i see you're running 64 bit stardew
which has a few perfomance issues especially on save load with large modpacks + spacecore, which can cause windows to think it's frozen
when really it's just in spacecore data reloading hell
any recommendations to remove mod i used in smapi log?
honestly, i'd just make sure not to click on stardew while it's loading and give it a few minutes
for some reason spacecore reloads its data hundreds of thousands of times on save load
Ah i see, its seems im not alone who wait 3-4 minute to open game and load my save game ๐
combined with a large mod loadout and 64-bit-stardew's currently reduced perfomance and save load can take over five minutes
speaking of spacecore oddities... I'm using the Magic mod, and periodically the altar loses it's glow & magic and reverts to just an altar. Any thoughts on what may be causing this?

Walk to the Desert Redux is a new update that overwrites the old Walk to the Desert Mod.
I never tried both of them tho
And its seems the redux version can connect to downtown zuzu mod ( but they are really alpha )

So there are other mods that keeps triggering SpaceCore, and that's beyond SpaceCore's ability to limit
yes, that's the visible symptoms
the root cause is that other mods that use SpaceCore triggers the save & load handler of SpaceCore
and SpaceCore doesn't (yet) have caching feature w.r.t. save/load so it just faithfully fulfills all those requests
on its own, SpaceCore does nothing.
JA is one of the mods that keeps triggering SpaceCore
Ultimately i think what pathos was getting at was that caching its data would make the thousands of requests sent to spacecore less of a horrific performance burn
regardless of whether it's on SC's own volition, it's still the reason for the performance loss
i like the massive understatement of describing reloading and deserializing a data file hundreds of thousands of times as "could be optimized a bit"
yep true.
but again SpaceCore on its own does not do save/load. it has no need to do that
it's being triggered by other mods that requests SpaceCore to do save/load.
it certainly can use much optimization, such as doing 'gathering' during save and serialize only once, and inversely implement 'caching' during load and deserialize only once as well, returning values as needed.
so it's an unfortunate combination of many mods leveraging SpaceCore's facility, and SpaceCore implementing it in a "naive" way
but in any case, as a 'base framework' for other mods, SpaceCore should probably be able to help optimize access patterns.
Wow... I just fixed the CC bus & went to desert... greatly changed & where's Skull Cavern? I'm afraid it may be a game breaker for me & SVE. 2 mods that I really don't want to give up used the original desert layout & now they are just zapped out of the picture

That looks like it might be workable... there's only the character himself, and his "kiosk" so not a big building.... Are the squares with the figures in them where you thought to put him?

@keen crow @orchid carbon The first error (FileNotFoundException for System.Xml) usually means .NET Framework isn't installed correctly, since that's part of the core framework; reinstalling .NET Framework usually fixes that. The second error means the internal/windows-install.exe file is missing, which usually happens when an antivirus is deleting it; temporarily disabling your antivirus, then redownloading & reinstalling SMAPI usually fixes that.

It is also possible to put something like scanning exception in the antivirus, so it won't remove the file causing you to have the error again

My antivirus always uninstalled my Aseprite, so I put it on the exception list

Spacechase largely stopped being involved in Stardew modding after 1.5 released and brought in UI scaling, so most of his UI elements are scaled based on your Zoom rather than UI scale.

I tried your mod (the Garden Beds) and when I tried to play smapi it said it didn't have DLL or Manifest

The manifest was in another folder inside that one, so I moved it up one level and it worked, but there was no dll
Sounds like you downloaded the source code rather than the mod: there's a zipped archive under 'assets' for each release on the Releases page

Looks like the latest archive has a dll packed, so you might have an antivirus (norton) removing it when you download? In any case there's another update on the way before long, just it's midnight now and i'm out tomorrow so it'll have to wait at least a day

- Minor Bug -
Has anyone else experience desync when using TimeSpeed in multiplayer games?
The mod works just fine as intended: as far as stopping time, changing speed, etc. (as host), but when my friends join, their time displayed is slightly faster than mine, and will loop around the same hour until I pass it (eg. they'll speed past me to 11:59 for a while, then restart at 11:00 and loop around until I've (the host) moved on to 12:00)
I believe the desync started when one of my friends entered a cutscene we weren't in (if it matters at all, specifically the intro cutscene to Ridgeside Village, where Lewis's older sister is teasing him).
EDIT: Would tick length factor into this?

I honestly wouldn't bother with Vortex at all for SDV, since mods are extremely easy to 'install'.
Just drop the manually downloaded files into the 'Mods' folder, and voilร !

Is the elevator system in the "starter" mine considered the same as in Skull Cavern?
I just hit bottom a while ago and glanced at the smapi screen... it had scrolled off all the mine levels, but it said SkullCavern Elevator in front of each of them
In Fact, the elevator only hits every 5 floors, and this was counting off each floor
just a weird little thing, but my game has been pulling a lot of them lately
The Skull Cavern Elevator mod doesn't affect the regular mine, but I've noticed it does do trace messages whenever I change floors in either one. I think it's just an informational thing because it's tracking all floors.
hmm, well I guess that's good, that it keeps track, don;t really know why, but .... now if it would only return you to your last floor if you quit in between the 5 counts I'd think that keeping track was useful
maybe its in case you pass out or are killed.. almost...so that a helpful stranger can find you

I have used it a lot in the past... I just disabled it due to a weird problem that probably has more to do with a conflict on my own mod list
up until that time it worked fine... mind you, sometimes it would miss the odd truffle if the pig produced one late in the day, but it missed very very few

well, I could sit a cheese maker nest to the grabbler and it would grab the milk, pass it to the cheese thing and then grab the cheese back, so yes, I would say it does.
now if you want to get all production line and have hundreds of machines hooked up, I have no idea how it would work

If you have one playthrough that's mod-free, just run Stardew without SMAPI. Mods will only affect the save(s) you run them on.
copy your original game and set it aside somewhere. Whenever you next sleep, the SVE info will be included. You can remove SVE and go back to Vanilla, but there might be a few hitches

I can't remember when that version came out, but in my last save game I had pigs & an autograbber from Marnie and it definately harvested truffles
can also use SMAPI's "Mod Groups" feature
I took a peek at the schedule data for the NPC. Looks like they'll hang out behind the oasis on the SVE desert map, but aren't unreachable. I think it would be easier if the mod author added a patch changing the one desert schedule instead of me changing the oasis location if their mod is installed. I'll shoot them a message on Nexus asking if I can patch their NPC's schedule with permissions though.
