What is the most common trend tho hahaha
summer/fall year 2 if i actually see the character/roleplay through. spring year 1 if i'm not feeling the roleplay XD
still have yet to get to 1.5 content, so we'll eventually see if that gets me to at least grandpa's evaluation. but since i'm playing 2 days per irl day...that might take a while XD

there's no way to simply point to which mod might be doing it for materials, but i'd look to ones that edit trash cans/storage/if you have item recolours
Ahh I do have recolors and reskins of stuff. One mod pack I had was so powerful it was overriding others, so I had to remove it for now. Thanks again!!

if you give advice, you'll get two heart events where penny and sam get closer, but you're also free to date/marry sam. if you don't give advice, you don't get the cutscenes.

He is roughly SVE compatible but it isnt maintained with sve compatibility
If you dont have East Scarpe his house is on the beach.
So he wont break the game but he may get stuck in furniture or events may crash due to changed maps.

Hello! I want to use several dialogue mods for Elliott but as far as I know, if there are lines on the same day, the ones installed first will be replaced by the ones installed latter. Is there any way to "combine" those mods or make it possible to get all available lines on a day somehow? 🤔 Thank you for your time! ♥

the descriptions of the files probably have the supported smapi version, you'd need to find one that supports whatever the android smapi is
apparently it's smapi 3.7.6, so as close to that as possible is probably the best
the usual choice are the various PPJA mods, but i don't know how those work on android

Hi, good morning, had a problem with spacecore and im hoping someone can help me, im aware by reading some messages here that there is a conpatibility problem that it has with pytk, yet my problem is this:
Whenever spacecore is in the mods folder, i just can't access the load saved games screen, it gets stucked on loading constantly, and the other windows loops the same error message, even if i haven't got pytk installed. Wanted to ask here because apparently there is an unofficial update to spacecore? But i couldn't find it, and wanted to check if that may solve the whole thing

@hot thorn its a known issue... Not sure if there currently is a fix... Sprite Master has some bug related to game version 1.5. Great mod but currently 95% working and 5% totally game breaking
The mod author is working on updating the mod with hopes to also make it work properly with CP Animations which it also doesn't work together with
There is a mod that has the ability to make the game look nicer but at the cost of system speed. So it not the greatest option for older / slower systems. It goes in the games install folder instead of mods and uses a 3rd party software called Reshade. Reshade if you can learn to work with it, contains a bunch of different shaders and smoothers and other enhancements that can be turned on and off and stacked to achieve different effects. I comes pre-config but I personally don't really like the effect, all though it is quite popular. This may or may not be an option instead of Sprite Master.

Just a basic thing I have noticed when using this BFAV is that it widens the animal purchase window to allow for more animals but if your playing with gamepad only you wont be able to select anything from columns 4 or 5 only the first 3. mouse and keyboard are fine though

Oh you can also go to the reshade website - i think there's a couple different presets for stardew valley
I and other have had the know issue with the current update and that once you have an animal from 1.5 not going to say which for spoiler reasons, but once you do there are issue with getting a baby of that animal and the mod is the reason... i figure when you hit this issue, remove the mod, allow the baby to happen, then put the mod back in. I removed it to get the baby to be allowed to happen but then didn't put it back in my mod folder because i really didn't need it.
@hot thorn Ive tried downloading reshade and installing it manually and had issues, I recommend starting with what the mod has as a preconfigured setup, as it works for loading the game and getting the injection of reshade working. Then update that so it's already configed to work with stardew, otherwise its a really pain to get setup and working properly. Once the mod is in the game folder if you download the update from reshadeds website and point it to your stardew exe on setup it will update the reshade while leaving the config intact. Reshade needs to be setup proper for the type of game its going to be used with dx9 or dx10 or what not and the mod already has that set properly to work with stardew

as long as you don't save the save file should be fine though
so as long as you can still access the island it can work as a test
a lot of the mods that add custom music add it for events and the events will break if you remove the music completely

@daring raptor in steam you have to tell it to load the .bat file used by reshade instead of it loading smapi.. The bat file when ran will then run smapi

in side the bat file which is basicly txt, is line of info that tell reshade what file to open and with what method so it works with stardew... the bat is already setup to load smapi as a part of its steps

I love foliage redone but I wish it would change the farmhouse and the insides is buildings
you can remove the reshade files from the folder if you don't like it, it looks at the pic and injects code into it, i will have no effect on your save or do anything to corrupt it

Kind of. There's a mod called Character Planting that has crops that look like the characters. I find it extraordinarily creepy personally. But I think something like that is the closest you're getting.

Does Natural Color always have that blur effect on? (Not sure if it's configurable.) That's the reason I dismissed it early on when looking up reshades and recolors. I really hate that blur.

I used it to make all the sritesheet 4x the size and used PyTK to add them to the game... it looked great and was a better alternative to Sprite Master, but then I ran into memory limitations within the game because I was using 6 times the memory to run the graphics in the game.. So again I hope Sprite Master gets updated as it does the job on the fly and effectively at that.

You really don't have to defrag anymore and if you have an SSD then you should never defrag.

