If it makes it easier for you two, one thing you can do is use separate โmodpacksโ for different saves. Have one file for your multiplayer game, and one file where your friend has all the mods that she wants.
E.g., a treasure chest.

the downloaded zip should be extracted somewhere else and then you run the installer script from it, the exact location doesn't matter really

i followed the directions but it looks like smapi has stopped launching when i start stardew valley and i dont know where to look to get it to open
and when i returned to the stardew valley exec thing to find that line again it was gone
am very confused and at a loss
maybe try reinstalling smapi and checking the file again
try it now cuz i dont see any other solution...sucks tho cuz it took me forever to actually install smapi properly the first time

I suppose it depends on what you'd want to do with it? You could for example get lots of custom crops via PPJA and spend oodles of money on those. Or get BFAV and get lots of custom animals and spend oodles of money on those.

i'm currently using the fishing made easy suite mod to.... make fishing easy ajsjskdkd anyway i was wondering if there's a mod to have easier fishing (not auto fishing, just easier than vanilla) but with the ability to get treasure automatically? fishing-made-easy-suite doesn't have any options for treasure and the other fishing mods i see with that option are autofishing/cheaty which im not looking for. im sorry if im not explaining this correctly

ahh yes sorry, i tried sending u mine and her log because, she re-installed SVE and deleted some mods i didnt have but theres still a black screen when she joins, but when she trys to make a log her google just kind of lags out i guess?

In short, all of it's options are toggleable, so you can still do fishing normally without auto-fishing while catching treasure chests, as an example. ๐

I've been playing SVE for a bit and I just learned about shear water bridge, is it automatically enabled with granpas farm or is that a setting I have to add when creating my save?

I accidentally cheated in sve crimson badlands
I was supposed to change the ftm monsters to 50 or something low but the monsters never showed up
I just reduce the amount of monsters because of lag
I don't know which amount should i set to reduce the lag while still spawning monsters

How do you guys handle it when your mods make it almost impossible to hit 100%? I have PPJA More Recipes added, and I can do almost everything except boba tea, which requires tapioca, which requires Artisan Valley, which means that if I want to make 100%, I need to install something else that sounds like it will add over two hundred MORE things I have to make before I can get 100%.

Trying to reskin existing farm animals as more "wild" creatures to fit my druid them. Found one that reskins pigs as foxes, and another that reskins cows as deer. Any others that people know?

Yes, the only 2 things to be careful about are 1) don't have super long folder names because there is a character limit to them. At a certain point SMAPI will just not load the mod, and it'll warn you. 2) remember how you grouped them, especially when updating. It's easy to accidentally end up with 2 copies of a mod, which makes them not load. When updating, make sure you're going to the same folder you put the mod in, so you only have 1 copy of the mod

tip for some people: dont uninstall/delete your mods if they dont work
hold onto them just in case, because you might want them later

Your friend has a problem with their installation of Stardew Aquarium. Have your friend reinstall that mod (it looks like they're missing a component).
I'm also not sure what's going on with Adopt n Skin there, but it's apparently having a problem with looking for assets\skins\BrownChicken\BrownChicken_1.png and I suspect that's what's causing the crash.
Check your set up to see if you have the file. I'd also confirm that the naming convention for that file lines up with what the Adopt n Skin mod description says.
Also have your friend reinstall DaisyNiko's tilesheets and Medieval Buildings because there appears to be an issue there too

Where to find EVERY Stardrop! This is something I have never legitimately accomplished in game.. Because as you will see it's very hard to actually collect them all. You want to try tho because finding them all will almost double your energy from what it starts at! Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always!

install SMAPI, then copy the entire stardew folder to elsewhere on that computer, and put mods in the new location of stardew

with code mods and smaller, simpler CP mods it's possible to mass unzip + overwrite with 7zip

since they don't generally change file structure at all, it's safe to just overwrite, and with 7zip (possibly some other unzipping software but i always use 7zip) you can put the zip files into your Mods folder, highlight them all, rightclick, and select "Extract Here" from the unzipping software's bit of the rightclick menu
and then say yes to overwriting all those files

OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. So today I started getting a strange error. I don't see any effect in the game, but it seems like something I should look into before it does. Any idea what could be causing it? Hello. My friend suddenly crashed and when she reopened, the game has put us back to the first day of spring. Yet all our progress and upgrades are still there. We only use a fishing mod and nothing else, is there a fix for this?
Is there a mod that changes the way villagers houses look? My farm currently has the overgrown cabins and stuff, but I want the whole town to have different houses/look.

Now this mod uses LFL as a prereq mod but from what I've heard from FlashShifter, LFL is currently incompatible with SVE for now
but its easy to overcome that
just download Romanceable Rasmodius (SVE Compatible)
open his assets and replace the asset that u find in the LFL folder in the Who's Portrait files with the new one and u got it

Then the first thing to do is download the "mod", unpack it and place it not in the "Mods" folder, but it's parent folder, "Stardew Valley"

it sounds like you may have put the mods in the wrong spot. Start by showing us your log, so we know that it's installed properly, and we can troubleshoot from there

hey @true dock I have a silly question about your Love of Cooking mod. I'm just starting to try it outโฆ how do I make just one baked potato instead of adding all nine of the potatoes in my fridge?? The usual stack-splitting methods don't seem to be working.
(At least I finally figured out I had to manually add ingredients or turn on that auto-add button and that's why just clicking on the icons wasn't cooking things ๐ )
Hi! it'll add all of your potatoes to the ingredients plate, but once you've pressed 'cook!' it'll ask how many you'd like to make

ehehe, sorry if it feels a bit obscure. it's always in my mind as such an obvious thing since i've spent hours and hours on it, but there really is nothing that says that's how it works!
there's a chance you've typoed when putting the launch options for SMAPI into Steam
so start by opening steam and re-entering those
i'm always looking at ways of making it more clear and smooth, so i'll cram this into my list of concepts to think on
(that said, it used to be more clear-ish originally since you could stack-split however many things you'd like onto the plates, but i suppose after you've tried cooking once you'd see how it works, so maybe it's not that bad how it is? even still..)

(I tried Autumn's Bounty and it wouldn't let me add pumpkin)
I like the concept a lot, I'm just floundering around figuring out how to actually use it after being so used to the vanilla cooking menu haha
The number of ingredients is based on your Frying Pan level, which you can upgrade from Clint!
or you can turn off CookingToolProgression in the config if you'd rather just cook stuff up โ๏ธ

i just recently installed the seasonal outfits mod (both the one for the base npcs and sve npcs) and whenever i load my save, it crashes and when I check the error log it says "error loading content/characters/marlonfay" but I've checked my mods folder and the file is definitely there, any idea of how to fix it?
this would depend on how the config files for those mods are set up. If the config files let your turn off individual files, do that. If not, use Customize Exterior. Don't just delete textures, because this would actually require rewriting the mod.

all my mods are up to date. every mod has its requirements. i've reinstalled smapi. content patcher. the actual XN graphics thing. nothing is working.
Have you verified your steam files? It looks like it might be a problem with the vanilla files.

If you're willing to learn how to write Content Patcher (CP) mods just to tweak this, that's one thing. The documentation for CP starts here: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Content_Patcher
But if you want to keep it simple, just use Customize Exterior.

You end up with two separate stardew valley games, with two separate installs of SMAPI, and two separate mod folders

Your save files are stored outside of the game folder, and both 32-bit and 64-bit stardew will use the same save files

i found out installing mods is more hectic than using them
I have 266 and the game crashes every 3rd-4th day when saving. :)
but closing and reopening the game after playing 2-3 days keeps the save going fine, just takes like 7-8 minutes to load! - trying out 64 bit today to see how that goes.
first time installing them, not as far as I know. Unless someone shares a modpack with you, and you just update from there.
there's things to keep mods up to date, but I don't use them because of instances where a mod updated and broke a different mod.

Does anybody use the Fruits and Veggies mod on multiplayer? When me and my friend play our fruits and veggies aren't in sync. Sometimes when I harvest one of the new fruits or veggies that she planted it'll pop up as a totally different item on my screen. or pop up as a seed from a different fruit but on her end it looks like i harvested the plant she put down.
