holy crap i fixed it, its weird
i deleted something i apparently wasnt supposed to so i did a FRESH reinstall of contentpatcher lol

it gives me these errors when i have these in the mod folder, so is there anything i can do with it

so the regular came through and it just gave me folders for xnb?
Sounds like you put the wrong things in the wrong folders.

elliot backup is created because i have the extra dialogue mod, screenshots is legit just my screenshot folder and havent taken any for the game, content is made cause of content patcher and i guess SVE, characters/dialogue is made cause of t he dialogue expansions i have, and yaml... idk what the hell that is
i think im gonna leave it alone, if i try deleting anything, apparently i bug out
So you followed this exact process?
- Install SMAPI
- Download mods from NexusMods or Moddrop or wherever
- Download any mods listed as requirements for the mods you just got
- Extract the contents of all the mods you downloaded into the mods folder in your Stardew Valley game folder
- Run game through SMAPI

No clue. Might be related to some optimizations by SMAPI, but it looks like that isn't enabled. Maybe ask Pathos?
With regards to a mod overriding other mod changes: if 2 mods edit the same asset, the one that loads last will win and those edits will be the ones you see in game. This is why I mentioned setting dependencies to change the load order to your liking. It's unclear to me if you tried that yet.
You can always make a backup of the manifest.json file before you add the dependency. That way, if you don't like how it looks, or it doesn't work the way you want, you can easily revert.
As I said, I do not recommend just deleting mod files because the content.json will refer to those files and you will get errors and possibly other issues. Setting a dependency is pretty straightforward if you follow the wiki page.
If you try it and you don't like how it looks or it doesn't work, then you'd have to look into changing the content.json file to remove references to the files you don't want. However, this requires more in depth understanding of how CP packs work and how image edits work. So I still recommend trying changing the dependencies first.
Anyone with this bug? game version 1.5.4 smapi 3.9.5 :/ I first got the quest in the Pelican Town Marlon asked for 30 small bombs, 20 larger bomb, 10 mega bomb, I completed the quest, but the day after, when i was heading to the mountains, this scene started and i cannot do anything, sorry for my poor grammar.

I think the event is bugged and the mod author has to fix that. But there are ways to skip the event (so you never see it)

by skip you mean, is likely for example I'm playing the game and I just don't want to see the cinematic/event i can skip faster, and thats okay?
hey it is only 10:38pm where i live
the game checks if you have received a letter. if you did, it plays that event
you can "forget" that you received that letter, so the event doesnt play
so next time you enter the mountain, the event just doesnt play
nothing else
and what if I re-install the SVE mod? will that help ๐ฎ

Hello! When it says some mod things have updates do I just download the updates and switch the folders for the old ones in the mods folder?
First, you don't have to download any updates if your game is already running the way you want. ๐ I personally ignore most updates once I'm playing my current save.
Second, delete the old folder and extract in the new content. That's it!
Keep the config file for reference if you did anything complicated, though.

I just make jokes and tell people to empty their mod folder and then re-extract everything. ๐ฆ If you try back in about 12 hours there are some people who are really good at helping.
But again, maybe try playing without mods for your first playthrough?

Yeah, I have some that affect gem nodes, like adding new gems
Try moving that folder out of your mods folder and see if you still have the same problem.
It's a slow way to fix it, but testing to see which mod is breaking things should be effective.

I think it did this before I downloaded those mods too, because I was getting frustrated so I completely reinstalled stardew and all my mods lol

Then you need to make Rosier a dependency for your buildings, not the other way around ๐
That'll tell your buildings to load after Rosier, thus overwriting the buildings from Rosier

The 'Required' bit doesn't have to be set to true to load after, it just needs to be there. If you have it as 'True' then that mod will not load without the dependency ๐

I have it set up so that my mod folder is shared between 32 and 64 bit, so i do setup and debugging on 32bit to resolve errors, and then load it up on 64 bit so I can be sure errors are related to 64 bit so i can report them to pathoschild. ๐

Turns out, it's actually pretty easy. In the save file folder there's the SaveGameInfo file. This file is human readable, and xml formatted. It is however what's known as 'minified' aka 'crushed down to a single line to make the processing easiest for the computer', so what you do is you 'beautify' it with a tool like https://jsonformatter.org/xml-formatter and then you can just slap that into the file, and it's all pretty like and you can just make the edits and/or copy them from another SaveGameInfo file ๐
Figured i'd document it in case anyone else is as obsessive as me ๐

Update: SaveGameInfo only edits how your character's sprite looks in the Loading screen, so looks like i'll have to edit the actual save file, but it looks like the same process looking at it. It's just a much larger file to load. All the same spots exist though:
