ironically, Stephans "lots of crops" has become stephans "mostly deleted from the mod because of conflicts" crops

sounds like you might just need to drop it altogether then if its causing multiple conflicts
It's okay to drop it mid save if I don't have these crops, right?
Also it conflicts with PPJA which has watermelon, it's just not showing the duplicate item warning
as long as you dont have any in your inventory/chsts and don't have any planted you should be fine
ok so Tina, Vanessa and James were the issue then in the Stardew Kids Expansion mod? finally looked at the NAME of the mod lol

question: I have a mod called "Townies need food" which gives quests from town people to make food. Lately I noticed that I stopped getting those quests, and I can't find the mod on Nexus. Anyone know if they discontinued and deleted the mod?

ok so Life Cycle mod- the NPC's can be either dating, married or a family that's the choices
do i still get to romance them if i choose someone? Like, the mod says Abigail and Sebastion can be together but say i wanna romance Seb and have a family with him myself will i be able to, are things on a time-crunch now do i gotta make a move before a certain amount of time passes or i lose my chance?
just only install the ones you are interested in.
so if you want Sebatian for yourself, don't install that portion of it
If you have my Ranch Pack, it will work with Marnie/Lewis but you'll miss the "best" event

i can look into a mods specific folder- in this case, Life Cycle- and DELETE the indivisual folders for, again in this example the Seb x Abigail relationship and it won't harm the mod's overall performance? Or is there another way to individually un-install those specific folders in the mod?

instead of deleting, each couple has a config file you can altar to be true or false
also they r not my kids they r from the Stardew Kids Expansion mod. Adrien is Pierre's kid, Douglas is the Wizards, James and Vanessa have no mentioned family and i believe Tina was Robin's
(although I unlocked the kids then took their code and removed the relationships cos I ship Sebastian/Sam and Maru/Penny)

i got the config file thing to use in-game off the main menu but i don't see a true false thing- but u mean the config menu in the actual mod folder right.
im just reading whats on that mod's page haha sorry i haven't actually used it myself. though i might, i kinda like the idea of them hooking up
based on what it says on the page, my guess is each couple has a folder and within each folder is a config. at least thats what I'm guessing. I wont know until I install it myself
(in my defence I wanted them for compatibility with my COmmunity Center mod)

based on the "old files" section it looks like you had to mannually download each relationship so thats probably what they were referring to when they said "just download the ones you want" Now it seems like everythign is ine one single file. I'm installing it now to take a look at it 🙂

it doesn't actually say but I think you delete each section you don't want. Since some do contradict.
In Life Cycle mod - yes; the main folder has subfolders with possible relationships, and you can just delete the ones you don't want

Leah is an artist, Haley is a budding photographer- i think they'd fit together pretty nicely IMO

so, if you are a girl, Leah would say "ex girlfriend", if you are male, then "ex-boyfriend". well, she would say her/him in one line, i think
i feel dumb though, looking at the page again for Life Cycle, it does flat out state to delete the pairings you dont want then edit the remaining configs to be dating, married or family

it's usually recommended to not use mod managers with stardew valley because they can have strange problems with it
manual is pretty easy with stardew anyway (updating mods is more work though of course)

You may play with no issues, as the game treats it as if the mod is not even there

The only mods you have are SVE or SVE-related, so it's something about that.
As a #1 enemy of SVE, I can't help you here, since I don't even know how it works, you should ask someone who uses or someone who worked on SVE.

Anything that edits tools range requires Harmony, so sadly, you need to wait for the author to update or try doing it yourself

it should be mostly compatible, although if you are platonic with characters involved in the rival events, the blushing will be removed from their love portraits in those events as well (unless you turn that function off), and rival events involving someone you're platonically partnered with won't trigger (because the game considers you to be married). but rival events should trigger just fine for characters you're at 8+ hearts with regardless of whether you gifted the bouquet

Ok, I will ignore it as long as it works. I reported it. but the author was last on nexus in may. So i thought i would ask here. I wish there was another mod that let you set the range you want like that one does. All the others pick the ranges for you. But as long as it keeps working i will ignore the Red. Though it hurt me to do so. I hate SMAPI red.

