I had one single error earlier....did the stuff to fix it....then found another error....did some stuff to fix it....then added some more mods....tested to make sure they would work....took some time to decompress....now I have to go back and check the original thing that I had an issue with

Which means it was most likely A-that Ayiesha's Kitchen screenshot (but clicking it again doesn't repeat the error) or B-I caught a gold star fish but since it comes from More New Fish I doubt that was it.
So now my relaxing evening of playing has become a quest to figure out what caused that error lol

You'll have a bunch of normal looking characters except for in one or two seasons
because Seasonal Villager Outfits loads all of its portraits depending on season, day and condition
So yeah you can not have SVO and Furry mod together if you want them to look furry 24/7
so delete SVO
Honestly the option with the least work is deleting the furry mod, but if you're okay with the tedious work of replacing every image like we were doing
then yeah delete svo

Which...with SVE his vending machine is stuck in a barrel so you have to noclip to reach it but...I need to see if it does it on other vending machines

not automatically, it unpacks them but you still need to make a content.json and manifest.json to make the png actually work

cause before, i remember playing with mods disabled my achievements
you just have to make sure to launch through steam, you can also manually give yourself achievements that don't show up in steam

Also vortex sometimes doesnt clean up properly but i use vortex aswell. Really all you need to do is purge, delete everything in the mods folder except the smapi mods, and then redeploy

Since it's very quiet on the RSV discord, I'll ask here too. Anyone know of any incompatibilities with RSV and some other mod that would prevent me from accessing the town of RSV? I try to enter it and it makes me just bump into something off-screen. I can go up and down (off-screen) and then eventually I am in my farm. I am not getting any kind of SMAPI errors or anything
what classifies as "smapi mods" cos aren't they technically all smapi mods? 👀 i only use vortex for ease of updating
SMAPI mods are mods that have a .dll and aren't content packs for some mod or another (content patcher, json assets...)
Well they are smapi mods but vortex decides to pull out the link to activate it which pulls the main json so it isnt active but this time it purged just the link and not the json

I deleted a bunch of mods and I still can't fix my problem. Maybe I'll have to just completely start over with an empty mod folder and just slowly install things. This is incredibly frustrating

I believe Birdie is another one of the NPCs that would need an offset adjustment in the globals.json file.
What am i supposed to be looking for inn the patch summary?
This process wouldn't nearly be as painful if we could adjust the offset and update the map in real time instead of having to:
• Make a list of NPCs that need offset adjustments.
• Figure out what the correct "[Villager Namer]" variable is needed for each NPC identified in the previous bullet.
• Add and/or adjust the offset of said NPCs within the globals.json file.
• Relaunch the game and check the map to see if further adjustments are needed.
• Repeat until all affected NPC offsets have been corrected.
if you can just post the log with patch summary, we can help you figure out why the characters are all vanilla! don't worry about looking through it right now

I believe the workaround for that was to use the following two mods together to achieve a "similar" effect:

Most often they're optional recipes and whatnot that you dont have installed
With the default settings my hunger bar was completely empty by day 2. This in turn caused a speed penalty due to the starvation debuff as well as 10 points of health damage every 10 minute tick.
If you're concerned you can always send us a log and we'll check it out

Before I started using the timespeed mod I was kind of panicking trying to find forage as well as clear debris, talk to npcs, and plant the initial 15 parsnips 🙁

LoC adds some recipes that clash with other mods and make JA sad. there's an option in LoC's config to turn off the recipes. let me find it
an outdated mod that's on its very last legs and has long ago been replaced by mods that use current best practices

@dire fractal go into LoC's config and set "AddNewCropsAndStuff" to false
it basically uses SMAPI to load xnbs, in a way that is not up to date with the way modding works now
it's not safe to use and we recommend getting rid of it completely and doing a content reset

you've got two files there, one says it's named config and one says it's named config.json--which is the one you've edited?
Just uninstall the game instead 
there is a looping noise as well and my feet sliding around
you get that because LoC adds a recipe that already exists in another mod

I had the same error a little while ago. It's a known error. What Jack is telling you fixes it.
it's not broken, you just have duplicate recipes from adding other mods
can you try opening the one named config, selecting all and pasting what you put in the one named config.json?
