you able to load your save? (SMAPI will be out of sorts because of all the locations/NPCs and such it would have to remove, but as long as you don't save after that it will be fine.)
Here is hoping that just letting it have a final nap for a bit will just let it roll into loading this time ๐

Hey y'all. I am trying to use the OrangePie Wizard and Marlon mod, but in dialogue, some of the portraits don't show up; like any other portrait besides $0 and $1. Any pointers on this? portraiture version doesn't work, it won't swap between the portraits. I have also tried the content patcher version too... Even replacing the files in SVE itself causes the portraits to become this black bar in dialogue
(this is the last thing I need to troubleshoot in the mod pack and I really want to get it done before bed. lol)

Just to humor me because I am old and decrepit and can't get past my initial assumptions and no one is around to stop me, could you try:
- Restart your PC.
- Put the
Error Handlermod back in your temporary empty Mods folder. - Start the game, then click your save in the list.
- Go make a hot chocolate or something, to avert your gaze in case of shy computer.
- Check back in like 5 minutes.

In case of shy computer, like my laptop likes to get sometimes, keep it in windowed mode while testing out freezing. This will allow you to easily open something else and absolutely do not touch the game
Do not even touch it to check on it
Minimize whatever else you have open to give a brief glance, and then reopen whatever you have

Or - Uninstall SVE
Or - Play less days in a row before restarting.
You can also nab a bit more memory before going into SVEs custom music file and switching all the "preload"s to false.