Again, it all depends on the mods that you are using - for just vanilla stuff, Vibrant Pastoral covers a lot, even furniture and craftables
If you are using SVE, RSV or other expansion mods, then you need to check if a patch for them was made, since most of them use custom tilesheets.
ah, i dont use any content mods- and the only issue ive had with vibrant pastoral is that the kitchen altering mod i use isnt integrated and the colors are different

Well... you can't expect the author to integrate everything you could potentially use into their mod, you can make a patch yourself or disable the kitchen mod you use.
I don't think it's the issue with you being new, rather it's the issue of "it's SVE", mod too big to know everything about, you'll have better luck trying in SVE Discord
ironically its the person who made a building mod (i forget the name) that integrated nearly all the prominent recolors

download that, then, in vortex, switch to the tab labled 'extensions', drag the downloaded zip to the drop files thing on that screen
from there you should be able to just be able to point vortex to the stardew folder like you usually do

when you got the rabbit's foot version of the saloon event, were the SVE NPCs present? how about when you got the cold shoulder version?
they were present in the rabbits foot version
i wasn't looking in the cold shoulder version for Vincent didn't go to emily's hosue after that, just did the saloon one once i got confronted i quit the game XD i don't think i saw Vincent there, but to be FAIR I know that the SDVE NPC's are NOT compatible with the paltonic friendships mod- already learned that/checked the mod page
so only the Vanilla NPC's i go more than 8 hearts for romanceable/friendship ones that is So i don't know if Vincent would have been there, but in the rabbits foot version Olivia and Sophie WERE there gossiping with us.
although the SVE NPCs don't have their own platonic routes in PPaF, it does have a compatibility patch that should apply its changes to the jealousy event (block the no-rabbit's-foot version, slight edit to the rabbit's foot version) to the SVE version of that event
according to the patch summary, the SVE compatibility patch is being applied--all conditions met--so that leaves me still unsure of why the event isn't being properly nulled out
do you have any other mods that add custom NPCs?
i wonder if you're getting another mod's version of the non rabbit's foot event that isn't being nulled out because with SVE installed, only the SVE version is nulled out
It's ok, I only started using those late into my modding days, not understanding its powers 
didn't realize the SDVE NPC's had a patch for the platonic mod.
i guess the life cycle would add NPC's but that's not happening until the couples marry and have kids they're just BARELY in the dating phase
i should probably just have every version of the "no jealousy" patch null out all the versions

i removed the stardew kids expansion mod i had earlier kept getting james errors in the log was more trouble than it was worth IMO, so it isn't that one.

i had started a new day and got their relationships past the 8-heart mark but BEFORE marriage and when i was confronted with their cold shoulder i quit the game so starting the game will put me at the beginning of that day
but yea quit without saving- the save anyhwere/anytime mod LONG stopped being updated so i m stuck with a save at the start of every new day lol.

on reflection, the problem is probably that (i'm guessing) SVE updated its version of the jealousy event to add the wizard, so my patch no longer works
if that's the case, i'll update sometime this week to fix that
oh, nope, i was wrong, but i do think i figured out the problem
it looks like SVE now (or i just missed this before) only adds victor to the saloon event if you're dating. PPaF's compatibility patch nulls out the version of the event with Victor--but Amy has Platonic Relationships, making it possible to 10-heart Victor without dating. so i'm guessing what happened is that SVE didn't apply the patch to add Victor since they weren't dating him, the vanilla version of the event triggered instead, and PPaF didn't null the vanilla event because it detected SVE. so i just need to make it so that it also nulls the vanilla event when SVE is installed
I have tried several different farm maps and have tried with only the needed mods for SDV Expanded and have the same issue no matter what I do. Everything is up to date so long as there is an updated version posted. I can not place things on my farms like sprinkles, stepping stones, etc. They just disappear. looks like you removed SVE and since you don't have the ErrorHandler mod that smapi installs the game crashes @storm rivet reinstalling smapi should make it work (you're also missing some dependencies for other mods)

you can try with just removing portraiture, unsure if that's whats causing those patches to fail or not, but regardless, DCBurger's High Res Portrait Mod' is why it's crashing, it's trying to patch the portrait png to be larger than it initially is, which CP says..no.