Seems Weather Machine might be causing my issues with little freezes. At least when I have all my mods. I don't know if it does wehn I have none, but I thiiink I still get tiny freezes, just way shorter than with all the mods. So either it doesn't like one of my mods or the amount of mods just make the issue larger (only got like 44 though?)

Had a question about smapis website, I went to check the mod compatability page, and it been saying the mod data hasn't been fetched yet, been saying that for about an hour now
My laptops usually last about 5 years and I didn't use this one bc I prefer my Chromebook for for like the last two

I don't think I've defragged at all
The cool thing about SSDs is that they can read fragments of data spread all around the drive just as fast as they can data all together. So even if defragging didn't hurt it, it doesn't gain you anything either. It does for traditional platter HDDs because of the data being saved on a physical disc that spins around. You want the data that goes together to not be spread out because it takes longer to access it. SSDs don't work that way. I love SSDs.

Defraging is from the days of much slower and larger (in physical size) mechanical hard drives and reconnecting larger files together or related files together closer together to it's quicker to access them was a benefit. As then the read head doesn't have to move to find them all. With an SSD everything is instantly accessible and defraging just means you're wasting/eating into your write limit on the SSD. Also file systems are better these days. Also if you're using Mac and Linux the file systems are pretty much self-defragging anyway

@quasi adder looks like you have some of the mods still in folders from when you extraced the files, they might be to many folders deep, make sure you have just the mod folders required... all the mods that have numbers in the folder names. take those mods out of those folders and use those folders instead. smapi isn't seeing the mods

Unofficial updates fix mod compatibility when the author is away. This thread lets you download and request them.

If one of your mods relies upon this

then it may be trying to load an image that it can't possibly causeing the issue.
The error your getting is a graphics related error
it looks like you have a couple mods that aren't install properly and aren't getting loaded. they likely aren't out of any addition folders from the extraction process ect. and probably need to be taken out of those folders and place directly in the mods folder instead of being barried a couple folders deep inside.
Makes sense. I'll try deleting the Dylawa's Portraits and fixing the other stuff.
@onyx nebula Basically you want to go into the folders until you hit the manifest file. then go back or up a folder, and keep that folder in the mods folder

the words Texture2D in the error message is what says it is graphics releated, what ever the problem
making sure all the mods are installed proper is the first step in case one relies upon another
Toshinori is a bit of a problem child because it has a bunch of alternative portraits and sprites included, some of which absolutely need to be deleted if you decide you're not going to use them.
Some mods can't just be dumped in the mod folder and automatically work. You may have to do some things first

@distant tiger @onyx nebula This is definitely true in some cased, thanks for mentioning that. NPC Denver has extra files to for Male / Female variants and the unneeded on needs to be removed.. so... Maybe it's an issue with the NPC and one to many files getting removed... Might still be a missing image caused by that mod causing the error
Denver has extra steps with the male/female and with the baby eye colors, true, but it's not too bad. Toshinori just causes problems because some of the alternate portraits and sprites can actually stay because they're controlled by the config file. But for some reason I can't fathom, some of the alternate portaits and sprites are in separate folders, which are NOT detected by the config, and if you don't delete them SMAPI flips out because it sees a folder with no manifest.json or content.json doing anything with them. This means some you leave there and some you don't and it causes confusion. Why? I just... don't understand.
If it were me I would make those also controlled by the config.
So do you think pulling that NPC from the game as a test to see if the error goes away would be something to consider?
For Dante? Would not hurt. They could've accidentally deleted something they shouldn't have. If they don't get the error after removing Toshinori then they could come back here and I can help them out. I have Toshinori so I understand what's going on there

Elle's Seasonal Buildings doesn't touch any of the insides of buildings, only outsides. I haven't unlocked the slime hutch yet, but I think it's going to have the slime stuff in it no matter what skin you set the building to having

the few tilesheets used by the mod are all outdoors tile sheets and building exteriors

@crystal wadi it looks like you opened the zip or rar file in notepad... it should be opened with winrar or winzip then extracted to your mods folder

I asked this a few days back but i'm still quite interested... With all the things that can and have been modded in the game including dialog and portrait and sprites of all the towns people... plus all the content replacement packs and custom tiles sheets, and recolors.... Do you think it's possible to mod the game to the point were the only part of it left is the game engine under the hood? Heck even a lot of that's mod available now or adds stuff that never was like skills and such.... Besides maybe replacing all the games sound files, I swear we must be close to pulling this off by now
There is a Final Fantasy pack from way back that does all the npc's well most its not up to date, but I think it plus "Way Back Pelican Town" plus medieval mods and what not that it could be a whole new game...

