For some reason stardew valley expanded seems to be bugging?
the login is different then others so u need to change the steam command that opens the modded one
π i'm betting it's because deepwoods gets rid of everything in the level when it shuffles? i'd be interested to see if it clones again

then, launching Stardew Valley will launch modded, and launching your shortcut to the base-game EXE will launch the basegame via steam
alternatively, open your Launch Options for stardew and take everything out of there
These are still the floor that didn't change even after adding all the mods it suggested
the horse is back, a different color, and not doubled. i did a list all animals command and closed out

Anyone know if the Better Artifact Dig Spots CP version is working OK? I have only played maybe about a week of my current save but I haven't seen any worms OR the treasure chest I'm supposed to be getting from the mod. I know it could be RNG, but I am getting lucky clovers randomly, which when I pull them it gives clay and mixed seeds like dig spots can. I do have the lucky clover crop installed. I'm just confused because I never saw lucky clovers on the ground until this save and I'm not sure if lucky clover crop or the dig spot mod or something else is causing it.

Are you using Flower Valley and/or Eemieβs Map Recolor? I think one of those changes the dig spots to clovers, if that's what you're referring to
Sounds like you might have a mod overriding the dig spot changes to instead be clovers, still a dig spot! but it looks like clovers

oh hey @lapis void i think this mostly is confirming that the mod has a good workaround and works fine when someones horse is despawned. I'm looking at just the adopt and skin messages and theres one about no horse to call, and one about no one owning a horse. also something about no adopter able to be detected??? That might help figure out whats up with the not being able to adopt stuff

To go along with the link that SilverSiren is getting for you, you'll also need the version of PyTK on spacechase's Discord. The current PyTK doesn't like the unofficial BFAV for reasons that are beyond me and my un-modderness. (lol)

does the mod Seasonal Garden Farmhouse V2 change the textures of the looks look the mod page pics look like or is it just adds to the house?
@dire fractal it does change some but not all. If you are content with mismatched floors you dont need the other mods.

I went one mod at a time till if found out my recolor wouldn't conflict then I grabbed them all. Just make sure to get the main version of Rustic Floors and Walls and the CWF version

I installed the Immersive Shane mod and want to re-do his earlier events with the mod's spin on them, but deleting the event IDs from my save file doesn't seem to work with re-triggering the events. again, not really a mod question but just throwing it out there lol

So i think my savefile is corrupted? It's no longer showing up when i go to load game and SMAPI is giving me the error "[game] Exception occured trying to access file 'C:\Users\brynr\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves\MoonGlow_268692586\SaveGameInfo'" and I was wondering if someone could help? Like I read i just have to edit the savefiles to make the old one the current one but my computer doesn't let me edit those
i think theres mods that let you replay heart events, im not brave enough to edit my savefile lol

Yes, but there are some exceptions. I think vanilla events definitely are repayable. Idk about custom events for vanilla NPCs without additional tweaks. And events for custom NPCs are definitely not automatically replayable and would require additional tweaks
Hello, can someone help me install Smapi? I don't understand what I have to do with the CMD console, it asks me to put the path of my game executable and I don't know how to do it, isn't there an easier way?

@dire fractal my biggest gripe is that Grandpa's Farm doesnt have it's own map. IF2R does! Why can't GF?
If it can't detect your game path you have to copy+paste it in
Normally it finds it for you, but when it's in a non-standard path you must do it manually
There's also a troubleshooting section in the guide that talks about how to get your game path if you need to do it manually

@tired brook hey my dude. Ive modified the conig.json of Automate to lower the priority of "MiniShippingBin" but somehow its not working. I tried to sort items. So wool and Rabbit Foot shouldnt get sold. I tried to sort it out with another chest. Set it to priority output and lowered priority of mini shipping bin in config but the bin keeps sucking in the wool and rabbit foot.
Earlier one was super blatant, and they peaced out right away

@keen rune The priority only affects which machines get dibs on the items. If all the higher-priority machines are busy, then any remaining items still go into the lower-priority machines.
because all i get from the damn skull cavern chests are cowboy hats, turbans and auto-grabbers