yeah, something is filling it with errors. you can relaunch the game and try to close it before the log gets too big. or upload a partial log, copying from the top of the log to the first errors

is there a way to just replace the normal stardew valley steam folder with this one? since this one is just in content, and then an app_numbers and depot_numbers folder

you copy the launch options the same was as you did the other one
technically you can move the depot folder anywhere (but not into the normal steam 32 bit folder, steam will overwrite and eat your folder if you do that), but you can set launch options to load the smapi in that folder the same way you would have done it for the normal one

and i put that in place of the other launch option in the stardew valley properties?

probably get less screen tearing with vsync on
vsync locks the rate the screen is updated to an uptick of your monitor refresh rate, which usually gets rid of screen 'tearing' when faster moving things are on screen

like, vsync on a 60hz monitor will keep things from going beyond 60, and force things down to 30 or sometimes 45
that explains why when i only had a 60hz monitor in the past i got low fps sometimes in easy-performance games

vortex isn't recommended for mods, it's known to mess up mods

For Automate in particular, the config lets you change the update interval of automating. You can make it longer to see if that helps. iirc the default is set to 60, you could try 120 or 180
i mean im on day 4 of year 1 spring, i dont even have anything automating yet

Oki nothing is standing out to me as the likely culprit of sudden lag. However, I do see a couple other things:
- you have Tool Upgrade Delivery Service. Is that working fine for you? That mod usually has issues with Mail Framework Mod (MFM) so we recommend Mail Services Mod instead, which is the successor to Tool Upgrade Delivery.
- the unofficial update you have to Loved Labels is not loading. If that's the latest version, you may be interested in Better Ranching, which includes Loved Labels features, and a couple others.
- Content Patcher (CP) says 2 mods want to change the cellar: 5 Floors Cellar and Cleaner Cellar. You'll need to choose only 1.
- CP says 2 mods want to change the greenhouse: Greater Greenhouse and Immersive Farm 2 Remastered. You'll need to choose only 1. SVE should have instructions on how to use a different greenhouse mod.
i don't need anything automated either for the lag from pfmautomate to happen. (180 in automate's automationinterval is still only 3 seconds btw)

SpaceCore\assets because it's an empty Vortex folder (is the mod disabled in Vortex?). this seems to be the problem. reinstalling spacecore might fix it @dire fractal

hello guys, my smapi is full of mods, which makes the game take a while to open. I noticed watching the console that most of the loading time is with the custom musics... is there a way to disable or prevent the custom music from loading without breaking the game/mods?
so maybe the game loads faster
You can open the CM packs' content.jsons and change "Preload": true, ones to "Preload": false

Hello, is this the place I can ask for help? I definitely had a System.OutOfMemoryException (and have read the wiki guide), but there were a ton of other errors first. Is anyone able to help me with what else has gone wrong? I have a lot of mods active and am happy to reduce those, just not sure what the trouble makers are

I recently spent hours updating everything, removing some mods (adding new ones...) and had finally started a new game. This happened on day 7 after no problems before then

Hi! I am super new to mods, so please forgive my dumb. Can I use the SVE on mobile? I downloaded everything (farm manager, spacecore, etc), opened up the game and got a lot of errors. Looking back thru, a lot of the mods say I need SMAPI 3.12+, but the only one I can find for mobile is 3.9. All the help I can find is from 2 years ago and I'm not sure if it still works?

When you install Smapi, it gives the thing that you're supposed to post in Steam there. It's different than what's listed on the Wiki, so I recommend just copying Smapi's line directly for it
