I just found the problem. SV Expanded doesn't work with Stardew Enhanced Town. That's too bad because i liked the Enhanced way more than the Expanded π¦

I don't actually get a crash, but the smapi just doesn't load the mods, the game starts runnin with the exe file but merely like the base game

you could try the 64bit version...
the download takes a while though
the 64bit version doesnt use XNA (which throws the error in your case)
so it might be worth a try

no, that's how i had it on the smapi file
there were like two .exe, one with x64 that shows that when executed and the other one that shows the console w the error

yeah did it a couple of times, but always had to do it the manual way bc so far I haven't been able to install smapi with the installer, it just doesn't install anything no matter where do i put the game

Hi so I got a quick question! I am using a fair amount of dialogue mods with CP and I want to add True Love Valley into the mix, will I still see TL's dialogue as well as the others that I have? or do I need to get rid of some?....I really dont want too tho ;-;
Before when I was installing Immersive Fest. I was told to rename the file to zImmersiveFestival so it would work with Canon Friendly Dialogue Exp. will I have to do the same thing?
I also have Mel's Seb Exp. and i havent had any issues with that so I think ill be fine but I just wanted to check :)

what could happen is that one partially overwrites the dialogue of the other if they add the same thing
ie if they both add dialogue for spring2 for abigail, itll only show the dialogue from the mod that was installed after

they're rugs because they cast a shadow on the ground I think

BFAV was changed a long time ago to no longer need the config edited to add animals.

Playing multiplayer with mods and whenever I go down to marnies area and this happens to the others as well we have had to restart our farm 2 times due to this. We just get stuck in a infinite loading screen and have to restart. If we go down again it just constantly does it. Only does this to the other players not the host

We have changed hosts 2 time
I was the host before
But I never crashed now I am since I'm not the host

This is an ugly error. Unfortunately I'm not sure what to do outside of removing mods that change the area (I assume SVE does) and see if it still happens.
If it did, then it'd be the 50/50 method of removing half the mods to narrow down which one is causing the error.
Hopefully someone else can chime in with something more specific, sorry :/

hi i am also having some crashing problems on a moded save in multiplayer. Host is fine but farmhand keeps crashing. Seems to be some sort of npc errror. Before the crash the farmhand turns invisible and can pick stuff up but not set them down. and is stuck in the host's house.

But honestly I just remember .quote 5033, the quote index. I run to #governors-mansion to run that and get the right quote, then come back here

Sounds like an issue you'd need to bring up with the mod creator.
im not sure which mod is causing the issue
the errors seems to be from smapi, general game errors?, and questframework
I can suggest deleting NPC Map Locations and downloading it again and trying to update any other mods if you can.

yeah I was looking at my log and it doesn't have anything too useful
it's expected between me throwing shiko in and then taking her out
I can run it again and see the log, but it doesn't really throw any errors
Did you remove any mods that modified NPC's on the save you were using?

By removing mods you can break your save if those mods modified NPC's and other important things.
but similarly, would adding a mod break a save?
Not really.
^so like all your old saves are unusable?
Only if the mods modified important files with your Save.
For example, if you had PyTK, TMXL Map Toolkit or SpaceCore they change the serialiser that is responsible for saving information to your save file.
If you remove them your save file could become corrupted or not make them unusable if you remove them.

Last I had heard, which was over a month ago, NPC Map Locations was still not working with 1.5 stuff, specifically volcanoes. Most recently people have had that issue with how to properly update it.
You said you deleted the entire mod and then installed the update?
trust me, removing NPCs will not break your save. May have once, but nowadays Smapi cleans things up. You can even reinstall them a year (in game) later and have them back to the same heart level before they left.

well I'm not crashing every night, we've noticed that it happens when;
-host has a cinematic at the start of the next morning
-someone alt-tab'd out of the game in the midle of the day
in both cases only I crashed (2 player game btw)

For Stardew Valley Expanded, unfortunally, the creator deleted the Old Version of Nexus
You need the Old Version, for 1.4

omg my game is totally glitched out rn
there's no error shown related to it but like a lot of items in my house have numbers over them and my mouse moving is super glitchy and if i dont keep my right mouse button pressed the camera will move out of map bounds and go forever
and when i hover over map tiles with my mouse the tile turns green
im gonna try shutting down and reloading my game to see if that does anything

Babies take after spouses works fine to my knowledge.

yeh you need to actually edit the file in Tiled I'd say, not in a text editing program
it's a format rather than a simple change
(if you open a base64 file it'll look quite different from a CSV file)

Because it can't find the textures so it can't load them.
You'd need to add the textures manually if you plan on editing it.

you need to edit the map in Tiled and replace the one in the mod
then it should work automatically

if you put a dot in front of the enitre mods folder and run SMAPI, it will make a new mods folder
just run the vanilla application
you can run it vanilla straight from the main folder, using the chicken icon instead of the pufferchick
but you won't be able to open you rmodded games that way

like, the buildings won't move, the frame won't move, it only happens when you're clicking on a building, or you don't see the mouse to click on the building

If it is Android, you'll need to install the Android version of SMAPI and then make sure the mods are old enough versions to work

you have a couple of options.
You can launch StardewValley.exe directly instead of launching through Steam / SMAPI, but you won't get achievements this way.
Alternatively, you can create a modgroup with an empty Mods folder (call it Mods (empty hehe) for example) and that way you can still launch through Steam / SMAPI and get achievements, but have no mods

If you're using Seasonal Garden Farmhouse v2 than it's from that, but DustBeauty says it's a false error because all the tilesheets are in the right order π€·ββοΈ

@royal arrow I might have done something wrong, got to the %appdata% part and then dragged the entire text into the box. Maybe I did something wrong there? EEnglish is not my native language so it always gets a bit tricky with things like this.
i deleted al sve folders and redownloaded and it only started crashing AFTER my second house upgrade

Where's the game crashing? The main menu or after you've tried going into your log, when you're inside your same, etc? Because the log just looks like you've loaded to the main menu to me? 

It happened ingame, all of a sudden, the game just shut down on me while watering/gathering or whatever.

To clarify for any lurkers out there: you can get the log at any time, even while the game is still open and actively crashing or what have you. SMAPI will keep the log until you start up the game again, at which point it'll make a new log and delete the old.

update on SVE: went through one day without it, reinstalled and itβs working like a charm again!

I revived the japanese seasonal buildings as ||islands buildings||, always thought it was a shame the pack is hard to use because a lot of the buildings and craftables from 1.5 are missing. Eventually I want to use them on my main farm too but it'll take longer to do
So, i tried to enter in my save 3 times
and the screen was frozen 3 times when loading

Hi guys! Does someone use the Rolling Hills Farm map (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5393?tab=description) and has recolors map not working on it? My map is still in Vanilla recolor when DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour or VPR installed... I don't have errors on SMAPI so i don't know where is the problem :/ if someone has a solution to fix this!

You have two folders, Mods_1 and Mods_2. Depending on which set you want to use, rename that folder to Mods.
