hey yalls, idk how to get this mod to work (pridematic shards, all prismatic shards are replaced with pride flags uwu). these are the content (left) and config (right) folders. Is it possible to have all of them in one save, rather than choosing just one to reskin prismatic shards?

surely in that case the pride flags would just. interfere with one another since you cant have two textures for a single item?

Hey guys, played Stardew Valley with some mods and got an OutOfMemory exeption while doing so. Now when i to restart the game with smapi i only get a white screen and windows is saying no response. Running the game without smapi workes fine, but as soon as i try to launch with smapi the game won't load.
Tried reinstalling DirectX, restarting my pc. Deleted the startup_preferences several times and tried verifying the gamefiles through steam and removed all mods but the ones that came with smapi.

I don't believe so... I had a thought to tie it in to https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2178 at one point, but i never got around to looking into it.

no problem! i'd imagine you'd need multiple ID's for the prismatic shard types, so it could be something the creator overlooked since you'd have to add an extra prismatic shard for each flag
I've got one that makes it look nice: the junimo sundial, but it would be nice if it had other functions too. Like pausing time or something.
My main issue with the gold clock is you get it so late ingame you've basically finished playing.
pretty much. i think also it's just. not worth the price,, it's so expensive for something you never really worry about. people wouldn't get it if it wasnt for 100% completion

dang it, set all of the values in the config to all of the names of the flags but it wouldn't allow it ๐ฆ does anyone know if/how i could make it so there are multiple versions of the prismatic shard? kind of like how the more gems mod has variations of diamonds, topaz, etc.

maybe talk to someone in #making-mods-general ? it should be a case of adding enough prismatic shards for each flag (lets say there's 5 flags, add 4 more prismatic shards, texture + name them accordingly, you only need 4 since the original one can be retextured and renamed. then give each of the shards an equal chance of dropping if a prismatic shard is found)

Do you know what it means for a field to lie fallow? It means during crop rotation you give it a season of not growing anything at all, so the soil can replenish its nutrients and then (literally) be more productive the season after.

Aslo, there's been a CRAZY amount of stuff added just since 1.12.
So if you want MORE STUFF, then yes, it's worth it. ๐ If you're more particular, check the notes.
Also, there are some other great expansions to look into, especially Ridgeside Village and East Scarpe.

I think they mentioned being busy with life, I wouldn't lose hope on updates completely. Plus the foliage version still slaps.
For SFR in particular I believe it was also an asset permission issue. But they could potentially change the mod to use different assets and upload the mod again

i paired my mods down to 22 yesterday and switched to x64. running so nicely now

Crop Transplant Mod will! You have to turn on the setting and still plant them on the farm, then move them to wherever you want, though.

Yeah, that should work. Since you're doing the manual method of mod management, this would be the way to transfer the mod files to the new system.

If you meant the log is just too big you should be able to trim the errors or sections that are looping before dumping it in the parser

Ok, so im trying to install the linux version of sv to patch it into the 64 bit version, but its not working. I've tried downloading it through both the steam console and depotdownloader. I feel depotdownloader would work if i knew what i was doing though. reddit didnt help me so ๐ฆ

why specific chests? other chests are ok? what are you trying to add?

They are all wooden chests
But some of the wood chests don't let me add items to existing stacks while others do. Items vary, but they are items within that chest and it doesn't add them.
So, I have iridium ore in my inventory. I try to add it to my chest that I keep all of my ore and bars in using the "add to existing stacks" button when the chest is open. The item doesn't leave my inventory and the UI bugs out, changing the magnification of the actual window while I am pushing the button.
Well... if those chests were involved with the SVE forage in some way, they might simply be buggered
If it is not too heartbreaking, I'd just dump the chests

sometimes buttons bug out if you have mismatching on the levels

well, I meant 100% from the game's point of view, but if it didn't have any effect, that wasn't the problem

Not 30, but it takes a couple of minutes, yeah. The only way i know is to get rid of mods, or possibly don't pre-load Custom Music stuff.

64 bit actually seems to have slightly longer loading times in my experience. How many mods is that in number? I assume you've got some big expansions like SVE and Ridgeside?

I have a question for mods. I have a whole wack of mods including the expanded. I play with my partner and we were able to play before and then I had to update expanded and now his game crashes every time he joins my co op game. Any ideas?

ooo... that's a good question... I kind of doubt it, because the OSes are pretty different, but you'd need to talk to a Mac whiz to get a better idea.
There might be some way to run it through a third party program, but unless it was a really important save, that would be quite a chore. Probly easier to just start over

Itโs generally a good idea to keep your mods up to date (Android players disregard), mod authors donโt tend to make arbitrary changes.

Was told to bring this in here, since I have mods - every time I try to sleep/save, I end up getting a blank black screen in the game window instead, with normal game sounds continuing on, rather than the save screen. I've updated every mod that I could find updates for, and I've tried shutting down the game, and Steam entirely, then restarting, to no avail. I'm desperately hoping this is fixable, as this is my main save, with an 8 year farm that I'd hate to lose. T_T

The error message says "File Not Found" when it tries to open "SaveGameInfo"
if we're lucky, that'll fix Life Cycle and that'll fix the rest of the errors

I'm trying to add other hairstyles, so i downloaded the "Modder Example Folder" aswell, replaced the hairstyle shit & deleted all other folders that were empty as said.

you have a hair pack that's the wrong size; when the game tries to load it (probably via Get Glam) it's causing errors
try removing one Get Glam pack at a time until you figure out which one is causing the crash

most mods are compatible, there's maybe... a dozen out of all mods that aren't, and some of those have since gotten compatibility patches i believe.
any notable examples?
Basically any mod that doesn't rely on specific xna features that are windows exclusive, or do specific things for windows using xna (like the audiodevices mod), will work fine.
for the ridgeside mod, does anyone know if you marry Shiro, will his little brother move into your house too?
I can't think of a really big incompatible one, tbh. Most of the ones i know of are some of spacechase's older mods like bigger craftables.

That's exactly why I didn't marry Shiro ๐ He stays in the same house, I believe. It's been discussed on the Ridgeside server to have Yuuma move in with you as well in a future version, it's just real tricky to code, I believe.
