kinda doubt it but if there was a conflict between two graphics then maybe...
though i think in that case smapi should probably prioritize the graphic that's higher in the load order i would think? don't quote me though
well i do have earthy recolor and wayback so i know there are edits to the same buildings. I kinda wish there was a way to generate the way SMAPI loads mods as a PNG, then it'd be really easy to combine multiple overlapping CP mods into one
then i'd just sort of get smapi to, for example, generate townoutdoors once and then I'd have a singular mod that uses the same image everytime. Which I think would be easier to load?
i'm not really keen on programming stuff but maybe a wrye bash patch would help too? if it's possible?

i don't use the mini map sorry. But it might be something to do with not having the right recolours that match the mods you've got? Does it sometimes work perfectly for both SVE and RSV and just sometimes do a fail
ah ok. There an actual minimap you can get with NPC locations as well i think

as far as i know, there isn't a config specifically for mahogany trees, since it considers it just like all the other trees in game, i can link you to Pathos' reply about this issue if you'd like to know more, one sec :)

I think the real problem is that I have no idea where the original folder path was for the Linux version
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_413150\depot_413153
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_413150\depot_413153\StardewModdingAPI.exe" %command% is what you have to put in the launch options. Everything including the quotes and the %command%

if objects are dropped offscreen/out of the map, is there any way to pick them up? finally got around to updating sve, forgot I put a bunch of solar panels on the desert map, noclipped off screen with tractor mod to try to get them back and I think I pickaxed them successfully due to getting the sound effects but nothing's in my inventory
not that I know of. Try wearing two magnet rings and a magnet buff food?
otherwise 1) revert to the old sve or 2) just spawn in what you're missing

So I just figured out that mods work on Android today, and I'm a bit confused as to why and how the app is running on 3.6.7.1 when I know I got the "latest version"

to use mods on android you need to install versions of mods that were released prior to the 1.5 update, which means any mod version before the 20th of december 2020 should work
if you look on files on nexus and scroll to old files, look for the ones released on this date or before to be able to use them
Yeah, you need to roll back your version of Content Patcher. 1.23.0 is PC only.

how do i stop the loot chest mods i have (treasure chests expanded, fishing chests expanded, and overworld chests specifically) from giving me scythes? i have 3 scythes and do not need more
Huh, I've never gotten a tool from them. You should be able to add the scythe to the forbidden items list in the config for Advanced Loot, though?

Hiii, y'all, I'm having some trouble! I updated a bunch of mods, and it seems to have broken my game. A couple of things as well about the mods that I "haven't updated", I'm a bit unsure about using a beta version for one of the mods, and the other one is actually already updated. Good call on not updating to a beta, and yeah, it happens with outdated manifests for the other ones. As far as your error, it looks to be related to an issue with a missing tilesheet in SVE.

It's throwing an error because SVE wasn't loaded at all. Please see the 'skipped mods' section. π
SVE comes bundled with Custom NPC Fixes, CustomMusic & Custom NPC Exclusions. It looks like you have additionally copies of each of these installed, which is not allowing them to load, so SVE doesn't load either. π
Removing those mods should likely fix your issue.

Content Patcher will replace vanilla furniture. Custom Furniture will not, but it has a few quirks.

Well, if you're running the game through SMAPI, then that's normal.
If you want to run the vanilla game with no mods, go to the game folder and launch StardewValley rather than StardewModdingAPI.

i'm not familiar with custom furniture, but looking at the mod page it seems that the current version doesn't support the kind of furniture packs that go there
if those folders have manifest files inside them they should go into your Mods folder
look at the file path as well in the explorer window too, it should just be "CustomFurniture" and not nested in the other folder as well
well it doesn't probably matter in this case, but in general it's good practice for sure

@narrow kettle looks like boots getting affected by the json assets id shuffle. not sure if there is any other way than save editing to remove them from the game

also... can you type "Patch export Characters/schedules/Pam" into the smapi console, locate the outpit in the Patch Export folder (up there next to Mods and Content) and post the results there. That'll show whether her schedule is changed.

android is still on 1.4 version of SDV as far as i know, and can need older versions of mods to account for that

Yep. I'm excited to properly play once I figure out all the mods I want. It does NOT exit to Downtown Zuzu right now (if you have that mod installed). You have to modify a content file for that to work because map names got adjusted in Downtown Zuzu

Haven't looked super thoroughly yet, but I think the entire desert got redone one of the more recent SVE updates, so probably.