SDV and RSV add a lot of content to the game as do all the JA packs. But No group of users has teamed up yet to replace the town map and NPC's as a whole to create an all new game. I think that would be a huge but incredible thing to do. And now quite likely very very possible

well, some portrait mods directly replace other mods' assets and in that case the original files need to be manually overwritten. portraiture mods i think also have a special install process

I know the one mod updated that you use right? your easiest option would be to copy and paste the old tilesheets that have been modded onto the new tilesheet. that way the work is basically already done you just have to transfer it from one image to another. Because your pet areas use all the pixels in the area and no transparencies you can copy directly over the image or delete the pixels before putting the modded ones in and it wont hurt anything... just the pet area section not the whole tile sheet (I wasn't sure if I was clear). from one to the next

It does look like it uses TMXL for festivals, which that particular thing can be buggy. Meaning on festival days it may or may not cause festivals to skip or do other weird things. It varies.

Anyone know if Extended Minecart works okay with IF2R?
I tried to use Extended Minecart a month or so (real world time) ago and I had issues with it. The biggest issue is it seems like it hates controllers and I'm primarily a controller player (just use keyboard for mod keybinds). I wanted to use it, but complete lack of controller support is a deal breaker for me. 
(Specifically, SVE's IF2R. as I think there's another mod out there.)
I haven't actually tried using the controller at all with my Stardew.
At least not on PC - though if there's a lot of players using controllers with their PC Stardew, I suddenly understand why modders might apply default keybinds to their stuff...

I'm primarily a video game console player. When I play PC games I use controller when I can. And when I can't, I generally have to change up the default keys. I despise the default use of WASD for most games. It's so uncomfortable

I have the more challenging community center mod and whenever I go to complete a bundle for the minecarts bundle, it opens a cut scene unlocking the community bundle and another bundle in the kitchen. After the cut scene if I go to open the community bundle, that's when the problems occur

Apparently the Fix config file is case sensitive, so now it works!

should still update it maybe if it says you can, but its like in the SVE folder right now so you'll likely have to put the update there instead of directly into the mods folder. Otherwise you likely get issue with having the mod twice.
But otherwise yes you should ignore it because you'll break parts of SVE if you remove it from your mods

It's called Ran's Farm Decor
you can also edit it out of the farm map completely, since it is just a tile, although if you remove the water bowl it might mess up the pet AI, I haven't tested it.

Neither. You should always delete the original folder and put the new folder in aftee (unless the modder specifies "replace files is okay").
Using the "replace files" options risks leaving old no longer relevant files in and causing errors (especially on large mods, like SVE).
It's two different mods, both newest versions
So delete the old versions of each mod from your Mods folder, then put the new updated folders in.

Hmm here’s something random (I didn’t take a print screen of the logs) but apparently my updated automate mod is giving several errors after I ran stardew 1.5.4. Everything is updated there are no conflicts between the mods as far as I know. Anyone has an idea?
Btw the game is running fine, just had a lot of error messages regarding the automate mod. (I removed it for precaution and it’s working without it and has zero errors now)

I had a problem where when they changed the folder name (stardew valley expanded) to (CP) stardew valley expanded caused me the same issue

now i tried to hit this chest open see if i could access it.
found out that i cant, and it swallow the whole chest

you know, i don't need to search the entire map for berries during berry season, making those days an absolute chore to get through. i can just spawn in 400-500 berries per day i know i'd have gotten with cjb item spawner and just make them light socialising days for once

Hey I have a huge issue going on right with mods, none of them are loading even though SMAPI says they are loading and everything should be fine, I really don't understand what is happening
same i love harvesting berries
i use deluxe auto-grabber. grabs all the berries and all the other forage for me 😄

[Stardew Valley Expanded] Could not find location "TownEast" to apply crop watering fixes.
this popped up once I loaded the game
and the mods are still not loading
I might just reset all my files and uninstall the game and try all this again
its really weird
so, while i am indeed taking a pokemon break to rethink my stardew mods and characters...i am absolutely still going to be updating mods that i have once a day.
5 or so minutes a day is a lot easier than an entire evening
oof, i've heard that curseforge stardew mods are not maintained/updated. i wouldn't recommend using it for much if anything

Are your game zoom and UI zoom set to the same number?
I mean I used the reshade version of foliage and enjoyed it, but reshade crashed a lot
so I will try to use the original foliage mod

you can mix and match anyway
to see if you like it or not, make sure to keep a folder for mods you don't want to use atm but mind keeping at the side.

What did you put in steam's launch options, exactly? Maybe we can help spot the issue
when you finish the installation for smapi, i copied the file address and place it into the launch options.
Yeah, I'm wondering what's in there now. It needs the full address, plus a space, plus %command% at the end
i have put the %command% at the end then, when i press play, it says could not find address
Sounds like there's probably a typo, then. Make sure the copy didn't miss the opening " at the start? Or you could manually put in the path to the SMAPI executable in your stardew install directory if somehow it printed one different from your actual location.

Custom Furniture is one of two mods I still have to wait for to update for 1.5 before I can start playing my modded farm again.
The other one being Adopt N’ Skin.

there are some awesome mods that are only still alive due to unofficial updates XD like animal sitter and now get glam
Adopt N’ Skin does have a beta for its next update that I see whenever I check my smapi log for more updates, so it’ll probably get updated soon.
I trust the people that made the unofficial update so I'm cool with it. I'd rather have unofficial than nothing and it works completely fine except for the horses. Of which I seem to have lost one (And he was wearing my straw hat too)
