I solved it!!!
It did not appear in the smapi log, but there was a mode that required an update. In my case, the biggest problems were east scarp and ui info suite.
You can download a new version of the file from the east scarp (east scarpe) community.
And in the case of ui info suite, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1150?tab=posts is distributing files that support win-64bit.
I think we need to wait and see... There is no problem in storing save files and bringing up save files, which have previously occurred.

It seems they have a TMXL content pack installed which references a custom GameLocation subclass, but that class wasn't found (and TMXL doesn't handle it very well). Possibly related is that I see some SVE content packs installed, but I don't see the Stardew Valley Expanded C# mod.

@versed ice Did you recently update some mods which transitioned from Json Assets to Dynamic Game Assets (like PPJA)? It seems like the transition might leave some of the old Json Assets recipes/etc in the save (or possibly it's a bug in DGA); ideally it'd be something for spacechase to look into.

The 1.5.5 update should be fine; I think it's mainly the JA => DGA transition that's still a bit rough.

DGA only works in beta afaik... I was really impressed by the number of characters who love the cookies make with weeds! 😆

are you sure you have content patcher, tmxl map toolkit, pytk, json assets, and farm type manager installed?
Hi, I'm relatively new to modding Stardew Valley, I found a modpack I'm trying to get working and I've run into "this mod failed in the GameLoop.UpdateTicked event" particularly to do with TMXL. I did some searching myself and others had a similar issue which was resolved by reinstalling SDE/SDVE, although that didn't change anything for me.
I use Vortex Mod Manager, and I've installed all of my mods this way except for Artisan Valley and PPJA which I put directly into the game directory's mods folder.
I have some 'redundant mods' according to Vortex, and I did my best to resolve a couple of file conflicts within Vortex, but I can't guarantee I set it up correctly.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated. :)

Looks like you don't have Content Patcher, PyTK, TMXL, etc in your mods folder at all, even in loose-files zip formats
they need to go in C:\Users\Shanessa\Documents\download\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods

I have them in a folder within that folder 😩 and none of the other ones in there are acting up

Documents is an odd place for steam games. Did you do that intentionally? I'm wondering if you have another SDV folder in Program Files. 
oh yeah if you have multiple SDV folders you may have put your mods in the wrong one!

Hey y'all, anyone know of a really good farm map mod? All those ones I can find are either really huge (I want a normal size) or have little bugs in them because they haven't been updated for years.
The only other thing I know to do is take a picture of your mods folder for us. If we can't puzzle it out from that, you may need to start from scratch.

It can, yes.
if you're on the version of SMAPI below 3.13 and not on the unofficial 64-bit patch, you should update them! if you're on the beta (which uses 3.13) you should get the versions of the mods that say beta version
(if you meant that)
most mods should be working with 3.12.6+, even the ones that were created for 3.13 in the first place
(at least pathos' mods do)

1.5.4 is where you're on if didn't change the settings in steam
unofficial 64-bit patch will be deprecated once 1.5.5 comes out of beta

Might have unzipped some of them wrong I reckon, because the conflicts are to do with mods which don't have their manifest.json

I tried to get 7zip to do the work for me, they should all be unzipped but that might have caused some issues
didn't want to manually unpack every single mod folder if I could help it ;-;
What I recommend doing is opening up the .zip, putting my cursor on top of the folder and just drag it into the Mods folder

Okay, so I have moved all of the unzipped folders to my mods folder, the ones I'm not sure on are Custom NPC Exclusions, Custom Music, and Custom NPC Music: this is because SDE comes with these folders, so I am not sure if I should overwrite them. If this information is on the relevant mods' Nexus page, I apologize as I couldn't find it.
Feels like a stupid question honestly, It looks to me as though it just comes with them, the exception being that Custom Music comes with a config file that isn't present in the SDE version SDE comes with a config file not present in the mod download for Custom Music

that Lemon Object.png error is likely due to Fruits and Veggies for JsonAssets needing an update.
you’re missing bugnet for one of your mods, and the lemon thing might be a missing file as the log says? check your JA more trees > objects > lemon folder
Yeah, the bugnet is missing because it isn't mentioned in the modpack list I'm using, and it comes packaged with the mega pack

I had trouble with the Back button disappearing in the Co-op menu and it would eventually come back but now it just doesn't lol.
Hmm I see you have Entoarox Modding Utilities installed but nothing that requires it. You can remove that.
The last error says An item with the same key has already been added, but typically you only see that in relation to JA adding duplicates and there's a big red wall of death accompanying it.
I do also see errors related to 2 save files but I don't know what they mean

Yea a different person had that same key error and someone suggested it might be a corrupted save but we didn't resolve it

I want to say yes, you can try searching nexus for babies, toddlers, and children, because some folks use different terms for that age range haha
yeah yours was the one I was meaning I think, and yes mac has an invisible _MAC something folder that generally gets sucked up into zip files made on mac, it's where mac stores folder settings and such, similar to desktop.ini in windows. That sort of thing definately shouldnt cause a flag, as it's incredibly common (and just about any mod you download on nexus produced by someone on a mac has that)
I usually just delete that stuff since I'm on Windows o.o

