So usually I download my mods and have my bf do the rest but he's at work so I tried to do it myself and I guess I did something wrong?? I downloaded them then selected all, then I extracted them to my mod folder and they look like this ( the top files, not bottom). I went to open the game and none of the new mods are showing on smapi launch. Help?
Usually the mods folder should be named Mods. Unless your bf set up mod group (?)

Since that folder says zipped, I'm maybe guessing that you place the zipped ones in there and then your boyfriend moves them into the actual mods folder?
I don't think SMAPI supports accessing the mods file outside the game folder

Multiplayer Expanded mod question: Grandpa's shed, we had a bug where a non-hosting player fulfilled the requirements, and it didn't trigger the cut scenes. We re-fulfilled it (50 more iron bars... grumble) as the host player, and the cut scene worked, and it's a cool shed. However... It only shows up for the host player. Not the secondary player that finished it as well, or the tertiary player who had no knowledge of it.
Idk what he does i thought all I had to do was download and extract them to that folder and it was done. Im unaware of any other folder.
Go onto Steam, right click Stardew Valley, go to manage and then browse local files
The folder should be called Mods, located in the game folder
It'll take you to the Stardew Valley folder, where there should be a folder called Mods inside
While there re ppl that play with SVE here, u might want to report the issue to SVE discord to have faster response. To me it sounds like issue in the conditions.

I think I downloaded too many mods. My game is now lagging very bad, the keys are barely working and I tried to do the full screen thing so I could change the resolution but the game went white. I've opened and closed the game 3 times now.

Updating them is easy. Startup, however, takes about 10-20 minutes? I grew up modding the heck out of Sims 2, however, so I was used to like hour load times with my ancient pc back then ๐คฃ

so I tried commenting out the section of sve's content.json referring to npc map locations and that didn't even fix it
anyone have any ideas?
i can't even really post logs because it adds a new line mentioning it fails every frame and the log gets too big to handle pretty quick
what was the original problem with npc map locations?

I have determined sve to be the source of the problem: if i completely uninstall it it works
i have the latest versions of both and it still occurs even though they're ostensibly compatible

yes
Stardew Valley Expanded? It only changes the farm if you download one of the farm maps, you can still play other saves but in that case it'll change where things are on your farm, like buildings, etc ๐

It's happened to me, crashed while trying to save and lose a day of progress
Thankfully it hasn't corrupted my save
I had that happen so much last month, most of it's all fixed now. Although I still get it a few times
My crashes seem to only happen when I try to buy an itembags bag

There's three different options, the one I showed in my screenshot is 1
But you'd still need to crawl through mod files to figure out category names to add to the tabs
Should add a way to discover them
Install Lookup Anything, Enable Show Data Mining Fields, Hit F1 on item

However, I only see 72 and there is no arrow to switch a box side.
Or is the arrow only available in magic chests?
And -1 for infinite, and then scrolling through like in a video hadn't worked either. Or does that only change with scrolling when there are many items in it?

So much work has gone into the whole collection, I'm just blown away. I wish I had some money to throw at all the amazing modders who pour their love, time, energy and even sanity into making our beloved game even more amazing.
I've been having a weird problem, i upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 recently and i carried on my saved game with me, it used to take about 2-3mins to load the save file on windows 7 but now it takes 15+ mins(sometimes it just never loads) to load it, does anyone know what might be causing the issue?

I have no idea, I just downloaded it from nexus and it's working fine for me. The hair doesn't work properly in the new character screen but it works by using the menu and click on the book thingy ๐

I use More Elegant Female Farmer Body, so I had to change the bodies in Get Glam make it work properly ๐
a maschine that makes for the CFR mod, but i need this for the PFM mod ๐
the problem is that the geode upgrade was not made as an independent CFR mod, but really only as a machine in the machine folder.
porting a port should therefore not be so easy, I think: P

I had to copy the body pngs from my body replacer, into get glam and replace the get glam bodies with them. It took a minute or two because I had to rename that one file to be the same for every Get Glam female body ๐

Are you saying that XS prevents any tool from being ranged? Or only chests?
I was doing it via MO2 and so I checked it without it and just CJB items, expanded storage, and ranged tools
So far i've only tested placing items

Hi, I'm trying to play multiplayer with my friend, it's just the two of us on the server. The game loads fine and is able to connect to the server fine. I'm able to walk around and interact with the tv inside the house and all the textures/furniture are visible, but as soon as I leave the building the game instantly crashes. It doesn't load anything but the stone paths. No house, no crops, no trees, no sprinklers, nothing. I am not the host, but the host isn't having any issues. When I load a singleplayer save it loads just fine. From their mod page it doesn't look like it's supposed to do more than extend the range of tools
so dose stardew valley expanded work with other mods i can send my mod folder if someone can look and see if they will work with my mods

yes! its good if u want a wave of new content! theres a lot of new dialogues, new npcs, new events, new places and a new farm! its really worth the try

You can have mods on Android but Android is currently on 1.4.

does anyone know if i can mod in something for this problem: i have donated glass shards to the museum and even have one in my inventory and its still greyed out in my artifacts tab which is annoying if it will keep me from perfection

I mean it's not entirely a bad thing, shows passion and new stuff is always nice. But the pace and scope does make it hard for other devs.

If I use Secret Gnomes (or any other songs that are mentioned with mine exloration) it just plays default music
when I use the EarthMine id it uses one of three tracks over and over again
because CP 1.21 broke Animations. I'm sure a fix is being worked on.

okay, to start with you're missing some mods and have other mods that arne't updated and the combo is breaking things. Secondly, there's currently an issue with Content Patcher Animations. You may need to temporarily remove those mods. It should be fixed shortly

It looks like Custom Casks Mod, which is breaking Artisan Valley, which is breaking a lot of other stuff
you can fix the Animation issues by downgrading to Content Patcher 1.20 for a few days
Unless you have the most recent SVE, which requires CP 1.21
(which I assume you don't or Morgrim wouldn't have said you can downgrade)
yeah in that case tempoarily removing animation mods is better. (HeartQuintessence does have SVE, but I didn't realise SVE needed it)
I haven't had the need to remove, I'm keeping it for mods which may want it present and to get notified of the update. It throws an error at launch and even sprites from mods which only have animations and no vanilla counterpart are static... but it doesn't kill it.
I'm sorry, but this made me laugh, lol.
My AdoptSkin assets folder definitely wrecks it ๐คฃ
how long should it normally take for modded SV to load a saved game? starting a new save is pretty fast, like a minute maybe. game runs at normal speeds too, and i have regular area transition screens, but loading a save takes easily over 30 to 40 minutes, regardless if its day 1 or day 10. i have quite a few mods installed (smapi console reports 88) before i start investigating more i just wanted to know how long thats supposed to take
I have 622 mods currently. It takes me about... 10 minutes for SMAPI to finish loading to give me the main menu screen and then loading my save takes... 5-10 minutes?

creating new ones loads into the game very fast. its also no a problem of booting up the game
Those three are all very complex mods. 30 mins does seem excessive though. Even on my monolithic computer with 400 or so mods it didnt taken more than about 7 mins
But I wasn't trying to run SVE with RSV.
yeah but whats wierd is that creating a new save is like less than a minute. exiting and loading up that freshly created save takes over half an hour