You have to run smapi once without mods for the mod folder to be created
after that, it will be a folder in your game directory

I got the bunnies & sheep too to have lots of wool to dye the fantastic colors you can make with Raff's mod. The cloth also has built in buffs of various types.
Unfortunately you can't take the next step and make clothes with it (I've been wondering how hard it actually would be to do that) other than maybe 2 or 3 dresses that are more a chemical production than a sewing one

Hmm, even after taking out the Love of Cooking mod it threw the same error, i am noticing that my partners play time says 27 hours whereas on my host file it's saying 29 hours
the error happens as soon as her game tries to join mine and it stays black screen and wont budge from there, usually we'd see the window notifying that she joins but it doesn't actually get that far
have you changed any mods or updated them?
nope, nothing changed with mods, we'd done a full year on that save, literally day 2 of spring and it just chucks that error, I'm going to start a new test save and see if they can join that one
so after creating a new farm, she can join straight away so something went wrong with our save file?

considering how big a hassle just changing a name is in the save file, I would think it would be very, very hard if possible at all. especially since you are not sure what was going wrong

im honestly not too sure, as this mod isnt only visual but also changes up a lot of the dialogue as far as i know, its still a better idea to make sure all players have the same mods to avoid errors!

actually the answer is nope as long as you're not the host. because cut scenes and things all play for individual players you can have a lot of mods on your end no one else needs
if you have something like a custom npc that comes with map changes i think that might cause some issues for people joining your game, but if you join and you have these extra map areas it can actually work. I'd vote not to put anything in those areas though. Things like marrying a custom npc no one else has is another question. But generally with something like turning clint into clarice there's no missing npc for other people so it's unlikely to break anything (in my personal experience)
not without getting your hands on a map editing program usually I think. Some maps might have config options but usually they don't
another might be getting rid of grass coloured tiles completely, but the results would cause more problems than it solves i think unless you really really really hate hoeable grass
There is that Map Editor mod that could be used... I say that with a kind of cringe though. I haven't used it before though I've stuck it into (and taken it out of ) my mod list on various occasions. If twas me, I'd just do a copy of my save file and try it on that instead of risking all on a mod that probly has the potential to tie things into knots

unfortunately running that amount of mods on an old laptop as you mentioned is gonna be hard, id recommend removing mods that you dont necessarily need (especially big ones). but theres no other fix for that afaik :(

Hi! I'm fairly new to the overall modding of stardew valley. I've already searched the internet for answers and I just wanted some reassurance and somebody to explain it easily. TBH, I haven't tried it out yet (installing smapi, using mods, and removing it), this is just a hypothetical question. Let's say that I wanted to remove smapi in the future, and reset the launch properties and stuff. Would I still be able to open my modded saved files using the vanilla launcher? Would it break the game and cause crashes, or it depends on which mods you used while playing on that modded saved file? For example, I would only use quality of life mods or inventory editor type of mods. It's not that game-breaking compared to expansion mods or overhaul mods, right? So I could still boot it up and the game would accept it as a vanilla type saved file.?

Most mods I encounter today are pretty much removable.
That said, there are some mods that during their installation, requires you to replace xnb files. You might need backup. Or just reinstall if the game breaks or something. This is minority or just old mods since now we have Content Patcher for loading/editing xnb files
An XNB mod replaces some of your game's .xnb files to change the game (unlike newer mods that go in your Mods folder). This is an older type of mod that's no longer recommended, and can cause a number of issues. See https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Using_XNB_mods for help using them (and a list of alternatives using Content Patcher), and https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Editing_XNB_files for help unpacking & editing them (including for use with Content Patcher).

it's chill. Like i said, check if smapi has save backups because those will be a lot easier to use. All you need to do is unzip them and put them in your save folder

@dire fractal The Android version of the game is quite a bit different from other ports and so needs a custom version of SMAPI. See https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Android for details on getting started.

Force save? No, don't believe so, and saving any other time than at night leads to a whole other mess of problems 
I feel like space core keeps hanging. We just finished the community center and went to take a break and it threw an error and I'm stuck at 'waiting for other players'