You can set up a mod group for SVE and one with no mods to still play vanilla

Ok couple things:
- in the Skipped mods section, you have Mermaid Replace Mariner, which didn't load. Delete that and download the file from here, and install this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/45fqdtrrkf8yzfd/Mermaid Replace Mariner - Content Patcher Ver.zip?dl=0
- also in the Skipped mods section, you have a save-backups folder. This folder shouldn't be inside Mods. You can move the contents into the proper save-backups folder, which is in the Stardew Valley folder, and then delete the one inside your Mods folder. From your earlier screenshot, you'll see the save-backups folder in the correct location. That's the one you want to keep.
- also in the Skipped mods section, you'll see Stack Everything didn't load because it's outdated. Follow the link in the error message to find the updated version, if it exists. If there isn't an updated version, delete the folder you have.
- you are using Automate and Producer Framework Mod (PFM), but you don't have PFMAutomate. This is a separate mod you can download from nexus, and the warning message contains a link to it for convenience.
- you didn't set the Steam launch options when installing SMAPI. I know this prevents you from getting achievements, but I'm not sure if it might also cause the co-op to not work correctly. This is thankfully simple to fix. Reinstall SMAPI, and when it finishes installing, you'll see text you need to copy into the Steam launch options. You can do that per this step of the installation guide https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Windows#Steam

Co-Op Help needed I am currently playing on the unofficial 64-bit version of the game due to PYTK. Is there anyway to co-op? I have tried to do so and it is only showing up as a local co-op only. I can't play through steam as I cannot connect because of smapi also. I can't update any of my mods due to the broken OFFICIAL PYTK. Please any help is appreciated.

Thanks for that. I did try that but unfortunately some of the mods I need can't be updated at this time with the unofficial pytk update running and some of the mods can't even run without using pytk unless I am also using BETA. I can't even switch to BETA again as my game crashed and burned the last time I tried. Deep woods and East Scarpe won't run on BETA
oh dear, Deep Woods might be dead forever then 😦 as I recall the author hasn't done updates in some time. Lemur's working on East Scarp though! I think she has a beta for testing (on the beta, heh) if you're interested in helping! @outer turret

Because you don't have Producer Framework Mod 🙂 It needs that one to load in the Artisan Valley Machine Goods.
So try putting that one in and see how fewer errors you get. If you've still got some, you can check for those next.

You need to go to the releases tab, its on the right side middle of the main 'page' of most mods
that goes for most anything on github, if the user has github create things for people to download it will end up there

Hmm, I'm not sure then. I know some people have been having problems with Portraiture but I haven't gone to the newer SMAPI or the beta. Did you try the unofficial patch Strobe did?

My fiance is trying to get East Scarp working again on his file. As for Deep woods, I am not sure if the moderator will make any further updates as people are still asking though for it. And if I could get anything running correctly for my files, I would update my game to beta again. But it was a nightmare the last time so I had to revert back to the older version again. But I am always willing to give it another try if the mods work

Oh huh, I see you're actually still on 1.5.4, so that may be your problem, actually, if some of these mods (like SMAPI) are updated for 1.5.5. I would check the ones that are giving errors and make sure you're not using one that's labeled for 1.5.5.

hey I don't really know how to use discord, I got it just to ask this question, I posted this in the Adopt n Skin posts section as well, but after redownloading Adopt n Skin I thought it had deleted the skins i had in my folder, so I redownloaded elle's retextures, then realized I had way too many files and they were all messed up so I deleted adopt and skin and redownloaded it. Now when I load my game my pets are all the default skins despite me having redownloaded adopt n skin, and when i try to reskin them using smapi they dont have animal ID's and so I am unable to reskin them @gathouria#9832

If you want to try asking on the SVE Discord, you can find it linked from the Stardew Valley Expanded subreddit (linked to from the wiki that Governor linked above)
Sorry for the chain of references, I wasn't sure what the linking to reddit policy is on here
But if you can't find anyone to help, I suggest the following steps:
- Remove all new mods you just installed
- Check to see if game launches now. If yes, proceed, if no, try launching the game without SMAPI just to check that your game still works. Then you'll have to try the next steps with all your mods instead of just your new ones.
- One by one, add in the new mods. Once you find the one that causes the issue, you can start to address it.
Note that you probably shouldn't try actually opening any modded save files if you load without SMAPI

it does however, have a silver lining that the beta is not affected (which is not super suprising, internally the beta is fairly significantly different on the sdv side)
It’s not all that bizarre I think: M1 is completely different architecture. It runs on a similar processor as the iPhone

Sometimes I've been having the problem of the game being unable to save after the SaveGameInfo file dissapears and it happens often now, is there a way I can force the game to retry saving while on the saving screen with the console?
I've put back the file while the game is running
But it didn't fix the issue
And I don't want to lose my progress from the day

I know we’re not allowed to re-upload other peoples mods to Nexus, but can we make a text file with links to all the mods used and upload our own mod packs? I’ve got a really fun mod pack that fits very well with the base game, basically expanding and enhancing it. Also, does anyone have any mods they recommend for a new mod pack I want to make? I’m looking for mods that really add beauty to the already beautiful game. Nature mods, recolor mods, furniture replacement mods, mods that don’t have to fit with the base game.
You could ask the mod authors about this. I have seen some who just want to be credited.