@keen rune The usual solutions are to make sure you always have enough machines to handle the full capacity, so you never have any leftover items they can't process; or to place a path connector between the machines and the shipping bin, so you can just put it down occasionally when you're ready to ship whatever's in the chest.

the only problem with the horse is that the more common name for the breed is g*psy vanner, which is a slur and i dont want to say
NPCs can ignore building tiles in certain cases i think--if there's a warp underneath they can use, they'll just blast right through lol

it looks like you might be using some XNB mods. specifically your UI mod and your sprite mod don't show up anywhere in your log, which makes me think you're using XNBs. that's likely why that part is blank, it shouldn't be

@tired brook okay i found abug i guess. Sorry to bother you again. I have a Junimo Chest connected to kegs and a mini shipping bin and an autograbber. When the autograbber grabs strawberrys or stuff it gets directly send to shipping bin after its been in Junimochest. When I replace Junimochest with a regular chest it doesnt happen. Strawberries go streight into kegs and then into bin. When bin is removed it works fine.

I do not believe Montag's Modern Kitchen and Farmhouse will work with SGFv2 because they both change the interior.

Yep, Junimo chests are still a bit quirky in Automate, since it doesn't actually support them directly yet. I'll be adding full support for Junimo chests in an upcoming version though.

normally we would ask for a log, and that's the best thing to do over a screenshot of errors, but in this case that error means that you haven't updated your game properly or are using XNB mods

i picked up the children beds and put them in a chest. they don't have an item label, can't be thrown in a trash can, and a bomb cannot destroy the chest. i moved it into a corner and stopped looking into it because it locks up my controller when i open it. my smappi has a sea of red stuff now but otherwise the game works fine.

also i used upgrade cabins in single player and then disabled it. the cabins turned into wells that would let you go in where the door should be then crashed the game

the only personal info that's in a log is your save name (farm name with a string of numbers after it) and the path to your game, which has the name you use for your User on your PC, but there's no information that would allow anyone to hack your steam

Looks like Json is having a lot of errors with menus??
Some custom npcs were using base64 like herbert, and others were using csv like nikolai and mister ginger so I was confused.

I'm just guessing, but it appears as if you have 3 mods all trying to edit the walls. Your picture isn't the default walls.
The three trying to make changes are Vibrant Pastoral Recolor, Montag's and Grapeponta's Vanilla Interiors

After investigating the manifest.json for the "Custom NPC Exclusions" mod I discovered that the update key entry was as follows:

bonster's crops and trees have errors in the manifest, they don't need to be updated. you'll have to be more specific on the issue with more new fish

Those waterfalls are an open-use mod from the forums from waaaaay back. A ton of mods use them, but you have to make your own custom tilesheets to include them. You'd literally have to recolour each mod that uses them separately, unfortunately, which is I guess why she hasn't done it yet.

Thing is, people are always going to come in here trying to use it incorrectly. You can tell them all to switch to manual installation, but that wont fix the problem in the long term

It's the mod manager equivalent to a third helping of cold porridge, but it works when you get through it. The problem is that is was touted as this revolution in both ease of use and function. Didn't uhh...didn't work out that way.

(vortex keeps its own mod folder 'staged', that it uses to keep copys of things it hasnt deployed yet, largely for games that require you to install things in specific orders, wholely pointless in sdv, but yeah)

I think vortex uses the contents of the staging folder as a reference for what to purge or delete when uninstalling mods

i have used it for fallout and skyrim though and it works fine for them

i was never interested in the figuring out and remembering who likes what thing, so i legit just give myself a stack of a universal like and only use it for gifts
I like this setup because it does make walking around much more varied, I've never been big on walking around giving gifts anyway

Here's what'll happen: I'll sit here for a while in a hunger-induced purgatory, then I'll eventually eat out of rumble-annoyance, become energised and motivated to do something, start with the winter ladder because simple colour pallet, and then stay up past my bedtime figuring out the rest.

Yep definitely Lucikiel event. He adds a bunch of random dialog to the villagers when you talk to them each day too. The mod author put a ton of work into him and it shows
