Stardew keep crashing when I try to load the farm I am using for SVE. Here is the mods I have, most are for SVE others are just for convenience. I already checked on the log thing to see if there's any errors and it came up with no errors, though I'm thinking it could be the NPC map locations that's causing it to crash. But I wanted to get a second opinion about it.

has anyone else been having issues with the save anywhere mod?
Save Anywhere is extremely buggy, to my knowledge, since SDV does a lot of stuff under the hood during the normal end-of-day save process which breaks in Save Anywhere

Also be for it crash and gave me all those errors, I had tried to open my save that I had been playing on with sve and as it was on the loading screen to start the day the game crashed and then reopened back on the main menu and then it fully crashed and then I saw all those errors and came to ask for help here.

Not necessarily too many (I used to run nearly 800 mods or something, back when I actually played π ), but you've got a lot of heavy hitters in there - SVE in particular is notoriously performance-heavy, especially when you're trying to run RSV, East Scarpe, and a bunch of custom NPCs on top of it

Vioxy, both of those logs are saying that you need to update SMAPI, CP, and a few other frameworks. The manifest errors and empty folder errors you're getting are most likely because things are installed incorrectly
i could have sworn there was a mod out there that had a castle or something to the east
like wastelands or something
I think that's SVE, it adds Castle Village as a location as part of its Adventurer's Guild storyline
only the exterior though, for now. They plan to make it a visitable location but that won't happen for a while
now i wonder what mods to give the chop
But yeah, betafroggg, SVE is gonna be the heaviest one for performance in your mod list. Personally I would recommend dropping that as 1) it's heavy, 2) it's incompatible with or breaks a lot of other interesting mods because it edits things it really doesn't need to, and 3) isn't that well-written anyway, but if your heart's set on keeping it, then probably Zuzu City & WttDR would be the next two heavy ones

A new set of mods makes the game feel new. π
Or try a new kind of playstyle and get mods to suit. Like a no-buying-seeds run, where you rely on the mod Better Mixed Seeds to get what you need.

SVE is awesome for a playthrough. I don't like to use it again after that though; I like new things.
^Can recommend a no-buying-seeds run! π That's good fun with a combination of Seed Shortage, Better Mixed Seeds, Pests & Compost (if you want it more challenging), and a bunch of new crop mods
Ancient Seeds is popular. π
Or decide you want to go rancher if you never do π€·ββοΈ
Completely throws off all the predicted patterns of when to buy seeds and profit calculations because you get whatever random crops you get

In the interests of full disclosure, Diverse Stardew Valley with Seasonal Outfits (in case you'd looked into that at some point) does tend to cause lag on smaller machines (though it runs fine on my laptop, so it's not like it needs a top of the line PC or anything) but we've got a lightweight version too π

Hi guys, for some reason the steam overlay (and therefore the achievements, too) doesn't work on my stardew valley again. I'm starting with a couple mods via vortex and IIRC adding the SteamAPPId in the environment variables setting should enable it, but it doesn't -.-

It does, but be warned that since they're both fairly large mods, running them together will be more taxing on your computer

Yes, but same thing. Mods that add new locations tend to be a little heavier on performance than other types of mods
SVE by itself though is going to be heavy on performance because it makes a lot of edits in a lot of different places
Also for the record, most mods will have in their mod description whether or not they're compatible with SVE, since it's such a common question π
More mods = slower load time + OOM crash in some point + occasionally hating oneself π

cause for me the lack of steam overlay usually meant I didn't bother with it and started the game separately

Only very slightly! You can have two Mods folders, one with your SP mods & one with your MP mods, and just rename the one you're not using at the time
i know, i did that for a while before starting with vortex...
SMAPI doesn't care how many folders you have in the installation location as long as it detects one Mods folder
Personally I feel like the slight inconvenience of renaming a folder is worth not having to deal with the hassle of Vortex π

so I have shortcuts to start games with different mod loads
i know, but what i personally liked was the search for updates before launching the game and the updating of mods for all profiles/folders instead of manually copy/pasting the new stuff into the right folders...

^That's one of the issues with Vortex though - some mods require you to delete old versions before updating, and Vortex can't detect that

ok, i what i tried right now was shortening the start option to load the whole mod folder. starting smapi via steam, loading the mods. i got the steam overlay.
I get the feeling the mods path bit probably needs to be after command

Hey does anyone know why does SMAPI stops running? Yesterday I was playing sdv with the expanded mod and it was running smoothly, and I stopped playing for a few hours and when I open it back it says "smapi isn't responding". Back when I haven't downloaded the sve mod, this is pretty normal and all I have to do is to open it again and again until some red texts appear and then the game starts. But this time it won't work at all no matter how many times I've started it last night, and I'm trying again today but it's still not working. I did notice there's one file I forgot to download that the smapi says it's okay, I downloaded it just now but it still won't work.

not using one of the 2 primary farms means losing out on the questline for grampa's shed, dont think it effects much else

grampa's farm or immersive2, the 2 you download to replace the normal farm
you need to download them from the sve page, they both replace the basic farm map
its in the optional files of sve's nexus page
download either grandpa's farm, or immersive2, but only 1
i've only played on grandpa's so far, and i think it's a good one to start with

sve has the bluemoon vineyard left of the beach, too. just go from the village to the sea, you should see 2 ways there now. and another farm in the forest, south west to marnie's

Just before i realized there was an error, i opened the CJB Cheats menu. I couldn't switch to a different tab, like time, or warp locations, in it, and I couldn't close the menu. I had to force close the game.

Not 100% sure. That was the only issue I had in the game, and I think that was the only error I had, so assumed they were related

When looking at Ysabelle in the heart tab (relationship) it did register as a gift, since it shows up in her little tab.

first, everything is VERY outdated, please update smapi and your mods. second, in the collections tab, it doesnt matter what you donated, it only shows up there when you acquire the artifact (example: you got a fire quartz, but didnt donate it, it'll show up in your collections)
so you need to find these artifacts again (through treasure troves or artifact spots) and they should show up in there
Yeah I'm in the process of updating now, just having a bit of confusion updating SVE since it looks like a manual update is required
As for finding the artifacts again, is this the only way? Even if they were already found and donated?
with sve you just need to delete the old version (along with deleting custom music, custom npc fixes and custom npc exclusions) and dropping in the new version

nope, bjs time skipper is the only mod that sleeps through the days rather than setting the date, so things like random events can happen
tldr instructions: go into %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves and open the folder for the save you're using. move or delete two files, name_numbers and SaveGameInfo. then change the names of the remaining two files to remove the last four characters (_old)