How is that still reuploading their mods? I could be missing something, but it’s just me uploading a text file with links to their mods. People would have to download the mods directly from them. All I’m doing is uploading a list with the links to the mods I used. I’m not uploading any mods myself.

almost all mods should be compatible with mac! check nexus, read descriptions and you should be good!

This is the one I have, im not sure why its not working. Its worked for the crops just fine. The forage item are the only things unaffected. Its weird, sadly tho sounds like i just have to live with it lol

Hi everyone! I just joined the server.
I have a problem with my mods, some time ago I unistalled Stardew Valley and since then my mods worked fine. Today I reinstalled it, updated SMAPI and all the other mods (which where in the folder \Stardew Valley\Mods), but when I run the game they just don't work and it looks like I don't even have them in the folder.
Does anyone know how to solve this? It would be great if someone could help me, thanks

smapi is looking for the mods in D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods
so they should be there
this is where they are, I think it's the right place. One of my thoghts was that the mods are too old, idk

So that "assets" folder there makes me think that a mod was installed directly into the Mod folder without a subfolder. You might have a manifest.json file in there that would cause other stuff to break. Double check to see if there is a wandering mod there and put it in a subfolder like the rest.
Even if the mods are old, they should still show up in your log.
looks like you have two (or more) steam libraries and two installations of stardew valley, unless there is some symlinking or other stuff going on. the path in your screenshot appears to start from D:\SteamLibrary, while the one in the log starts from D:\Steam

Not if you don't want a ton of errors.
I've found the best way to have the least amount of update headache is to update once a week even if I'm not playing and every time before I play.
another thing, is there a way to get all the SDVE mods in one click i dont really want to install like 10 files

I wonder if Alternative Textures might be causing issues. I haven't used AT myself so I don't know what all it is required for. I just know I've seen some people having issues with it in the past.
So I tried it again, opening the game and clicking on the smapi link to get the error report
but i end up at the download link instead again...

Like you have Custom NPC fixes twice
Fixing those duplicates will resolve a bunch of those errors.

You can just replace files when updating Tractor Mod, and it should preserve your config. If you want to do a clean install by deleting the original mod first, you can first copy out your config.json and then replace it when you've installed the new one.
Most mod authors are pretty good about not overwriting config.json.

Hey friends! My sister and I are running into another issue with SV Expanded. I host our farm on Grandpa's Farm. Whenever we progress in one of the Expanded quests, my sister will see the cutscenes but she can't interact with any of the changes that happen afterwards. Can only hosts interact with the SVE quest objects or does it sound like there's an issue here? We're kinda stumped 
SMAPI broke in a beta game update a couple days ago. Yours might just have downloaded the update yesterday?
seems it failed to read most mods in tools, such as spacecore and content patcher (which i removed and reinstalled/updated so likely linked to that)
Hello, can I get some help?
I've installed SMAPI correctly, as well as made a secondary mod group. My issue is I can't seem to understand how to enable steam overlay in the new mod group
I've followed the instructions on the wiki for the Windows (Steam) section but they don't make much sense to me. I'm not sure if the instructions are too vague or I'm too stupid (likely the latter)
Can someone help simplify this for me?

The only other thing I can think of is to shorten your file path C:\Users\Henry\Desktop\Game Folders\Stardew.Valley.v1.5.4\Stardew Valley (which is a weird file path btw) You could try renaming "Stardew.Valley.v1.5.4" to just "SDV" for starters.

I don't think we're allowed to talk about adult mods here.
My modded game isn't running as expected on a desktop. It's able to launch, and (technically) able to play. But it runs at an average of about 5 fps. I'm running the beta of both the game and SMAPI. None of my processes are pegging out, so I have no idea what's causing this. I've done some googling, and have tried repairing the xnb framework, and the other one on the wiki.
Are you using any mods that tend to be kind of intensive, like Content Patcher Animations, SVE, Diverse Stardew Valley, etc.?

Yes, but again, nothing on my PC is pegging. I had task manager and was watching. GPU didn't go above about 50%. CPU was around 15%. RAM was also at about 50%.
I had a similar issue. Not sure what my fps was, but I removed Content Patcher Animations and all of those mods and it fixed it. I only have issues occasionally now due to DSV.

Might try that first and see if it improves. You can rename the mods with a . so you don't have to actually delete them.

They either have the beach sprite mods in the other files or they haven't ever made beach sprites.
(I also really hope you aren't talking about replacing as in replacing SDV's game files.)
