Okay so hours ago I was having an issue with PFM Quality Artisan Products not producing varied quality products based on the quality of the input item. I solved what the issue was. So if you use automate and were automating putting the items in the machines it wasn't working with the PFM Quality Artisan Products , unless you also installed PFM Automate.

if you launch modded stardew from outsude of steam, steam should still detect it as long as you have it open

I was catching nothing but trash, and looking up the fish I was after in CJB showed no info for them.
...Unfortunately I'm not sure what fixed it.
I updated some mods this morning, though nothing that had anything to do with fishing that I remember.
There is, in general, a problem with modded fish mods not playing nice between them

Stardew Aquarium adds at least one that I know of but it was a legendary so I cheated anyway π (that legendary, in my defense, was rendered not-catchable because I use Teh Pers Fishing Overhaul lol)
I have no qualms about cheating but if you merely spawn them, they don't count as "caught" fish

Shearwater is the one that's level-locked so I can't catch any of the fancy fish anyway

hello, does anyone know why debug befriendanimals doesn't work? i'm in the coop with my chickens, but all it says is "Sent debug command to the game, but there was no output."

did you check the friendship of your animals after doing that? I know that when I use debug commands to teleport, it teleports me but doesnt give an output 
ah okay I didn't check, strangely enough the friendship bar is filled so I guess there just isn't a "success" message for the command
My game crashed when I investigated the rat problem. I have 24 mods installed, SVE and Immersive Farm are the big ones, and the others are mostly QoL. Any idea what might have happened?

Ah, yea it turns out that because I was using Automate, it was causing quality artisan to not work. You need to also use the PFM automate if you use Automate in order to get ti to work.

Help! Does anyone here know why the game would suddenly start to drastically drop fps as soon as it hits summer?? It's the 2nd time I've played through a smooth spring, but as soon as I leave the farmhouse it's lag, lag, lag :S and Only at the farm/certain areas of it(??)
You really don't though. Besides memory issues, eventually things start crashing without obvious causes and it's a nightmare to debug

I don't think CCCB has remix support yet, but you can always add it in whenever. bundles you haven't completed just get swapped out

My favorite thing about CCCB is it supports SVE AND PPJA. It's been really fun to have to gather unusual things that would never show up in a vanilla bundle, even remixed.

ah gotcha. Jasper is by Lemurkat, and she also worked on Blanche for translation purposes. Plus Lemurkat tests everyone's NPCs, so her NPC mods are extra compatible with other NPCs

So I had this problem with the crafting menu and a mod was causing it. Does anyone know of a mod which would make the menu for crafting food recipes transparent?
i'm just gonna back track on a few mods i downloaded because i didnt like when it told me the shaved ice machine had abunch of things i couldnt make
when i didnt need it-
there are two possibilites here: one would be a UI retexture mod and one would be a mod that changes the UI (like the Love of Cooking for example). Do you have either of those?

Shaved Ice has optional packs that are definitely optional, but you'll see harmless messages relating to the fact you don't have the optional items from the optional packs o.o

Having issues playing modded multiplayer, friend can't enter any buildings, log parser says it has to do with the Json Assets dependency but I can't find the problem

I've pinpointed the mod that is causing the recipe crafting menu to be transparent, apparently its Spacecore
Which I can't remove as it is a required mod for most of my important mods.

I don't know why but I removed half of the mod until I figured out which mod made my food recipe crafting menu transparent and Spacecore made it happen
maybe its one of the mods dependent on it

It's more of an installing mod thing, I got smapi and I'm excited to use it, I just followed the directions to a tee, and one of the directions involves clicking OK in Steam Launcher, how in the heck do I click okay? I pasted it inside the designated box, but no ok button is popping up? Should I just shrug and go with it? Oh, and stardew valley (un-modded) is open right now. Do I have to close it and open it up again to start mods?

Yeah there used to be an okay button but now you just put it in and go.

however you wont have any mods if you havent installed any

most mods you can install just by unxipping them and putting their folder in the Mods folder, some have more specific instructikns on their page
@fast river It appears that Cooking Skill is probably the cause as removing it with SpaceCore Installed fixed the transparent food crafting menu

I am not certain I have a specific folder for mods, like, I have the folder for smapi, do I add the unzipped bois to that folder?
I'll need to look into it later. Should be a simple fix, but I'm debugging something else right now
It also changed the order of the recipes, where it seems like the PPJA recipes were above the vanilla ones
Removing it did
@jagged dagger if you have run smapi, a "mods' folder was generated in your Stardew valley folder. That is where mods go
Its not a game breaking issue or anything
That's weird, it shouldn't affect the order of recipes
Its just visual

Yep dropping the cooking skill back into the mods folder put the crafting menu back into order but made the items transparent again...
