from my tests+bug reports i've been getting, my tile properties on the back layer don't work and get covered up by black boxes of building tiles, the buildables vanish from the house on a regular basis, and they don't work with the new renovations. plus the always-existing issue with them messing up walls and floors when placed/removed
buildables work slightly better outdoors so i think secret passages is at least somewhat more functional
also hehehehe we have some really cool stuff coming, i won't spoil any more but it's got a storyline and NPCs and everything :D

i envisioned them being used like how the kitchen tiles are setup and used within the farmhouse, sorta in usable units rather than single pieces bc spacing them properly would be an issue when kept apart
I adore DB's Seasonal Farmhouse but the 3rd upgrade is simply too big. I'd love something in the same style, but more cozy
but i could do overlays on some of the bigger items perhaps to create variations to enable in configs

It was made in 1.4 since we couldn't have furniture everywhere, but I didn't get around to releasing it until 1.5
The trick is to know where to find it ๐
So yeah, it's basically using big craftables as furniture
No putting things on them or rotating them though

You only need one version of custom npc fixes but the most up to date one is on SVe.

Yeah what I've discovered is usually you want the host to harvest the crops/items from machines if you're doing MP

Well, SVE is a pretty large mod. It does a lot of stuff that could bump up your 'geheugen' usage.
If you start a save right now. And you open up your task manager, what does geheugen *look like?
If i start up the game, and open a new safe, it crashes

It does! If i have a load of other mods it works fine. But this is the 3d time i tried to get sve to work and everytime its trouble
With the help of someone else i deleted all the mods and installed smapi and sve new. And it crashes.

Worst comes to worst, I would very much recommend joining the SVE server. They have plenty of experience with troubleshooting their mod specifically (if it's not a RAM issue)

2gb is really on the low end. It's probably fine for the base game and a few tiny QoL mods. I have 8gb RAM and my PC is already begging me to release it from its misery.
I'd check out bol or coolblue for a 4gb (around 20 euros) or 8gb (around 30 to 40 euro) RAM stick

To go along with what Obamoose said, RAM is really easy to upgrade for a desktop PC - MUCH easier than laptops. Some modern laptops like to do crazy stuff like soldering it onto the motherboard.

That was a LoC bug but it was fixed in the latest update I think

Hmmm....so...I am using Alternate Storage because it has some larger containers. I have the required Expanded Storage and everything in the json is set to true. Last night I build a barrel that has 72 slots, tested it, and it worked. When the three lines filled up, it came up with arrows to move down to the other three. Now it isn't working. I can't put more than 36 items into it.

For players this mainly updates SMAPI for changes in Stardew Valley 1.5.3 and fixes an issue where title music kept playing after loading a save.
Nothing to add about Alternate Storage or Expanded Storage other than this is sad to hear. Hope whatever's causing that can get resolved. I wanted to use this too. (Have not tried yet, been fixing up my modlist first.)

Give that a try and see if that helps. That could be your issue. Bonster's only has a incorrect version number in the manifest issue (you can manually change it) but that doesn't affect play itself.

(re Bonster) SMAPI will just tell you it needs to be updated even when it doesn't.
Items should never be lost, only inaccessible. If you pull stuff from the top things should flow up

If they have config files, you could turn off specific features, if they're in the config. Otherwise, you'd have to manually hack up the mod files, or just choose only 1 mod

@worthy moth there is one other thing I noticed. When using the most recent XS, I couldn't rename that barrel I was talking about (using chests anywhere). I could rename it, but if i exited the game, it reverted the name to Wooden Barrel#1. As soon as I changed back to the Jan.6th version, it went back to the name I had given it last night.
Yeah, there's something happening outside of Expanded that I haven't been able to track down where chests lose their modData

Yeah someone posted a log and their save files and space was able to come up with a fix to that issue
Shuffling could still be the cause if it grabbed the wrong frame for the top vs bottom

the installer should say where SMAPI was installed, so you can copy the launch path

JA ID shuffling results in general weirdness like your machines outputting stuff with different names, name/sprite mismatches, and crop sprite/crop harvest result mismatches

I'm sorry to interrupt (and sorry if this isn't the right place to post this question, I haven't posted here before so I'm not sure), but I was just wondering if dialogue mods were working for people after the 1.5 update? I've recently started trying to use the yandere Sebastian dialogue mod, but it seems really hit or miss on whether or not it works; some days it uses that dialogue, some days it doesn't. Always works for the festivals, though.

there's nothing that specifically affected dialogue mods except new dialogue being added of course, iirc. This sounds like an issue specific to that mod, or a conflict with another mod (maybe another is overwriting seb's lines?)
maybe copy it so you can paste it later and not lose it? i dont know how these things work so im sorry if i come across as ignorant

I'd read that it was compatible with the Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion mod, which is the only one I'd have that would affect his dialogue, and even then, I tried again after editing that mod and had the same results. normally there's like a little button you can press to switch between html mode and normal mode, but idk for certain... I'd check but uh, you know
iirc if you look up "bbcode", anything you find should be pretty accurate to what Nexus uses, since it's based on that old forum formatting
but yeah, switching between code & non-code mode should help if you have the button available

okay help im having a weird problem that probably has to do with having a custom house maybe? I slept at [1.5 spoilers] ||the island farmhouse|| and i woke up and my character was not at all centered on the screen and was actually far to the top-right of what i could see, and moving towards the door moved the entire building out of frame. Ive quit for now and am gonna open the game again and see if that fixes it but yikes!
I did make a couple attempts to blindly exit the house but its really hard controlling a character when you just have a black screen

Hello, I just hit year 2 day 1 in spring, and I updated all my mods and the game today. When playing, if I hover over a bed in my inventory the game crashes. If I try to go to the menu, and throw this bed away, it does not let me grab it. I have screen shots of the bed in my inventory, as well as my SMAPI crash log link. Is someone able to help me get this fixed? I don't want to start all over again.

A note for updating configured mods en masse: Search the Mods folder for config.json, open all the results in Notepad++, delete and update the mods you need to, then go through the tabs in N++ and "keep in editor" when it finds the original file missing. Then save it and it'll recreate the source file.

So basically I just custom launched the stardew valley vortex link with steam, so instead if steam opening sv modless - it opens the modded version instead
when you install smapi without vortex, it tells you how to do that without vortex
That's actually what needs to happen when you launch stardew!
you need to have it whether you use vortex or not
(and even gives you the entire text string to paste into your stardew launch options)

spacechase actually helped me by tweaking his CP-A mod to allow me to animate the textures for the mod i just released, but he's so busy and didn't update CP-A to the public for months and that's why i never published my mod for a year

@azure socket unfortunately, without a log, no one can read your smapi. the rules say to try not to swear, and there's no need to be rude. we're TRYING to help you
